Hello. I saw what you are reviewing, and got nosey. I ordered the baritone version of this guitar today. As of now, my favorite guitar is my Fender limited custom Telecaster FMT HH. I was looking for a traditional Telecaster workhorse, and discovered the limited custom edition. I couldn't pass it up. I bought it, and no regrets. Love it! I have another Fender and an Ibanez. I have four HBs. I am intrigued with what a quality guitar they can make at a working man's price. Two of them had minor problems, but i love tinkering, so not a problem. Thanks for the review.
Wow! This is by far the most thorough review I've ever watched. Insane quality, attention to details. The definition of getting more than you pay for :)) also it was the first video of yours that I've watched. +1 Subscriber. Greetings from The land of Dracula!
Dude, your reviews are the best out there! So much technical informations, you are kind of like gamer nexus but for guitar related stuff, but i think the noise thingy you should cancel sanctioning guitars on that topic cause there will always be noise because of that 'harp' on any guitar with a proper headstock or floyd, its like complaining about a combustion engine making noises when you drive your car
Thanks for your feedback. About the harp thing, well yeah, most guitars will have that. But why don't some guitar brand invent something to prevent that already and make it a standard thing on all guitars? Something like that is long overdue. Many guitarists use different tricks to mute strings at the headstock. It's time to for the guitar industry to react. I'm just bringing this to everyone's attention :)

Ah, I am pretty sure that the transition between the neck and the guitar body is not due to the paint, but to the fact those are actually different pieces of wood?
Hey man, absolutely stelar review quality. Instantly subbed. Quick question: did you find any trouble with playability on this guitar seeing as it's a little neck-heavy. It's the only thing putting me off as I hate neck-heavy guitars.
How did you get rid of the noise issue? I seem to have seen at some point at the beginning of the video that you were using some gadjet over the strings past the nut point... Also, is it safe to assume that these issues would bleed over to the other models as well? I have been thinking about getting myself a baritone or a 7-stringer for a while now, so here be my questions.

Are they truly active though or is there just a boost circuit or an active EQ? My Les Paul has a 490R and a BurstBucker pro which are both passives. thanks, great review. i got myself a b-stock (A6-BKNT): finish - very good (minor imperfection at fretboard-corpus-joint) neck - perfect alignement - perfect intonation - perfect electrics - switch and pots not properly tightened, known output-jack issue (first batch model?) electrics issues fixed within a few minutes, include fixing that awkward toggle switch alignment. basic string setup was quite good actually, just optimized a few bridge settings to meet individual preferences. the amarok's playability is very good. intonation is razor sharp way up to 24th fret. fretboard, frets and neck finish are a charm to play on. headstock design and mechanics allow for a "tune once and forget" kind of handling. what really had me fall in love with this instrument however is her sound. the unplugged instrument's sound already oozes loads of warm and dry wood with a rich voice. now pair that with the EMG hot 70s precision and devastating power. it was already beautiful in standard E, got a little extra punch in D, but when I slapped on .52s and dropped it to C, it just made me want to pull down my panties immediately. those pickups are beautiful beasts, the instrument tames them where required and let's them run wild when desired. maybe i've had exceptional luck with my individual guitar. after all, choosing an instrument is a matter of personal preferences. the amarok's sound, playability and finish make her an exceptionally valuable instrument for me.
Got the Amarok and like it a lot. My B-Stock-Model was a bit misaligned concerning the graph tech saddle, so that the high e-string ran quite close to the edge of the fretboard. On the other hand I had no issues with the noise or the heigth of the pots. So I think - as you said it in the video - there might be some reported issues which don't occur in your buy but with some of the guitars. I consider my Amarok as a good bang for the buck and like especially the warm tone of the EMGs. Keep on the good work, I like it.

How easy would it be to drop a push/pull coil tap into these?
Can't be done with these EMGs. The preamps are installed on the back of the pickups and there are only 3 wires coming out - hot, cold and +9V

Ó'Beolan. Pennsylvania. I am considering buying one. Found you while looking for info.
Would consider one. I have am 59 strat. I built. I could could go with more of a name brand. However I want something different and your
Review ease's my concerns somewhat. Seems a good value with more guitar for the $$$
How is it possible that Henning's Amarok weights 4 KG's and yours 3.1 KGs? with mahogony? :P
Awesome review. I thought I saw a sharp fret end, but in different views, they looked quite smooth. To me, frets are really maybe the most important, since a lot of the other issues can be fixed. Those pots are just nuts - although I am not an expert on EMG pickups.
Holy shit I love how you explain everything. Cheers from Egypt! 🍻🤘
I was checking reviews for this guitar because it looked really interesting but it seems on thomann this model doesn't have the grover lockin tuners anymore
wow this is how a guitar review should be done perfect!
Great vid and greetings from Rio Grande City in south Texas, USA! I'm glad i came across your channel as im looking into purchasing my first HB guitar. I purchased the 2x12 HB cab with vintage celestions and was so impressed with it, ive decided to give their guitars a chance! Great channel you have and i will subscribe!
That was a perfect review
Thanks 👍🏻
I am about the buy this guitar but i really have so,e QC concerns. I had to send the EX84 I bought back as it arrived with a warped neck and just tool marks everywhere. very torn.
Hi, i am from Germany, i will buy 1or 2 new Harley Benton what do you think is th best Harley Benton i have only 6 number 7 must come. LG Detlev
very specialized, very delightful sir. I dont understand about technicals but just watched
Its mind boggling to me that these things have the same necks as the Fusion models and are not closer to Wizard style necks. like... what were they thinking...
Incredible review. Seriously considering getting this guitar. If i do, i shall use your affiliate link. Cheers from the UK.
Thanks a lot :) Meanwhile, the part 2 of this video is now public. There's some more stuff in it that is good to know before pulling the trigger on this one.
Hi, I'm watching from Hungary, my favorite guitars are the Solars and I discussed your chanel by your very usful tip videos and gun harley benton builds and demos. I'm really enjoying it thus far, keep it up. 🤘
Thanks David! I've heard lots of good things about Solars, barely played one myself though. Hopefully, I'll get to check one of them at some point
@@MaxSoloMusic A Solar would be my dream guitar but I haven't played one, I don't know if I should get a Solar maybe or an Amarok one day, a comparison would be amazing.
@@davidtobis3614 well, if it gets to that, it totally makes sense to compare the two! Noted :) And Hungary is awesome! I had some good time in Budapest a couple of years ago
@@MaxSoloMusic Awsome!
@@davidtobis3614 Save the extra cash and get yourself a Solar :) it's definitely worth it. I've tested them and am currently waiting for an AB1.6 model to come in january.
very thourough review thnx, any recomendations on best guitars for under 700 euro?
dude, that intro mix is insanely good. What are your influences?
Dude, this is properly insightful - you definitely need to get more guitars on this channel.
More coming!
Is there a huge import tax to the UK does anyone know?
Did you buy this guitar yourself, or did HB send it to you?
Nice review, should be a link to Part 2 at the end.
Great review. The neck measurement is gold. Looking forward for the SC Custom 2 review.
Hey, thanks! I'm not sure I'll get to check the SC Custom 2. I was thinking of SC-550 :)
Hello. Great video. Would you recommend this guitar to plan Clean tone? Any better options?
Amarok is not the best choice for cleans. It has a very specific sound of those EMG Retro Active pickups. Single coil pickups usually sound better on clean
nice review. I like your methods!
UK always looking at guitar's
your channel is so good holy shit.
whats the other guitar? i like it better
6:34 where did you get that tool ?
Great review! Thanks.
If only these had a trem....
1) Harley Benton Amarok-BT BKNT.
2) Harley Benton Amarok-6 BKNT.
SORRY WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE 2 GUITARS THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
BT stands for baritone. Amaroks-6 is a standard scale 6-string
Nice jam
