As an upcoming senior in high school in the job market it may take a hundred applications and 15 or so interviews before you're hired. So, never give up. If you fail, think about what you can change about your approach. This video gave me some better insight into what I should do moving forward.

Get some. Hubspot offers free Certification courses in many subjects and you can find your State/Province Food Handler's Card or Certificate for pretty cheap. They're quick courses that you can use to enhance your resume and learn more.
I got my job at a grocery store at 16 and didn’t have a resume. They don’t really have a reason to deny you. When they are hiring, they are hiring. All the new hires we get are all given a chance. We’ve gotten new hires who were a little slow and couldn’t handle the job and later got fired. So having a resume kinda depends on where you’re tryna get into.
How to stop being absent minded? It's hard to stop. I got bad grades because of not listening in the class and thinking unrelated topics while in the class but my teacher said to me that i am smart i just don't listen and also my classmates said to me that i am a overthinker. I think being overthinker is the reason why i'm absent minded
Begging for a part two gohar, i want to get some beforehand experience on the bank accounts and investment funds, kinda nervous on those topics, please make a part two 🙏🙏🙏
as a 17 yo who just moved here in the uk with my family less than 4 months ago, i am very lucky to be employed at a loungers restaurant within a month with no qualifications or even an interview with max hourly wage for a 17 yo because of my uncle who works there. after 3 months, i am now being transferred to their other chain which is bigger and closer to my current house. i believe that things will only get more difficult for me especially because of school, but so far so good i guess.
Love that you’re teaching life skills now! I actually had an easy time landing a job. I currently hold 2 and I’m looking to land a third one. I got my first because I went to a job fair that hires teens, and I got my second one because I just applied tbh it actually wasn’t that difficult lol.
I got my first job at 13 which was really useful for the experience and helped me get future jobs and was a good source of income. It set me ahead of most people and is still one of the best decisions I’ve made 👍 I know people who didn’t get jobs until 18 and really struggled to get them for me now getting jobs is a breeze you’re never to young and don’t give up ❤️
Gohar, you are very good at explaining things that matter in simple, concise ways. This is solid proof of that. Keep this series going and DO NOT stop. As for an episode 2, I recommend teaching what to do with the money from your job. For example, how much of it to spend on wants vs. needs, savings vs. investments, etc. It would be really helpful for lots of high schoolers, including me.
I'm so glad you just started doing these videos now that I already graduated out of high school, I will use those useful tips to land a job while I'm in college this fall.
everything that you mentioned at the end like how to open a bank account, credit and debit card differences make videos on all that please!! it'll definitely be helpful to a lot of people
Great Video! Could you make a video about how to responsibly use money, or similar. Something like a money related video are really helpful because school doesn’t teach you or require you to learn about money.
Wow thanks Gohar as always. I was thinking all day about getting a job because it's summer and I log in to UA-cam and this video pops up. Perfect timing as always
amazing video! literally all the essentials in 12 mins lol could you maybe do a video on how to politely resign from a job? i know i’m not going to be in my hometown forever and will eventually have to move somewhere else for college, but i’m not too sure how to respectfully quit and would love your specific tips and instruction!
If you're going for food service it's not that deep. Most food service places especially franchises will ask for ability and stuff about you and some don't even require a resume. Indeed also sucks if you do find a job on indeed you should apply on the company's website. Showing up 15 minutes before isn't required most mangers ask that you show up like 5 minutes early because any more is awkward for them.
Bro my first ever job, I froze up on the "tell me about yourself" question. The employer was a distant relative of mine so I got the benefit of the doubt, but it was still super embarassing.
as a recently graduated highscooler going into college to get a degree in teaching music, this realyl just cleared up most of my questions about getting a job. thank you
Hey Gohar this is a bit out of pocket question. I saw one of your reels "Side Hustles for Students" and one of them was freelancing, now I have started a page but no orders yet, and I am not sure how to promote it and I remember you mentioning that you were able to gain lots of orders so how exactly did you attract the attention?
I am 14 and a Music Composer, Producer, Records Label Master, UA-camr (Not This Channel), Poet, etc... and surprisingly, my record label is the largest in my district
PLEASE MAKE A PART 2❤ and im 15 with no job experience nor any extracurriculars what do i do, i really nead a job so that I can have experience when i write for a future resume 🙏🙏🙏
I'm 17 and have had 2 internships about IT. I only want to get a minimum wage job but someone told me that they might not hire me because I might be overqualified and think that I would demand too much.

What if we don’t have any extracurricular activities? What if someone hates sports? Come on. Millions of people just go home and/or they can’t do them. Some of us don’t have anything besides their hobbies. Advisors need to include those kinds of people, too. They need to start helping without saying the same things.
Thanks, Gohar, for this video. I've been seeking jobs ever since my parents divorced. My mom works hard, so this video is incredibly helpful for teenagers like me.
Guess i got it somewhat easy, i got my first job 2 months ago. Small town, just walked in, small interview and went to work the next week. Only down side, really the only place to work in my town
Thank you, Gohar, is all I can say. Keep going, your videos are so helpful! Also Mahadthementor temporarily became Mahadtheinterviewer 😂. And yes, WE'D LOVE A PART 2
