Eddie, thank you so much! Yet another fantastic lesson! I’ve only recently discovered this channel, but you’re already one of my most favorite guitar teacher!👍🏻
Not too complicated, very thorough, nice melodies which are attainable for beginners like myself to at least try to play (or do something similar anyway).
    Huge thank you👏🏻

Wow! What's the best way for a professional guitarist to boost the ego and morale of a self-taught guitarist? Be someone who plays like Eddie Haddad and make a video, leaving in all the "whoops" moments. I'm totally serious Eddie. I started playing guitar when I was probably between 12 and 14 years old. Back in the 60's I actually thought I was a lead guitarist and for a few songs, I even sometimes looked and sounded like one. In reality, I don't think I ever qualified, but I still felt worth something because I could play rhythm guitar with most anyone of the time and to nearly any song. I just celebrated my 74th birthday and still play guitar (even still try to play lead if they virtually beg me, probably because they're desperate). I often hit notes that somewhat match whatever tune they're playing, but invariably will start hitting off notes that, to me, sound terrible, mostly wen I try to play with songs in the key of D. My point and reason for commenting is this: Even if you hit sour notes occasionally, don't give up and please don't quit trying. I'll never be the player I wish I was, but I can make mistakes just as well as Eddie can. The difference from here on out is that I'm going to try my darnedest to now show my errors in my expressions and also try to slide or bend into a note that becomes at least a close match to what I had intended. Honestly Eddie, thanks for being a "real" guitar teacher!

Triads and power chords [ R 3 5 ] are my favorites when it comes to playing the guitar all over the fretboard.
