Kraft is something of a preview of what Frieren will experience down the line. Eventually, they live for so long that everyone who knew of them will be gone. Kraft seems to have made peace with it, he's not so much detached, as living in the now, people will come and go, so he seems to enjoy the moments when they come, knowing that he likely won't see them again.
@@ronnymeow821 actually there are evidence to support that he is OP. he's a forgotten hero that also saved the world long long ago. and she's older than frieren. also he's a warrior with a sword before becoming a monk.
@@creativecave116 just because he's older doesn't necessarily mean he's more powerful. and yes, he was an ancient hero, but not only do we have no clue about his abilities besides being handsome as hell, we don't know what kind of danger he faced. for all we know, if could have been something relatively weak in comparison to the well developed demons and mages of current day. It literally could have been a freaking disease that he found out how to cure when he studied the ways of the goddess. as I said, there is no way for us to be sure.
you're right that we don't know for sure. but you initially stated that there are no evidence to support that he's stronger than frieren. which I disagree. you may also look at serie. she's obviously older than frieren and we also don't know her backstory but it clearly shows that she's far more powerful than frieren.
Imagine outliving numerous iterations of the Department of Motor Vehicles LMAO of course a mage certification would seem like a trivial thing to Frieren.
Introducing a character like Kraft, someone older than Frieren... it's another way to almost highlight that Frieren is still growing as an individual, since most of her life was spent in isolation and Kraft's wisdom & emotional intelligence is there to see... it's like he's there to show us that Frieren herself has a lot of growing to do.

6:28 It's not pronounced "Ow-burst." The letter you see in Äußerst that looks like a B isn't a B. It's a German letter called (according to Ye Olde Wikipedia) "Eszett or scharfes S." It works just like the German version of a double s (like in bass or class) and is pronounced just like a regular s in English. The city of Äußerst is pronounced like "Oy-serst." At least, that's the closest approximation that I can type out into a UA-cam comment. For reference, this is how Äußerst is pronounced in the English Dub of this episode: ua-cam.com/video/G9TJIqbvhDU/v-deo.html Also, 7:36 the Stern (Stark X Fern) Shipping is strong with this one. Also also, I didn't expect you to be so down bad for Kraft. Then again, he *_was_* introduced shirtless with a rocking 8-pack. 14:46 in a previous episode, Frieren said that it's been 400 years since she's last seen another elf. Versus Kraft who's had 300 years since his previous elf encounter.
Thank you! I already struggle with English at times so these names definitely have me using my brain. Also if stark and fern don’t date I’m going to be so upset. The 8pack got to me. 😂

It would be rly nice when frieren can meet the soldier or the son from the count in aureole. We realize here that fern is raised by a priest or without actually contact with a boy in her age till stark. Stark also dont grow up with ANY contact to a girl in his age. Not awkward but special. I love it when the shawm hits :3 How Monk warm up Stark is actually science-based. Special Germanlesson: The b looking letter is a sz or ß, a sharp S like "sizzle" or "son". The Umlaut ä ö ü its like ae oe ue. Bit difficult for non-german speaker. Probably for english speaker "Oy" is the best way to pronounce it in some way.
Nah, if Kraft join..the journeys will be way too easy and not fun to watch...He way too OP to join the team~ it's like u bring Hokage to Genin mission in naruto universe...not fair~
They already have Frieren along with them which is pretty much the same thing. Kraft would be more breaking for the story because he seems pretty well socially adjusted and observant of people.
@@ObiwanNekody I'm anime only, i know Frieren strong but not yet surpass Serie, But Kraft is another story from what i hear from manga reader...another lvl. of power..mini spoiler from them but i know Kraft strong!!! don't add Frieren to the mix or the journey will broken~
@@Cerberus919 that's just speculations, Kraft has no direct feats or statements as of the latest chapters. We can infer he's extremely powerful, but you can't scale him against anyone
It seemed that Kraft recalls personally meeting Goddess of Creation (~5 thousand years ago) when he was a grown man already. So I'd expect him to be at least 10.000 years old.
@your_neko Sure, Kraft believes in the Goddess' existence right now. But don't forget, he only started having faith in her when he became a monk (and for most of his life he has been a warrior). Before that he was like Frieren; only hearing of the Goddess but not believing in it per se. There are only stories of her communing with mortal during the mythical age-none that he alludes to having witnessed himself or witness accounts he has known personally. In the anime and manga nothing has been confirmed of Kraft's backstory, other then him being quite older than Frieren and once he was known to be a very formidable hero. The rest are currently unfounded assumptions by fans. Fun theories, don't get me wrong, but without any reliable base of information.
