Thanks for the video! I understand the detractors for you, but for me it's a solitaire game so I'm good with no 2 player out of the box and the art is what I'd expect having Orchard, clean and simple on the card backs. Helped understand those detractors when you said you haven't played Orchard. For 2 player, perhaps it's like Orchard, requiring 2 copies? The single squirrel in Grove vs the two 'spoiled fruits' in Orchard could make Grove a bit more restrictive, but then when you throw in the ability to get a bushel and then a wheelbarrow, seems to open up Grove. Like you, I drew the Sprawlopolis comparison right away with those goal cards... that alone may tip me over to backing at the Harvester level! PS, well done on the pun... true Orchard/Grove spirit there!

I cut from the video: Grove has rules for 2 (or more) players, but every player needs their own copy of the game. I was expecting something that was more like Sprawlopolis or Palm Island, which are best solo, but still playable at 2.

@@FamilyGamersAA good stuff, thanks! Yeah, I think I saw comments on the campaign suggesting copies can be combined for multiplayer too, thanks for confirming. I'm somewhat curious about multiplayer, though Orchard is definitely a solo only game for me, as I expect Grove will be. Kind of the opposite of the bane of the solo player, which would be multiplayer with tacked on solo! Personally I'm an omnigamer, so love when games work (or at least would seem to me to work) just as well solo and multiplayer. Best example I can think of in my collection is AuZtralia, though I've not played it multiplayer, but it seems like it's essentially the same game in either mode.

The back actually seems like the front anf the front seems like the back.

I think many small card-placement games are like that. Less of a "front and back" more of a "playable side" and "information/goal side".
