- I am so excited to introduce you to my friend Jalil Johnson. Jalil is MAJORLY into vintage and I am VERY into shopping my closet so we decided to combine forces and recreate some runway looks using only pieces that we could find on The Real Real or in our own closets. Together, we chose three runway looks- an “easy,” “medium” and “hard” and used those as inspiration. It is so amazing how two people can take the exact same look and put their own spin on it! You are going to love this video!!!!!

This should be a series. It would be fun to play with the more extreme masculine and feminine in the next one. Like Zimmerman vs Thom Browne or something. It's really interesting to see the two interpretations! xo

I had never looked up looks from a runway show in my life before your videos and now I do! Jaleel is adorable and you two have great chemistry! Thank you for incorporating menswear on your channel! Personally, I’m a BIG fan of the skirt over pants look. It’s so edgy, unexpected and avant-garde. I’ve been loving pairing my black pleated skirt with black trousers!

The Celine look reminds me of Hey Arnold when they ask Arnold about his skirt-over-jeans and it's actually his long shirt peeking out 😂

I LOVE this. I love how experimental you are with your video concepts and how they are shot. I love how the two of you pair together and work together. The two of you are so similar with your passion. So collectively inspiring. I love how Jalil's admiration for clothing pieces, thrifting and dressing show. Bring him back. Riff off between the two of you. The same one piece styled five ways. Must have closet pieces. Accessorizing day/night. Loungewear. Endless possibilities. I love how you can see each of your individual personalities. I love how you take a runway image (completely unattainable/unrelatable for me) and make it more digestible and something less intimidating. So beautiful. As always. I am now rambling. There is so much potential in this channel, I am seriously blown away at the subscriber number. I think the only area that could maybe be improved is the production quality, but the content is AMAZING. I think it could easily have 500k with minimal updates, and maybe more consistent posting. Love it!

But where is the giraffe necklace from in Jalil’s “hard” look??
Loved this! I know this is about using stuff you already have.. but I think the fabric of the skirt isn't optimal for the look. I think it would look more chill if the the skirt sits a bit lower and the fabric hangs a bit more so it doesn't have this tütü vibe.
