how about doing this: bat in hand, line up knocking knuckles, then take top hand and twist to the right slightly moving the palm toward your body, and hold bat loosely. This will slightly lower the barrell of the bat hitting the ball below its mid line. All you have to do is watch the ball and pick your pitch. Especially when you are short pitched. That barrell should be in an almost perfect spot when coming thru the hitting zone. Now you can also put the knob of the bat into your palm for even more whip in lieu of even going with overhand grip. What you think?

Man. Back in the day, The USA women’s Olympic team were swinging Utrip men’s bats. Everyone swings 25 now😂

The physics is very clear on this...a 27oz and a 25oz bat swung at the same speed, the 27oz will drive the ball farther...so ALWAYS use the heaviest bat you can swing that does not throw off your timing

Some batters will tell you to stay close and tight while others will tell you to extend out. Some will tell you that you can't have a conventional baseball swing while others say its ok. I just started playing slow pitch softball and I've come to the realization that I just need to find what works for me and stick with it.

I look at softball bats like a big bat bag full bats ranging from lighter to heavier swing weight like a bag of golf clubs as for different game situations. The lighter swining ones for getting on base if it is just you going to be on base or with a man on the heavier bats for driving runs in including myself.

I get the CS from the Tee and what i find fascinating is how easy you can control the ball. Line drive oppo or whatever .. it doesnt take much to really steer the ball whereever you want it. So, yeah .. from the Tee. But talking about Live Pitching Lol .. no chance. Greetings from Germany btw ;)

I just want to say that I have averaged 1 HR per season for the last idk how many years. Last night I hit 3, and we don't have a fence. I changed my swing and it made a huge difference

I understand the tee argument but if you’re like me in an area where most people don’t play or are to lazy it’s hard to get plate time in without a tee or a decently expensive machine

NAGAAA SOUTH FLORIDA UNITED HERE! When I first started playing softball of the age of 21 I was swinging a 30-oz bat and was still hitting home runs. Now I will be 43 still playing looking forward to the World Series in Vegas but I tend to use the lighter but now for bad speed

As allot of others said waaay more talking than actually seeing the swings. Needs to be more balanced we will get more from seeing the swing as opposed to more commentary. Still good stuff though just need to show more of what’s being discussed.

Use to play baseball all the way up to high school. I’m 32 now and just now joining a Slow pitch team. Checking to see if any differences… Need to practice tracking the ball again… It’s been awhile 😂

I play in a corporate slow pitch league in south SF. Watching a few videos with Jamie I see I can learn a whole lot from him! I'm also a palm-up pitcher, with only a few years pitching with intention. I'm trying to learn new pitches. I'm wondering if Jamie is still pitching around the SF area?
