@darailvesneva now that I’ve gained more experience, GVM because they are more innovative unlike Neewer where they reproduce other innovations for cheaper.
Just subscribed Sean, I too appreciate every sub I get! Anyway, thanks for the video. I've been looking at the GVM for awhile now but before the inclusion of mobile control. I think it’s time to grab one! Great job!
Sean… you’ve got a sub. Awesome lighting and great coverage on the new improved slider. Your Amazon video sent me here. Just wondering how is holding up. Your lighting is awesome? Anyone wearing glasses without all the glare is an art. (AR coating just doesn’t always fo the job) Please keep up the work. Also checking the arms for the tripod!
Good morning from Florida Kevin. Thank you for the kind words. I’m still using this slider almost every day in the studio and I love it. No signs of wear yet. Thanks for subbing.
If I understand you correctly, you just have to make sure that the middle slider that can be adjusted forward and backward is set in the exact middle position and tighten each down. If I’m way off let me know. We can do this hehe.
Good review, I would have liked a section about how loud/quiet the motor is. Obviously for B roll motor noise is not important but I'm curious if the motor would be audible in an interview type situation either from an on board mic or a remote mic placed closer to the subject
Hello, save the app from the start and end point of the slider or do you have to do it again every time. It would be important for me to know because of the purchase. Thanks.
👍GREAT video, one question for you. Can we operate this even when out of cel service range? Have read elsewhere that to use the App on the phone you must log in each use before you can control it, requiring internet access, which means if up the mountains with no cel phone service we wouldn't be able to operate this slider. Is this true?
Thanks for watching. When I'm filming in my studio, I'm usually in airplane mode and so the bluetooth control has worked flawlessly. I'm impressed how this slider and my phone connect sonquickly and efficiently.
The manual slowest speed of 1% from one side to the other is 2min. Now in Timelapse, whatever your settings are will effect the time from one to the other.
@@SeanHelmsMedia Well, I'm expecting my GVM to arrive this week! And I"m hoping that the GVM slide and my Nikon D6500 can communicate via the accessory cable so that the timelapse feature of the camera is what advances the slide every 15 seconds. Congrats with your YT channel. Nice content! Subscribed!
@@SeanHelmsMedia no problem. I just got started with my video business a year ago and am grinding on UA-cam. Do you have any advice?I’m currently trying to get out as much evergreen video/photography content as I can while trying to optimize Instagram and Facebook. Appreciate your video- when I go to buy a slider later this year I’ll support with your affiliate link.
@@Real_ParkerBrown everyone's journey is different but our niche is starting to open back up. It was so conjested with the stay-at-home folks that thought they would make it big here. At the risk of asking to much if you could offer criticism to help me improve when you have time that would be great! Thanks again for being so cordial and willing to help. Have a great weekend!
Hv u tested the app on Android coz it seems on the play store that most people are not happy. It has 1⭐ rating and that is what just keeps me from buying it and I don't want to buy that old remote one
No sorry I have not even heard much about the Android version. Your question will spark me to now download apps on my android tablet, (Tripltek) and share that experience from now on in my reviews. Thanks friend.
Heeyyy! Sean, nice "slider". Great video, as usual. You da-media-man. Good to be back. Keep up the improvements my friend. Be seein-ya.
Thanks Jeff. Good to hear from you.
Your video on Amazon convinced me to take the leap and purchase the GVM. I was debating between the Neewer and GVM.
Well I’m glad I was able to help. That’s the rewarding part. How is it?
Neewer or this?
@darailvesneva now that I’ve gained more experience, GVM because they are more innovative unlike Neewer where they reproduce other innovations for cheaper.
@SeanHelmsMedia I really want to buy slider do you recommend this? I'm tired 😫 of watching videos I should buy 😪 one
Make the leap with this one. I’m still using mine.

I have an iPad to management all my productions devices and my phone is not compromised if I need to use it
Hi Sean, I'm trying to do a STRAIGHT back and forth shot, so how I stop the ROTATION of the camera. Thanks in advance. Take care.

Outstanding idea. I will implement this in the future so I really appreciate the feedback.

This video at the time of shooting would save in the app but that was a while ago. But I can’t image they would remove it.

@@SeanHelmsMedia thank you so much, exactly the answer I was looking for.
Great review brother!
Thanks a lot sir. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
✌
would you recommend those stabilizing arms for the GVM 120 Slider as well? Or would you recommend something else?
I would very much recommend these for most cases because they are highly adjustable in length. Have a good weekend.
This is 120cm or 80 cm ?
Great video, well informed, thank you. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks Andy well appreciated.
What is the difference between 80 and 120?
The 120 is 40 cm longer.
Where's the link to the fluid head?
Let me check. It was out of stock last I checked but let me see real quick.
I’m glad you said something because it’s back in stock and an Amazon choice item. Thanks. Link is in the description again.
does it come with a cable to plug in to continuous power?
Yes
@@SeanHelmsMedia no it doesn’t
You are correct. Was thinking of one of my others.
@@electronicfellows2113 but it does have a port for DC in. I had a power supply sitting around from a different device.
Still pumping out content with this baby. Last two videos showcase the capabilities of this reliable slider. Now for some subs lol?
I definitely need one of these 🙌
Yeah. I just keep using it after the review which is unheard of for me.
@@SeanHelmsMedia That's good! I love reviewing things that I can actually make use of 😂. I definitely need to pick one of these up for b-roll.
Good job this is my favorite video
Send payment info.
Does the slider save presets between when you turn it off and back on again? Or do you have to set the presets every time with the app?
Presets are set every time. Sorry so short. On the road.
@@SeanHelmsMedia No problem. Thank you!
Is the slowest End to End still only 3 minutes?
The manual slowest speed of 1% from one side to the other is 2min. Now in Timelapse, whatever your settings are will effect the time from one to the other.

I hope it works well for you. I love mine. Thanks for subscribing. I’m trying so hard on top of shooting weddings and commercials in the interim.
Great video!
Thanks a lot Mr. Brown. Have a nice weekend.
