Great video, one of the ways I got a job with no experience was by creating a video, that made me stand out from the crowd, and they felt like they knew me before I even turned up to the interview!
Ive actually considered that and may do it Love this video and the accent&office ur great m8 Whats a cv again ?? Also yes I like the radio idea to rip friend Chris
Great video. I don’t know if you said it in the video, but what was the timescale between you graduating and obtaining a grad scheme when you did all these things? Also, how long ago was it that you did the job at Subway? Was it before uni and then you quit or did you continue throughout uni? Many thanks.
GOOD question! I started my graduate scheme 2 years after being graduated. I was at Subway for 1 year whilst I was in sixth form and quit before going to university. graduateIshare
@@AdamLuke ah ok. I’m pretty much in the panic postgrad situation now and have little experience, so it’s reassuring to know that getting a grad scheme can take time.
@@JukeBoxOwl I was in a semi-similar position. It took me a few months to a year to bulk out my CV after graduating. After that 1 year, I applied strong to graduate schemes and managed to secure one!
I am I selling stuff on EBay, Amazon and other platforms for few years now. How can I write these, what job can I mention on CV? Manager of my own online business?
If you say you're an entrepreneur on your CV and you've started a business the employer will think 'why will I employ him when he would just go and leave and start his own business shortly. I think you have to be careful about mentioning stuff like that.
when it comes to making $1K selling on eBay/etsy or whatever they'll know it's more of a hobby, less so a viable business alternative, just shows GREAT initiative.
Adam, have you ever considered age as a factor in all this.....with the young age of you & your contemporaries really helping you out on the job market? I'm not being negative but just giving you some context....I've done all the things you suggest but at 56 years old & after 300 applications I've still got nowhere.

Video suggestion: You could make a video about passive income (and how to get it)
Great idea, LOVE it! I'll be more money making/finance videos soon.
