It’s a shame that TH is not invited to more car press launches. My guess is that their honest, unbiased reviews may seem threatening to many manufacturers. Keep up the high integrity, guys!
On the smoking tire podcast they said they turn down a lot of them because it doesn’t work with their format
They get invited to everything. Producing videos at their scale is long and requires a full logistic plan that doesn't work with the tight timeframe of product launches. I personally started turning some down simply because it's very time consuming. Carmakers also tend to control the environment at those events.
Doug DeMuro has an interesting perspective on that as well.
I love them but long story short: they don’t do it because they can’t get the access to do what they want. That’s because they don’t do the numbers of other people. What that says about the general populous is for you to decide.
U need ppl like that in life tho. That’ll keep it real and ultimately help you improve.

I love these guys of course, but yeah that is huge proof that they live in a very different world, and a very different tax bracket from many of their viewers. I might be able to afford a 25 year old Porsche lol

It was just confirmed that the new Dodge Charger Daytona will also come with the 3.0 liter Hurricane 6-cylinder that's in the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer L. That's a very powerful engine considering it makes 510 horsepower in the two Wagoneer L models. It may not be a V8, but it's better than having no form of internal combustion engine. I'm also excited about the Mustang GTD, and whatever the next C8 variant is.
Yeah , hopefully the interior is as nice as the exterior. Sweet looking vehicle!

It feels like fewer and fewer cars are going to be interesting to car enthusiasts every year. There’s nothing on this list that’s affordable to the average income.
😂 I have actually resigned myself from drooling over expensive cars and I think that driving something more sensible is actually better. I mean just look around yourself and see what kind of people drive around in these beast type of cars and how they behave in traffic. I ain’t want to be part of that anymore. At least where I live if someone drives something expensive it’s almost surely a jerk or narcissist behind the wheel cutting me off.
That's cars in general now, not just high performance cars
Prius won an award from throttle house, so I think there will still be interesting cars, but they will be very different from what we expect.

That kind of easy, spontaneous banter is often tried and rarely achieved by mediocre breakfast DJs but it comes so naturally to these two. Two mates, just plopped on the couch with a laptop, wagon off together.

That Ioniq 5 N looks surprisingly cool even though I’m not a fan of EVs. Kind of wish they make a gas or hybrid version of it. Would be an epic hot hatch.
Unfortunately it's not really a hot hatch in dimensions. The proportions are so good that it's impossible to tell on pictures but it's really big in real life. It's more a compact SUV than a hatchback really, the seating position for instance is surprisingly high.
It's bigger than it looks and a lot of the things about it wouldn't likely work in a non-EV. I love it, but it's just too expensive and seems built for the track, not a normal commute or driving long distance. I think EVs are great for some people and terrible for others based on their driving needs.
The two of you are fantastic. Love your way of doing these videos. Keep it up, and by the way, the car manufacturers should see and appreciate your super fun and exciting way of doing car reviews, and invite you to these premieres/presentations of their new models. Thank YOU 👍👍👍
As an Aussie, the Ioniq 5 N and GR Yaris 8AT are the hype cars for me. Also, anything that comes out from Genesis these days is a banger.

Simulated gears on an EV could be useful, and basically determine how sensitive the throttle response is, and that might affect energy output in a way that is more economical to drive in a lower response, and less in a more powerful one.

This is why I'm a huge fan of miata. None of the cars on this list is affordable. Miata on the other hand? Super affordable, and tons of aftermarket parts.

I SAW THE CYBERTRUCK on the road a couple of weeks back. I live in Texas and I was getting some In-and-Out(GASP) and I was driving on the service road and saw the Cybertruck drive on the Highway. I had to take a double-take because I couldn't believe my eyes of what I saw. It's definitely getting close to production.

first of all, the comment about the Atlantis, doing drug test, was hilarious! Secondly, us Dodge guys have been screaming that this is not a very good idea for the past two years now! There’s no such thing as an electric muscle car, we don’t want electric cars, but Stellantis is trying to force it on us anyway. They’re just gonna have to learn the hard way.🤷🏾♂️
