That thing is one of the all time best daily drivers ever made. My dream daily driver! And that incredible blue paint with the red calipers is exactly the spec I would want. Absolutely beautiful.
@@RADGarage Absolutely. I live in Colorado so I know exactly what you mean Rick. Colorado actually starts to come alive in the winter time. We have all sorts of winter activities here and a lot of the ski towns (Aspen, Vail, etc.) draw in a huge number of people during the winter. Currently though we are in a major snow storm so i've been locked in the darned house for the past two days and it's going to hang around for two more days. This snow has been body slamming us over the past couple days. It's just round after round of snow, back to back. The roads are horrible and everything is closing early or is closed. That Audi RS6 would be the perfect solution here! Alas though, the only shooting brake I can afford is my wife's new Subaru Outback Touring XT. It's nice, but it sure ain't no Audi RS6!
I don’t know if I would have the heart to subject such a rockstar car to our winters. The owner has all my respect! I should get a 1994 Ford F-250 for the winter!
The branding is so fun! I get a kick out of the humour in the names. I also appreciate brands with more sophisticated looks. I’m the end, I love having lots of options and having a wide variety of products makes the process more fun and engaging for me. The foam shots are by far my favourite. I think I have carved out an artistic niche in the saturated detailing video world and I like to think my style of videos is unique.
Welcome back Rick. Missed u buddy. Hope u and the family had a great break. What a machine. The colour is awesome. Great job as always. Music and videography rock. Stay RAD
Nice to see you back, Rick. I am not a big wagon fan, but this one just blows me away! What a gorgeous car and color. Your videos are top notch, Rick. The time and effort you put into them is very obvious. Your videos are always a go-to for me!
I have a car done with MOHS from Gyeon. I personally after a year should strip the contaminents with Bilt Hamber touchless foam with cannon, Wash is with wool mitt adding a little touchless to the bucket, then foam with a little acid foam (carpro eraser) + handwash again with mitt, drying plus putting gyeon ceramic detailer over it. This has the same chemicals as the MOHS so it would revive the ceramic coating added last year. This car seems well maintained so should also give a great result. Great job though!
I went into this project planning on performing a routine wash and now that I have seen the way the coating is performing, I will definitely have this car back for something along the lines of what you have described. I am feeling good that a process like that will definitely rejuvenate the coating. You just can't know these things until you go through the motions. But, like I said, this car will be back at some point and I will be more comprehensive.
The production value of your videos is always top notch. Winter here in Manitoba was mild compared to previous years but now it is constant rain. Hope the fires are not too bad for you guys this year and continue the great videos.
Thanks so much. I do my very best to produce vids that celebrate the zen of the process. Fires seem to be ok at the moment. I’m sure they’ll start kicking up as summer heats up. I hope I’m wrong.
Hi Rick this wagon It's beautiful and now with the summer wheels it's even more beautiful. As for the quality of your work, music, videography, I can only say. It's as always fantastic 1000%top abraço desde Portugal 🇵🇹👍
Thanks so much Henrique. It had been a while since I created a video such as this and it was very fun and rewarding. I'm glad you enjoyed watching it. More to come in the next few months!
I enjoyed the video. Always do! Just a comment, I am envious of your garage, your working space. It’s not too big and everything is within easy reach. Thanks for sharing, Rick! The Audi looks fantastic, amazing results as usual, both in front of and behind the camera. Glad to see another Rad Garage Production, I was starting to go into RAD withdrawal. 🙂 I know that these videos take a huge amount of time, but myself and other viewers really appreciate the time and effort you put into your passion. It looks like the MOHS coating is holding up fairly well on the Audi, how long do the Gyeon coatings typically last, in your experience? Thanks again for sharing, and look forward to more great RAD Garage videos!
Hey Clint. Thanks for the supportive comment. My videos don't get millions of views, but I don't mind that because those that do take time to view them usually leave such positive comments. I thank you for this. The MOHS stood up well to its first winter. I will tackle this car again in the Fall, and I will give it a more thorough decon wash to really free up the MOHS, but it really is a good option for those looking for a coating with durability. It will last up to 3 years on most cars here. I going to be applying their Infinite coating on a Porsche 911 this summer. That coating is supposed to be next level!
@@RADGarage Another reason I always enjoy your videos is you always take the time to respond to every comment. Again, thank you. I look forward to the 911 video, the 911 is my dream car! Thanks again, and have a great day!
Hi Rick 🖐 Thanks for the great entertaining video! I am impressed how well the Gyeon Mose has held up to its first Canadian winter, the hydrophobics are very impressive. Patiently waiting for summer to come for more Rad videos!! Cheers!!.. 😎

Просто нет слов, какой красивый цвет у этой Audi Rs. Рик, вы давно не выпускаете данные ролики, уверен впереди нас ждут как всегда бешеные Детейлинг Мойки от Вас.
Another great video Rick, and sure enjoy your content and honesty. I'm a garage detailer in Saskatchewanfor the winter months, but how do you control the humidity in your garage for coatings in the winter with washing cars in your garage, and then coating them after? Keep up the great work!
Humidity is a bit tricky. Most times, just opening the garage door and letting nature find equilibrium is all that is required. I also run a dehumidifier (Pan the Organizer suggestion) so I’m rarely over 35-40% humidity which seems to work well.
Rick, is that medium Gyeon wheel brush able to squeeze between the front rotor and wheel? A couple of brushes that I have tried on my RS6 tend to get stuck there. Great content with a great vehicle!
Yes, it was the most effective of my long-handled brushes. I had to jam it in there real good but the brush is squeezable. I think you’ll find it effective but it’s not the greatest brush in the world.
Great wash - I am curious on the garage.... more so do you get "foam" splash on the walls? or over spray. Its neat really... got me wanting to wash my car in the garage as well but worried of all the splash off the car
Thanks for the comment and question. I have it down to a science for the most part, but I do get a bit of overspray at times. Mostly when I do the front and rear of a car since the foam and water bounce back and hit the wall and/or garage door. There’s nothing in those areas that is sensitive to moisture though. I am careful with my angles and the wide fan patterns I use help keep things from going everywhere. I hope that makes sense.
For the abuse it took this winter, I think the MOHS held up well. I would need to see the cars more regularly to give an objective opinion of performance. In the Fall, I’ll give this RS6 a more decon-heavy wash and I bet we see it bounce back even stronger.
18:18 absolutely love that blue on that RS6! Looks like MOHS has left the lower panels a while ago. Under Winnipeg Manitoba conditions I got roughly 7 months even after 2 layers and Bi weekly maintenance. Fantastic user experience as it’s been on 4 of my cars. May be time to look elsewhere for durability and preservation the hard work.
I love the colour too. I’m not convinced the sides are gone. I am going to convince owner to let me have a more thorough crack at it. I want to use some WSR and/or Iron Decon on it. I think there’s still potential there. Look for that in the Fall.
@@RADGarage You are right Rick, it won't be gone, it's merely clogged after the winter. The Labocosmetica 3 PH wash system is brilliant for reviving clogged coatings, as is ADBL Tangy. You may also have some joy with Koch Chemie FSE. Actually quite a few good acidic shampoos out there now which will do a good job, following a good alkaline prewash 👍
Now that I have seen how the coating reacted to the wash, I will be sure to have the car back later on in the summer to conduct a more comprehensive (and costly) treatment to see if I can awaken the properties of the coating in the places where it looks clogged. Live and learn.
@Yorkiepoocharlie You can improve things a little with iron fallout remover and tar remover, no doubt, but the real likelihood is that following a harsh winter, the lower sections will be clogged with minerals, which require a good acidic shampoo to shift, or possibly a good water spot remover, would you agree?
@@Ally.MacMillan I am inclined to disagree merely from what I have observed. Let me explain: 1. Prep, Full decon clay, wash upon delivery of vehicle ( paint was in good shape unlike another delivery I took 4 years ago ) so, I had a decent handle on the stages to get that last little bit of glow before a coating was installed. Waited 1 hour before applying a second layer, according to Gyeon 1+1=2. So essential 4 years of protection. 2. Wash maintenance, bi-weekly with nothing but Gyeon bathe+ and decon 1x monthly. I did use BH pre wash on those really dirty cleans, possibly 3 in total since last June 2023. Gyeon tar also was crucial as our road fixes are constant. Note-I live by tons of railways and our streets are hammered with sand/salt. My car would bleed the next day even after a good wash-jokingly 3. By only December 2023 the characteristics changed from beading to sheeting, sure we can mask with “our choice toppers” but after some warmer weather I did noticed after a good decon wash the Lowers were completely flat. No chance. Gone. And this happens with my vehicles every year, keep in mind they are driven 20,000-30,000km a year. Tends to be the norm on mohs evo coatings on my daily’s. I love the product as I’m getting ready for another round! Haha always learning! Would love to see more opinions on durability and maintenance!
I missed you Rick! Are you finally getting spring weather there? The Blue Audi came out georgeous! Pretty cool, i've never seen the Audi symbols in black before? Nice!!!
Today was a terribly cold Spring day, but the weather is supposed to clear up next week. The thing is, you can never rely on the weather here. We are at an elevation of 1,048 meters (3,438 feet) and we are located closely to the Rocky Mountains so the weather patterns are volatile to say the least. I do what I can. The particular RS6 has the "Black Optics" package so all brightwork is blacked out from the factory. Very menacing. I wish I was rich.
@@RADGarage I also wish i was rich, but i am Thankful of what i have! In my 57 years i never take things for granted. I just love the black optics on the Audi, i have never seen it before. It does make the vehicle menacing for sure! Weather/climate here is odd too.I hope you get some consistant nice weather?
@@RADGarage Yep, that sounds like what happens sometimes here in N.H. but it doesn't happen all the time! Just blink your eyes and the weather has changed!
She is very understanding when I am in the garage for two straight days. I agree that quality takes time and I am becoming more and more picky about my shots which makes it an even longer process.
All coatings look like that after a winter. I should have scheduled this project for something a bit more aggressive, but I thought we would just perform a routine wash and see where things are at. Now that I have seen the coating performance, I think a more comprehensive decon wash will be the next step.
@@MiataPower96 High pH pre-wash, low pH bucket wash and some Water Spot Remover for good measure. That should flush out the micro-contaminants that are clogging up the coating in places.
@@RADGarage Ok thanks. Looking forward to that video if you decide to create it. Which water spot remover do you suggest? Also, you wouldn’t use an iron remover in addition? Would you ever recommend a very light clay towel/mitt over a coating? Sorry a lot of questions lol
I love questions. But, I don't always have the expert answers. I would consider using an iron remover and towel like the system offered by DIY Detail. I would avoid using a clay bar though. I like the WSR from DIY Detail and I have a gallon-jug of it. I recently went to town on my SQ5 in an effort to awaken the Dr. Beasley's coating on it. Did you happen to see that video? It was posted back in Feb.
Hi, just subbed to this amazing channel today. I’m going to start rinseless washing my 2 cars in a week or so as I don’t have access to water since I live in an apartment. Which brand you think is best DIY or ARMOUR or should I mix the brands? I will be using your affiliate links of course. TIA
I’m always stoked to gain a new viewer. Glad you liked the video. As for Rinseless, you’re good with either of those. Never considered mixing, but you could be on to something.
Thank you, greatly appreciated. Forgot to ask for a drying towel TRC Guantlet/Liquid8r or the Popo? Popo is about 25% cheaper but is it as good or better than TRC 🤷🏻♂️
@@YZERPLAN I have a couple of Detail POPO Twisted Rain towels and they offer amazing bang for the buck. Highly recommend. Keep in mind, I’m not a reviewer. I just use what I like.
Main part is slate with a pearl border. In retrospect, I wish I would have done it the other way around. I think it would brighten the place up nicely if I used Pearl as the predominant colour.

For the abuse it took this winter, I think the MOHS held up well. I would need to see the cars more regularly to give an objective opinion of performance. In the Fall, I’ll give this RS6 a more decon-heavy wash and I bet we see it bounce back even stronger.
BEEN WAITING LETS GOO!!
I love it!
Let me explain:
My car would bleed the next day even after a good wash-jokingly
We experienced three different seasons on the drive home from work. Summer, Spring and hail!
@@RADGarage Yep, that sounds like what happens sometimes here in N.H. but it doesn't happen all the time! Just blink your eyes and the weather has changed!
I'm here to see the reverse foam footage.
You’ve come to the right place!
First!!!! Welcome back Rick!!! 😊
So glad to be back in the business of making videos. Let's hope my friends keep bringing me cool cars like this one.
No need to apologise to anyone about what you spend your own time on, except maybe your wife! Quality always takes time.
She is very understanding when I am in the garage for two straight days. I agree that quality takes time and I am becoming more and more picky about my shots which makes it an even longer process.
Sweet video and RS6! I always love the music choices 👌
What are your thoughts on Gyeon Mohs? It looked a bit dead on the sides of the car 🤔
All coatings look like that after a winter. I should have scheduled this project for something a bit more aggressive, but I thought we would just perform a routine wash and see where things are at. Now that I have seen the coating performance, I think a more comprehensive decon wash will be the next step.
@@RADGarage gotcha. What would the decon wash consist of?
Thank you, if you had to choose one which would it be? Thanks for the very quick reply, greatly appreciated. Cheers ✌🏻
@@YZERPLAN DIY.
Is your swisstrax mainly slate grey or pearl grey ?
Main part is slate with a pearl border. In retrospect, I wish I would have done it the other way around. I think it would brighten the place up nicely if I used Pearl as the predominant colour.
@@RADGarage thanks. Just debating on what color scheme to go with
Enjoy the best part of the process!

👀 Shiny 😎 Did they change their label?
Genius has not changed their labels since I have known about them. Is there another Genius brand out there perhaps?
