@ProBookworm42 Dude I absolutely LOVE the Honor Chasm callback! It gave me chills! Thanks about the comments of the new set up!!! I really appreciate it!
I thought similarly to you about the endnote ketek, I thought it was the Stormfather. Honor hasn’t learned his lesson (yet) about oaths, while both Dalinar and the Stormfather chose to renounce their oaths and sever their bond. The Stormfather did learn this lesson about oaths, and I believe he is the one who left the ketek. For all the reasons you said why you thought it was Honor, I think it was those exact reasons but with the Stormfather
I loved when Kaladin says "Honor is dead. But I'll see what I can do" as a call back to when he jumped in the ring to help Adolin in Words of Radiance! Chef's kiss!!
It's also showing Kaladins growth. In WoR he had little hope, lots of anger and no thought to the future. In Wind and Truth he is saying it with hope and a wish for the future, in peace with himself.
Another cool one I missed on my first read through is that Renarin had a vision that showed Kaladin becoming the new herald at the end of the book. One of the stained glass pictures he sees shows 12 people standing in shinovar. One of which he says is blue like a natan or aimian, but is actually just Syl. So the scene here is depicting the 10 heralds (with Kaladin) and the 2 spren (Syl and Nale’s Highspren)
I like the reveal that this entire arc is a lesson for the Power of Honor. Learning that Keeping your oath isn't the part thats honorable but the spirit in which the oath was given. (Not really an easter egg i know)
Another foreshadowing thing with the "Unite them" is the fact that in towers there is the sunmakers gambit which we had a whole chapter on and its exactly what dalinar did
I think it’s more likely that the “tiny speck of blue against an infinite canvas of black” refers to the planet of Roshar itself, hanging in space. That’s why the previous line is “…and the world was so frail.” Gavilar is realizing that he and Roshar are still tiny fish in a massive pond.
I think the weapon that Kalak gave Taln to kill Cultivation is the Dawnshard of Change that Rysn now has. I don’t have any reasoning other than I don’t know of anything that could kill a shard other than Nightblood or a Dawnshard and this Dawnshard happens to have most likely been in the vicinity.
I figured “And the world was so frail. A tiny speck of blue, against an infinite canvas of black.” was referring to the planet when viewed from space. Which I think fits given that part of the ending is Dalinar drawing the Shards attention to Roshar.
My favorite little nugget is one I have not heard talked about on the you tube reviews I have seen. But I am sure others have noted this. In RoW and most of WaT, Adolin is mad at his father. It is so interesting how he disappears right as retribution is about to grab him. He ascended to godhood. He should have been able to stay, due to his expanded soul.
Also the power tells Taravangian that Dalinar "is claimed by someone else", so he's probably still around somewhere (I didn't think of Navani grabbing his soul but maybe! Or the action of another Shard?)
There's a callback to a conversation between Hoid and Kal in the first chapter. "I will not lie by saying every day will be sunshine. But there will be sunshine again, and that is a very different thing to say. That is truth. I promise you Kaladin, you will be warm again." -Hoid during Kaladin's vision from Odium "That should have made him an anxious, stewing pot of nerves. Instead, he tipped his head back, sun warm on his skin, and acknowledged that while he didn’t feel great, someday he would feel great again. For today, that was enough." I swear Kal tells either Szeth or one of the Heralds exactly what Hoid told him, but I can't remember where, and it's hard to skim a 60 hour audiobook.
It is mentioned, "the ones who ride those great beasts" or something like this, making me think of the people on the "island" where Rysn fell off and broke her back
I'd say the spec of Blue is in fact Urithiru, specifically the shield around it. At least if this is literal. Blue is also the Kholin color so there is also some symbolic interpretations to be had. A break in the clouds over Azimir would be brown if we are being literal or probably golden to represent sunlight if we are being symbolic.
Urithiru is above the clouds so it doesn't make sense, it can only be Azimir. They literally had a whole scene of the clouds opening up to reveal the blue sky.
@@CosmereHorizons Hmm, I can see that. But from the way it's described I feel more like it's looking down from above rather than looking up from below. Kind of hard to imagine the hole over an entire country being just a spec from the ground. But from high high up, a single city being a spec, that seems more reasonable. Stormlight has had a lot of visions of people looking down and seeing the vast ground before them, what with riding the storm and all. Plus the vision came from the Stormfather, a perspective from above just seems more natural and fits the imagery better.
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT... I HAVE A CRAZY THEORY THAT YOU INSPIRED At the end Retribution tries to claim Dalinar's soul, but it is "claimed by another"... that could be Endowment, she brings back Dalinar as a returned, and as all returned return for a purpose, HIS purpose would be to UNITE ADONALSIUM back together. boom.
Personally I think Valor is on Roshar for a few reasons. 1. Each moon corresponds to a shard on Roshar so why was there once a fourth moon and where did it go? Similarly we have no idea where Valor is. Even shards don’t know. Endowment has communicated with her but doesn’t know where she is. 2. Right before Taravangian stabs Rayse he appears to lose the will to do anything when all of a sudden he gains a great surge of bravery and attains the will and the strength to stab Rayse. He describes it as if he was flooded with the feeling. It seems to imply Valor’s touch. 3. When Notum first arrives in Azir he says he came because he heard a woman’s voice calling him to arms. We are never answered on who this is but weirdly enough this chapter is also the chapter that Endowment mentions plans she and Valor have in the epigraph. Valor would be the most likely shard to call someone to arms as that seems to be part of her intent along with bravery.

Also at end of the prelude of the Stormlight Archives in the Way of Kings: “Forgive us, Kalak thought, then left.” And at the end of the postlude of the Stormlight Archives in Wind and Truth: “Taln … forgave them.”
Wind and Truth was better than Rhythm of War. That said... I was more disappointed with Wind and Truth. I just found Sanderson 7 months ago from Mistborn then WoK and some novellas ( Sun Lit Man is great). WoK - Oathbringer are amazing with my personal favorite WoR. To keep that level of hype is crazy so a slight pull back of RoW to set up an epic conclusion in book 5 was understandable. Unfortunately WaT gave me a subpar conclusion. It was a decent book. Had moments that were exciting and touching but did not capture the highs of book 1-3. Cosmere is set up great. I love Wit / Hoid and I'm glad he's our (blurry) window into the realm of the supernatural. However for Roshar this book fell short for me. 3.25/5.
It seems like a really arbitrary number to choose though. It is 11², but so what? "Kk"? It is really similar to Aux in digit-reading. There are only four ways of grouping the digits into substrings which concatenate into the original: "121" (ASCII: "y"), "12 1" (simple: "LA"; Greek: "ΜΑ"), "1 21" (simple: "AU"; Greek: "ΑΦ"), and "1 2 1" (simple: "ABA"). None of those, other than your suggestion of "Lå", seems any good to me.
I don't mean to be mean since I really enjoy these videos, but how are you going to only talk about the cosmere for your whole channel? Like, you'll soon run out of stuff to say right? Anyway, I'm just saying this since I'd find your thoughts on other fantasy series interesting- like Wheel of Time, Cradle etc.
Don't worry it is not mean! It's a really valid question! I will definitely have enough content for more than a year to keep me going for a while! I MIGHT touch on other series like, Red Rising, Wheel of Time, LoTR etc... but not for a while.
Just that the first letters line up!! TWoK lines up with (T)rusted (W)ords. (K)nown.... and so on! Hope that helps! Also the AUX thing I KNOW ISN'T THAT INSANE!!!
First read-through!? I don't how anyone could ever read this garbage more than once! I was so disappointed and had to power through this slog. I wish I never wasted my time with this series. Lesson learned. If the 4th book goes downhill that much then book 5 won't make up for it.

oh my goodness, AUX!?!? THATS AWESOME!
@@bradleymartin6254 THATS WHAT I THOUGHT!!
Where does Sigzil story continue? What do I need to read?
@@afrikan_d_manky
the fact that it is connected is a spoiler to that story… BUT…

sunlit man :)
(it wouldn’t hurt to read shadows for silence in the forest of hell, it’s a short story that provides a little bit of context for the story but not required)
Thx for the fast reply
The sunlit man is ordered
"Unite them" could also mean uniting Honor and Odium.
THE AUX THING WTH?!
I KNOW RIGHT?!?!?
To be fair, "Unite them" is also what he did by creating Retribution.
Really good point actually, it can be interpreted in multiple ways I feel.
I think the speck of blue on black is saposed to be roshar in space
Also at end of the prelude of the Stormlight Archives in the Way of Kings: “Forgive us, Kalak thought, then left.”
And at the end of the postlude of the Stormlight Archives in Wind and Truth: “Taln … forgave them.”
SO. GOOD.
another banger!
Thank you!!!!
I thought the “speck of blue” referenced Dallinar
The end note made me cry when I read it. Keteks can be so beautiful
that is a nice bookshelf
"Unite them" does get me
It’s so so good
Just FYI you misspelled prologue. Love the video though!
UGH, I am HORRIBLE at spelling and my editing software doesn't have auto-correct
Thanks!
Sin embargo Wenceslao Adelina sí maligno ya vídeos?
So, does Nale's spren's name mean anything?
Not that I could see.... 121, I saw a comment saying potentially Lå as in Law?
It seems like a really arbitrary number to choose though. It is 11², but so what? "Kk"? It is really similar to Aux in digit-reading. There are only four ways of grouping the digits into substrings which concatenate into the original: "121" (ASCII: "y"), "12 1" (simple: "LA"; Greek: "ΜΑ"), "1 21" (simple: "AU"; Greek: "ΑΦ"), and "1 2 1" (simple: "ABA"). None of those, other than your suggestion of "Lå", seems any good to me.
Holy chasmfiend the last one connecting with the book names
DUDE AUX WHAT
I. KNOW.
I missed alot because I returned...
Sorry, I hated it. I love the 1st 3 books. Book 4 was so so. Wind is terrible. Apparently, a good book was hidden and I'm still looking for it.
True - he’s def gonna need to expand at some point. Esp given how shitty Sandersons writing has become
Don't worry it is not mean! It's a really valid question! I will definitely have enough content for more than a year to keep me going for a while! I MIGHT touch on other series like, Red Rising, Wheel of Time, LoTR etc... but not for a while.
@ That brings to mind the question- what else _have_ you read? What's your Top 10?
Dense. A nice of way of saying, a shockingly grueling and boring end to the first saga of tSLA
12124 also adds up to 10
“That’s actually insane” in gen z voice
1 21 24 = AUX 😱
I didn't understand the part about the Ketek and the book titles though, that went over my head...
Just that the first letters line up!! TWoK lines up with (T)rusted (W)ords. (K)nown.... and so on! Hope that helps!
Also the AUX thing I KNOW ISN'T THAT INSANE!!!
@@CosmereHorizons Thanks, got it! Keep up the great work with this channel.
Too bad this book sucks.
But also, like, "Unite Them" as in Harmony and Odium?
First read-through!? I don't how anyone could ever read this garbage more than once! I was so disappointed and had to power through this slog. I wish I never wasted my time with this series. Lesson learned. If the 4th book goes downhill that much then book 5 won't make up for it.
> "wind and truth is dense"
> shows 491k word count
i don't think you know what dense means.
HAHAHAH
I noticed this while editing and I was like
I don’t think anyone else will notice lol
but it’s the exact type of thing that would bother ME in other vids so I appreciate u pointing it out haha
Something can be both long and dense
Finished the book. bloated is a word more apt than dense.. You've really shown a light on the type of audience that Brandon is catering to with his shift into YA.
