Thanks for the comment! However, I'm not sure how we should proceed to make improvements. Would love to hear your specific critiques. Feel feel to add a link to your instructional video!
24 you got a good swing Brother . Seriously . I can't tell whether or not you're cutting the ball or not but you're long to the ball and that works for slo pitch. You can drop your hands n kinda swing on the same plane as the ball . Again thanx guys
Appreciate the feedback James! The cut is a relatively new concept so still working through the growing pains. Hopefully you can start seeing some improvements throughout the spring!
Did you notice a difference in the ball? I find the nx3 balls to have a super grippy cover compared to other balls. I can usually spin the heck out of those things! I honestly haven’t notice a difference in any of the barrel coatings.
I don't think there was a noticeable amount of added spin however we both prefer to hit those NX3s. Maybe it is extra spin and we just don't notice. Always feels like those fly a bit better.
Thanks for watching Manny. We appreciate the feedback, and will definitely continue to put in the work off the tee to master the cut swing. As you have seen, we are in our infancy in the learning process! Any other tips you have, let us know :)
3-great bats! 1- Seems like you are hitting more off your front foot and shifting your weight more with the cut swing. 2- I have had people tell me the flexier barrels are better for cutting the ball... your opinion?
1 - That is definitely true. Neither of us have really dialed it in yet. We have to work on staying back a bit. 2 - I (Cam) like the flex for a cut swing but I think Jason prefers more stiff handles for cuts.
Hey Mike, thanks for watching! Unfortunately, these are all USSSA bats and won't be allowed in NAGAAA tournaments. Each of the three companies does make an ASA/USA model that would be eligible for NAGAAA events. I can send you some links to them if you are interested! For NAGAAA events, we still think the Monsta bats are the best of the best.
Just recently found your channel. Subscribed! I’m 53 and been playing slow pitch for years. Have no cut swing at all. 4 home runs in my life. Maybe I should try cutting method. Thanks guys!
Thanks for the Subscription! The cut swing is definitely worth learning so that you'll have another tool in your tool belt. Once you get it, then you can decide when and how often to use it. Always have to keep getting better.
Hey Patrick! We are looking to get into some Senior bats in the near future as Cam just became eligible for Sr. ball. We will see if we can't get our hands on a Suncoast to compare it to some of the other brands. Stay tuned!
Hey Josh, thanks for the tips. We are still in the infancy of learning how to put a good cut swing together so any suggestions help. Anything else you see?
I love it. All these haters talking about how ugly the swing looks are dumb, yes you guys are learning the cut swing but you have taken the time to study a lot of great softball hitters. In my opinion the cut swing you see most top level players have are using a bottom hand dominate swing. Taking the bat head to the ball and ending the swing coming down on the ball. The swing is effortless and you focus on making 100 percent contacted. With the bottom hand swing and hand over knob you create leverage that wips the bat head at the ball the lunches it. Its hard to adjust from using the two handed baseball grip like you do, the top hand just needs to do a little less and remember to throw it like an axe. Also have those hands high. This is softball not baseball do what works !
We appreciate the encouragement! We know our cut swings aren't too pretty right now but we're ok with that. Just like any skill it's going to take time to master. You all just get to see the beginning stages. Thanks for watching!
I follow but even cutting the ball I'm not strong enough to hit tanks . I'm 5 8 185 . I've never even consistently hit it 300 ft . I get the science n spin but ...
What about the effect of endload? Would be interested in another video of balanced,.5 ounce endload, and 1 ounce end load. Could use the same bat, many come in all 3, e.g. Easton Fireflex 240. Thanks for your great videos, love the content.

💯 swinging way too fast, knob to the ball/ level swing.

If you can hit .800 cutting the ball line to line, who cares if you don't hit tanks. Size doesn't stop you from being an OBP monster.
