For the normal ending, the crest of heaven is just a plot element. It feels like real 100% would need it to be in the inventory, filling its empty slot!

Y'know, kinda odd that when Firebrand was added to UMvC3, he barely used any power from that game... and he was the titular character with an expanded moveset.

The Dark Demon Boss in this game is a fucking nightmare. I abused the hell out of the rewind function on the SNES store and anyone who has beaten the Dark Demon on an actual SNES has my undying respect.
Sadly it won't get a Remake or release. I played it back then on the SNES at already no one knew this game. Today it's treated as hidden gem. Financially it wouldn't benefit them. I still think you don't need a newer version. This game is perfectly fine and easily has the best atmosphere in combination with soundtrack on the whole SNES for me.
What? No extra boss with password? That's what I was most expecting! But I liked it of course. It will probaly only be bested if it is a no damage run with the extra Dark Demon boss.
speed-runs generally don't go after Dark Lord, it might be for two reasons: 1. it's extremely hard 2. you'd have to sit through like a 9 min long un-skippable credits sequence.

Just need to know the password, whereas if you don't reset theoughout the creditts and do a soft reset after the game gives you the code, it will be already there in the password menu. They do not include the dark demon because a) killing the red dragon (Phalanx) already triggers an ending sequence, b) dark demon does not drop items, and c) it often demands farming gold to get at least one ginseng potion. Hence, it is annoying. The boss rush category does kill the dark demon, if one is interested in speed runners facing it.
Watching this, it suddenly dawned on me that the plot doesn't make sense at all. Firebrand collected all crests, but after the fight with Somulo he was left weak, so Phalanx took the chance and took the crests away from him... So then how the fuck does Arma have 3 of them shits?! Not to mention the other one bosses have (water), plus all the parts of the fire crest.
Incorrect. The 100% speedrun category only collects all items. It is impossible to collect the last crest and not teigger the ending, so the category has to end there. If you want the dark demon, check the boss rush cayegory.
According to the forum thread on the TASvideos.org site, he was working on a separate Dark Demon movie, but that was a year and a half ago. I don't know whether he's still working on it.
i just noticed this game reuses graphics and sounds from super ghouls and ghosts... yeah i know same universe but hey they just copied pasted from one game to the other

Arma is phalanxes general (I think it mentioned in the boss fight where you have all the crests)
