Great video Rick, thanks. I remember the first time - lovely red colour. Well I bit the bullet finally and placed an order for my new car last week. I can’t get a new TFSI petrol SQ5 here in UK - TDI only. I checked out the Meccan GTS, but actually fell in love with the Cayenne. I ordered the Cayenne Platinum with some great options in Midnight Blue - estimated delivery in July.
Rick, on camera that red paint looks awesome after you finished!! The gloss is amazing which makes the paint look “wet”. Love your videos like this… so relaxing!!!

Hey Rick, that is a very known one, the one and only Dave's misuno red RS5 ! I love that car with the grey touches here and there. Very happy to see it back into your detailing dream garage ! That car is very similar to mine except rear wing and front grille since mine is not an RS. I was wondering if it was actually not too tedious washing cars during such harsh winter conditions. I know your garage is heated and you have the dehumidifier, though might be tough during -20°C days ! I do agree with Vermijl Car Detail, whose channel is stunning too by the way, some much needed love for this beautiful RS5 ! Very pleasant moment you shared with us Rick . Thanks for tuning in, Gregg. The only negative issue I find is the humidity that is generated when using the pressure washer. I have the dehumidifier, but it takes a while for it to being the levels down after the foam rinse. On those cold days where I can't just open the garage door to air it out, I usually upload some footage and play around on the computer while the garage gets back to a 50% humidity level.
Just discovered this through my UA-cam feed since I watch a lot of Audi related content. It is very therapeutic after a long day at work today. Keep up the good work RAD
Yeah. I should have done a debrief, but by the time I get to the end of the project and clean up the garage, I’m dead. It held up very well over the past year that coating wax will get it through another year!

That’s how you wash a car great video Rick. Fireball satin tire wax is my go to that stuff sticks around for a long time little grabby applying it but it worth the effort.. beautiful car looks fantastic..👌🏻🇨🇦

I really enjoy GSF too, but this Fireball is really impressing me lately. A perfect combination of thick juicy foam and strong cleaning properties. What more could you want?
That is the ultimate goal. Some people will get caught up in the minutiae of my process, but the final results are what truly matter and this car has never looked better!

The Devil's Blood coating has held up very well given the abuse it takes on a daily basis. The hardened dirt and salt came off very easily during the foam stage. I feel like it the crud didn't have a very strong bond with the paint, which is what the coating is for. So, it's all good and that car is now clean for a day or two! 😬
So satisfying. Daily driver. Amazing really enjoyed the video. No garage and -10. I cannot wait to get out in the driveway. Also love the Rs5 and colour. Just here cooking a few wings in the active fryer and a cold beer. Rob from St John’s NL
@@RADGarage I like Detail Firm, Lift, and Gyeon Restart (this ain’t a dedicated foam but I like it a lot!) I like runny foams, since they seem to clean better. I’ve tried Adams Mega Foam and didn’t like it at all, didn’t seem to have any cleaning power. For heavy soiled vehicles, BH Touch-Less is a life saver. And of course, for rinseless ADG Fuzion, which is a foaming rinseless but can be used as a regular foam as well.

Great video!! I have watched a couple of yours as I get more and more into detailing. Have you tried the Pirouette Spray Coating from Fireball? I am not sure if it is the same as Ultimate Coating wax. Wanted to try one of them with my Fireball Ceramic coating.
Hi John, thanks for spending your time watching my videos. That means a lot. I haven't tried the Fireball spray coating you mentioned, but I bet it is top quality. I will be hosting a Livestream with some guys from Fireball USA here in a month or two. I'm sure we will discuss their recommendations for toppers on coatings.
It keeps the humidity down, it is faster and all the hidden dirt was blasted free during the pressure foam wash so I just use what I call a “soft rinse” to rinse away the soap suds as quickly and efficiently as possible.
That’s one beautiful car. Fireball products are definitely top notch. Since it’s been a year with the coating, wouldn’t the paint need to be Iron-X’d, decontaminated in some way?
I will do a decon wash on this one in the Spring, but there's no point given we are in the full swing of winter here. The paint felt very smooth to the touch, so I don't think there is actually much contamination going on any way.
It can be tricky with the pressure washer. You just got to learn the angles so you don't spray down the walls. You could also use a garden hose like I do after the bucket wash.
Yes, but it is not tied into the sewer system. I have to manually pump it out once in a while, but most of the water than lands in the catch basin evaporates. I just have to rinse out the basin out when it gets some dirt and debris in it.
When I get into the warmer months and can find the time to tackle FULL detailing projects, you will see the length of the videos increase! Glad you are enjoying my work!

I am a big fan of Fireball, but I do enjoy many different product brands. They all have their appeal.
@@RADGarage my favourite are adams polishes and carpro. Some products of tacsystem, stjarnagloss and so on.
I have about 10 brands that I really respect.

Great video!! I have watched a couple of yours as I get more and more into detailing. Have you tried the Pirouette Spray Coating from Fireball? I am not sure if it is the same as Ultimate Coating wax. Wanted to try one of them with my Fireball Ceramic coating.

I will be hosting a Livestream with some guys from Fireball USA here in a month or two. I'm sure we will discuss their recommendations for toppers on coatings.

I was wondering, is there a benefit to doing a soft rinse at the end rather than a pressure rinse?
It keeps the humidity down, it is faster and all the hidden dirt was blasted free during the pressure foam wash so I just use what I call a “soft rinse” to rinse away the soap suds as quickly and efficiently as possible.

That’s one beautiful car. Fireball products are definitely top notch. Since it’s been a year with the coating, wouldn’t the paint need to be Iron-X’d, decontaminated in some way?
I will do a decon wash on this one in the Spring, but there's no point given we are in the full swing of winter here. The paint felt very smooth to the touch, so I don't think there is actually much contamination going on any way.

My “detailing theatre” is approximately 24 x 24. It’s a perfect size for me.

It can be tricky with the pressure washer. You just got to learn the angles so you don't spray down the walls. You could also use a garden hose like I do after the bucket wash.

Yes, but it is not tied into the sewer system. I have to manually pump it out once in a while, but most of the water than lands in the catch basin evaporates. I just have to rinse out the basin out when it gets some dirt and debris in it.
