@@Renagade01 I was wondering what games he's into. He did say he's into gaming. And if he is, perhaps some of those games have review-worthy cinematics too. And he might be more familiar with their lore, if there is any. Wouldn't mind seeing something different :)
lore shit ignore if dont care: So the Samurai center of the video (Yasuo) is Yone's younger brother, he was always reckless and impulsive while his older brother was more responsable, but he was also more talented than yone. The flashback he says "you got nothing to prove" it´s because Yone was already accepted in the temple that teachs the way of the blade and he didnt yet. The place where everything is happening is called "Ionia", its a kind of "asian inspired" place in the Leagues world, and being so there is a lot of ninjas, yokais, samurais, spirits, etc... There is one day each year in ionia where the spirit realm and the mortal realm get really close, close enough for the living to speak with the dead through flowers, this day is like an event called "spirit blossom", people go to certain places in ionia to gather this special flowers that can have the spirit of a loved one inside (when they blossom you can talk to them). Yone was killed by yasuo during an invasion where yasuo's duty was to protect the master of the temple while the other warriors fought the invaders (noxians), but yasuo thought that he should be in the fight, so he left the master and killed a bunch of noxians in some villages. When he got back the master was dead, everyone put the blame on him and he ran away to not get killed. Yone was after him and when he found him they fought and, as the cinematic shows, yasuo killed him. In the spirit realm there are spirits (duh) and Demons called "Azakana", the azakanas feed on negative emotions, they are like parasites (that old man was an azakana feeding of yasuo's guilt), when Yone died he didnt follow the right path and he ended up a place where one azakana appeared and tried to kill him or somthing, he managed to kill the azakan but in it's last attempt to live it leachs out into yone's body (the mask red mask is the face of that azakana). Because of this, yone cant rest his soul and is trapped between the realms, (but not even him knows how he could be amongst the living as he is, so he is basically hunting more azakanas to try to discover)
The other reason why people were hunting down Yasuo because they figured out the master was killed by a wind technique. People in Ionia only know the master and Yasuo use that wind technique, but riven(Noxian) killed the master with her own wind technique in accident. That’s why Yasuo says he’s not a murderer.
Yassuo didn't run because he didn't want to die. He would accept his sentence if he was only accused of living his place, and be the reason of the death of his master. The problem was that he was accused of being the murderer, if he accepted his execution the REAL murderer wold never be founded. So he decided to run to find the real murderer (what did not work, sense his master kill himself trying to help Riven)
Remember the cinematic that you reacted called AWAKEN? So Yasuo was in there right? Based on the lore/story, he was not supposed to be there. Even in this cinematic his brother warned him to stay. Yasuo was supposed to be protecting Elder Souma, an elder who teaches him wind techniques (that's why Yasuo can make tornadoes). But Yasuo insist on fighting to defend Ionia (the "country" where the war takes place). This leads to the death of Elder Souma because a certain girl accidently killed him. Wanna know who? On the same AWAKEN cinematic, remember the girl who was fighting multiple man with a sword in an arena, her name is Riven, she was the one who killed Elder Souma, but not on purpose. However, Yasuo was accused of killing him because there was no witness and everybody expected him to be with Elder Souma so of course they thought he was the killer. Which is why Yasuo become a wanted man on Ionia. He had to kill his friends because it was "killed or be killed". In the end he faced his own brother as you can see in this cinematic. Ultimately he killed Yone, his own brother. There was another cinematic that "somewhat" show how his brother got revived back but anyway, his brother got back and then this cinematic happen. End of story
well, Riven didnt kill Elder Souma, she seeked Elder Souma's help to destroy her runic blade, because she doesn't want to kill anymore. But the energy that was released when the blade is destroyed by Elder Souma is what killed him
my favorite thing about watching your reactions is how you dont cut anything in the recording (for the most part) so we get your real reaction and your true feelings to whats going on and you dont just have a script ready to read in the back or anything or you dont watch it a head of time to know whats going to happen to have reactions ready or anything like that. keep up the good work!
Very small detail, but something I love. When Yasuo looks at his reflection for the first time, you can see the sword is stained and dirty, just like Yasuo's self image. When he goes into the river, he doesn't only cleanse himself, you can actually see the dirt coming of off his blade as well (the dark stuff at 30.09). At the end when Yasuo is on the boat, you can see him looking at his reflection again, this team with a clean sword and a clean self image
That older guy is demon azakana that feeds off human emotions he fed from yassuos emotions but yasuo protected him because he did not know he is a demon. Edit: go watch necrit for more lore explanation.
When you look carefuly when yasuo looks behind him he seed a burning red demon attacking old guy that was helping him. He doesnt see thorns behind etc...
Too add on, in TB Skyen's vid, he says fighting the demon would like be like Yasuo fighting against himself/ his negative emotions/ guilt, something that Yasuo doesnt want to face. Until he eventually decides to face his demon saying that he wont run away anymore
I love the timing when he's trying to remember Yasuo's name and said "Starts with the Y" at the same time the Old man said "Why else would the great Yasuo come"
I like how, when they were kids, they have an argument in land that was lively and bright. When they were young adults, at 32:40, it's evening and they're in a building, sparring/practice fighting. Finally, when they're men, they fight full-out in the dead land that was once beautiful, as well as in the night. Not only shows the passage of time, but shows that, perhaps, they were destined to fight all along.
When I see Chris reacting to League Cinematics I slap a like automatically. You should watch "The Path, an Ionian Myth" to get the story between when Yasuo defeated Yone till when he re-awakened from the Spirit Realm. (Even though that reflects the legend of the Older and Younger Brother and not Yasuo and Yone directly, basically the same story).
Since you seem to enjoy it, here's some Lore for you, Chris (and anyone else interested )! I'll keep it short because I could gush on about this for pages- literally! The main characters featured in this cinematic where Yasuo, Yone and the Azakana Kuro'Sagol. Azakana are lesser demons that feed on negative emotions. After they've fed enough, they're able to become real demons. When Yasuo and Yone were children, the two were inseparable, and when Yone joined the village's famed sword school, Yasuo followed him and refused to leave until they let him join as well. He was taken on as the pupil of Elder Soma, the school's sole master of their legendary wind technique. Years later, when Noxus invaded Ionia, Yone and other members of the school left to aid in the war. Yasuo wished to join them but was ordered to stay behind and protect the elders. When a Noxian warhost made it's way to a neighboring village, Yasuo left his post to defeat them. When he returned, he found Elder Soma dead. He was slain by a wind technique. The village blamed Yasuo for this, most believing he had killed the elder himself. He left the village to clear his name and the village sent it's best swordsmen to "bring him to justice". Yasuo kept fleeing, cutting them down until he eventually found his brother at the end of his blade. He killed him, and in doing so spiraled into a pit of despair and depression. Filled with rage and regret, Yone was attacked by an Azakana soon after arrival in the spirit planes. This Azakana had been following him for quite some time, feeding on the negative emotions he experienced has he tracked Yasuo. Yone believed Yasuo's actions were a result of him straying off the proper path, a path he failed to properly lead him on as his older brother. The Azakana intended to devour him before he could find peace and reach the resting place of souls, but Yone defeated it. When he woke up, he found himself in the physical world with the Azakana's face as a mask affixed to his face. In time, Yone found if could learn the name of Azakana, he could seal them in masks (we saw him wearing them on his belt). So he set about hunting Azakana, hoping to eventually learn the name of his own. Yasuo on the other hand completely fell off the Wagon after killing Yone, hunted by it every waken moment. Which he solved by drinking and generally not being awake very often. To make a long arch short, Yasuo eventually recovered after mentoring a pupil of his own (and earth user, funnily enough), and in doing do learnt to respect his fallen mentor. When she left, he set about finding the true killer once again. His search eventually lead him back to his village. There, he had hoped to find revenge, but there he found Riven, living in secret on a farm with an old man and his wife. When master Soma had attempted to repair Riven's broken wind blade, it exploded, killing him the processes. Riven had felt intense remorse over this and lived in secret with the guilt every day. The village saw this and was able to forgive her. Despite clearing his name, Yasuo was unable to find his revenge. In the end, his brother had died by his hands for nothing. Yasuo eventually wandered to the Spirit blossom festival, a sacred event where the living are able to communicate with the dead, and that's more or less where the story begins. I omitted so many details to keep this concise and readable! Yasuo's sad relationship with the village, how he and Yone's relationship eventually become strained despite their love for each other, Taliya, the student he mentored, Riven's past and how she eventually found her way the village, Yone's refusal to face his past after waking up in the physical realm- there's so much to dig into!
@@drhapi5308 its not yone, but what haappened is the same thaat happened to yone. you can relate the cinamaatic to yone even if its not him, watch necrits response to the video to get the point more clear. since its quiet confusing
according to necrit, the path is just a similar story to yone's, its not yone himself. its the legend of the 2 brothers' story or how it is imagined if someone tells the story.
34:10 he choose to protect the monster because on his POV he didn’t know that the elder was transforming in a monster (Azakana), he saw a ghost attacking the elder, that’s why.
I don't think its that simple. They didn't show him looking at the demon when he turned around against it. And also, him not knowing due to POV kinda makes him look dumb. I think the Azakana embodies guilt and is controlling Yasuo in some way, until Yasuo sees Yone and realises that his brother isn't dead. This took away all his guilt and he was freed from the demon.
TobiNano Azakana doesn’t embody negative feelings he feeds off of them and if Yasuo clearly couldn’t see the old man and just Yone in his ghost ability he wouldn’t look dumb and he didn’t have much time to assess the situation so it just makes more sense that he didn’t know the old man was a demon
@@samuraiburrito2279 The animation is made by a Chinese company. The director of the animation is also a Chinese. The old man was actually yasuo's inner demon. I don't know how to express it in English. The old man was actually the product of an evil thought in Yasso's heart. Yasso was very proud and proud as a child but could not keep the elders safe. His heart was so full of remorse that he had been running away from it. Eventually yasuo faced his demons. That's why yasuo said I wouldn't run again. Yone is actually an emissary who hunts the demons in the human heart.
I think he hired yasuo as a bodyguard since in Ahri's lore she mentioned that she hired a bodyguard to protect her to start her journey to find the whereabout of her parents and her origin, but they didn't say who it is, so i think yasuo is the bodyguard she was talking about and since yas is free from his past, he joined ahri to find his purpose or what do he do now since he was free from his past
34:00 Yasuo's protecting the "demon" because he doesn't "look" like a Demon to Yasuo. Humans can't see Demons, they see glamour/what the Demon wants the person they're attaching themselves to, to see. After Yasuo consumes the drink that binds the two realms (the physical world & the spirit world), the cinematic is showing us Yone's perspective of the fight thereafter -- (this is Yone's champion reveal teaser cinematic, not Yasuo's). Yasuo probably just sees an old man giving him a hallucinogenic concoction that made him dizzy. He's never done it before, so he's probably hesitant to assume anything is wrong -- he is after all, only doing it to SPEAK TO THE DEAD (not normal lol). Yone can SEE Demons because of the one infused in the mask stuck on his face; It is only after Yone & the Demon converse, & Yone says the familiar to Yasuo line, "Better than to live without it." does Yasuo realize the specter (Yone) means no harm for no reason at all -- He trusts his brother, he doesn't have ill feelings towards his brother & he didn't MEAN to kill him (Yasuo's lore), he killed Yone (& everyone else chasing after him thinking HE killed their master), in self-defense, so he trusts that the entity Yone is attacking (the Demon) is actually the problem. & then, of course, the Demon starts speaking about events he wouldn't of have known about unless he was there, probably signaling to Yasuo that the old man isn't who he appears to be
There is more to the sword reflection than what you said. The sword is bloodstained the first time he looks at himself showing us an unclear image of him. Then he washed the blood in the river and at the very end when we see him in the boat he looks at his reflection again but it is crystal clear this time. This was used to show the progression of his character throughout the cinematic. Having doubts about himself and many regrets about his past at the beginning but by the end all of that has been cleared. That was really awesome
My third comment, but I'm really passionate okay! A couple of things I think you missed: the fade to black was, imo, actually pretty clever! It's not just a typical fade to black (Which, nothing wrong with that, especially if it's done properly like you said), but they fade on the sound and action of Yasuo sheeting his sword. Since we were viewing the world through his reflection in his blade, him sheeting his sword and plunging that wold into darkness is a really neat way to fade to black I think. Another thing: We could see when he woke up that Yasuo's sword was covered in blood. And the reflection we saw of him was stained by it. Now, obviously, since it's likely been years since Yone died, this is not his blood (It's not difficult for Yasuo to get blood on his blade though, "Death is like the wind. Always by my side"- a quote from him in-game), but combined with the next scene and him waking up with their final battle on his mind, it's clearly symbolic. And when he's in the river we'le, we can see the blood washing away from his blade. As to why Yasuo defends the azakana, he likely- at that point, could not tell it was a demon. It's not easy for humans to recognize demons. Yone, having died and being able to access the spirit realm has no problem seeing them though. And one final cool thing: When Yasuo's on the ship and talking to Yasuo, he looks at his blade and clearly sees his reflection in his clean blade. Love the symbolism!
Alright so for the many different questions concerning the lore behind the cinematic. There is a channel that specializes into that and it is named "Necrit". I recommend his video called "Yone & Yasuo Cinematic Explained".
Technically it is not Yone, it's how people imagine the story about the two elder brothers when telling about it, but you could interpret it that way since his is very similar.
The girl on the boat is named Ahri. She is a person from a race named Vastaya (human with fox ears and nine tail, there is a lot of different variants of vastaya like: bird people, mermaids etc.) She killed alot of humans to get more magic and after realising how horrible was the things that she done the guilt was killing her so she decided to go to the forest of forgetting to forget all the things that happened but it didn't work.
She has a new backstory now, she is still vastayah and she still feels guilt for killling people but her purpose is no longer to lose her powers and become human. She is now on a journey to find more information about her past and to locate her tribe.
I definitely want more reactions on league of legends cinematic from this guy. Genuine reactions and can totally appreciate how well done the animations are. Keep it up mate
That girl at the end was Ahri. In the Spirit Blossoms storyline, she's a guide for wandering souls to the afterlife. I believe Yone (that spirit guy with the red mask) is a wayward soul hunting demons, and Ahri is looking for him, but I could be wrong on that.
The "bringing your blade next to eye level" is a defensive stance that enables you to defend high and present the point of the blade to the opponent (threaten to stab, basically). That's the idea. Similar to when you hold the blade in the same spot vertically, which is a bit better for defending the whole body and can switch to a strike very quickly.
Yasuo kills Yone, even though Yone was an honorable fighter who trained every day to wield the blade Yasuo has. Yasuo, even though he goofed around and was hot headed was naturally great with the sword and bested his brother and earned the right to use his 'ability' to use the wind. Yasuo was accused of killing their master which obviously makes him a target but Yasuo goes to find the killer but his brother gave chase and ultimately was killed by Yasuo. Watch "The Path" to see what happened to Yone, it's a great little cinematic as well. But Yasuo eventually succumbs to his guilt and becomes an alcoholic and a bum as seen when he wakes up in this.
I wish these came out more often than once a week! I'd love to see you react to "The Path- an Ionian Legend"! Your reacts are so sincere, it's really endearing!
The girl at the end was Ahri. Unfortunately we hav no clue as too why those two are going to Bilgewater. Also if u want to know all the lore and stuff watch all of Necrit's videos on it. Necrit is basically the League lore guy
Since you enjoyed Annie: Origins so much, i'd recommend Warbringers: Jaina, Warbringers: Azshara and Warbringers: Sylvanas. All of them are like animated story books, fairly short and it's the closest you'll get to Sylvanas' backstory without playing the game or reading the novels.
Love your channel man! The league reacts are amazing. I know others have mentioned it but Amumu’s Curse of the Sad Mummy is what got me into their cinematics. Keep up the good work!
A small explanation of what is happening in the cinematic. Yone (big bro) & Yasuo ( young bro) had a fight. While the older brother was send to face invaders the younger was send to protect their sensei. He left though and his sensei was found dead. Everybody thought he killed him and was hunted, leading to the first scene. The whole thing is a dream and Yasuo wakes. He is late for the spirit blossom festival where supposedly the living can speak to the dead but an old monk gives him an alternative. The monk is an asakana baby demons of some sort that if it feeds in negative emotions it grows to eventually become a fully fledged demon as Fiddlesticks.
One of my favorite parts of this and I'm a bit disappointed he didn't mention it. When the shockwave happens in the first part the rain stops for a moment.
The shockwaves we see in the fight aren't just for show, and more than shockwaves they're actually the visual representation of yasuo's ability, which is to control wind, as we can see when he throws tornados and stuff. It's also why his brother tells him "even the wind has a path"
24:53 But the shot they used was from inside the dark pupil of the eye, as him waking up from a nightmare. So black to present time, him opening his eyes. i think this way is much more impactful, because replication the same shot transition wouldn't show it the same way. Also on that note, the 2 difference animation styles are a clear way of showing past and present, which is cool.
Just yesterday found you out reacting to some League shorts and I thought, holy shit just wait until he gets to see the new one. 40min long video is pretty much what I expected :P
At the start when he gazes at his reflection on the blade, the blade is bloodstained and he can't see his reflection properly, but in the last part when he does it again, the blade is clean, and he can see himself more clearly.
Rewatching this animation in the form of this video now, I was also confused about why Yasuo would protect the bad guy, but as I rewatched it, the only answer I could ever come up with was that it was probably Yasuo under the influence of whatever it was he drank. Because whenever Yasuo would become weak, the monster grows in size and power, which leads me to thinking that the monster had slight influence over Yasuo's psyche and fed on his energy, but I'm sure, just me trying to find an explanation for that.
Mmm you forgot to mention that when Yasuo does that power "oomph" thing in the beginning, because he has wind-powers, he pushes the rain away with the explosion, and then a bit after Yone lands on the ground the rain comes back
I enjoy to way much your reactions, you love cinematic and history as we legue players do! You get pretty well the essense of everything and how to admire the animation's little details
12:48 that’s Ahri, a spirit fox. She doesn’t remember her past and where she came from, that’s what she’s looking for. She’s also from the land of Ionia, so this is sort of picking up her story from the last time we heard of her in the timeline
Great vid as always! Would love to see you cover the mists of pandaria & draenor cinematics from wow next~~ Other than that really happy i found your channel recently, BOMB videos!!!
I can see that even a film maker with a lot of experience don't know much about animations....well here in this cinematic we have 2 different styles of animation, the flash back story it's a classical style anime drawing layer by layer (layout) but with an amazing shading and tone colors (trust me keeping shading and colors between frames on draw pic by pic animation, is really hard work), and on the present time animation, it's a 3D in 2D animation style made in animation software....you still have to draw a lot (for example the front character, then sides 90*, side 45* , up 45*, down 45* and back side) and then you have to put them together to make a character in that software, after that you will do the same thing as you do in a 3D software animation and modeling (adding bones, etc) and you can do the movements, then adding face expressions shadings and lights ( in a 3D-2D animation it's like a mix between old stuff 2D and new 3D, you must have drawing skills for the 2D drawings angles of the character and 3D programmer skills to put the drawing angles together and to make the movements, the shading, etc)
There is a prequel video, showing how Yone's spirit claimed this form and leaving the spirit realm. "The Path, An Ionian Myth | Spirit Blossom 2020 Animated Trailer - League of Legends"
React to "the path" it'll explain why he has the red sword . The girl is called Ahri, the nine tailed fox. She's searching for her past because she cant remember anything lol The guy is called yasuo and he didnt use dual swords at the beginning. He just picked up a sword from the ground which broke
The female at the end with the white robes is Ahri the nine tailed fox. I also feel like you were confused about the story. Yone (the older brother duel sword) and Yasuo (wind boi) were two brothers who went to the same school of swordsman (not the name). Yasuo is the younger brother and he’s the only one in the school who could use the wind technique, this caught Soumas attention and offered him to be his student and Yasuo accepted with the help of Yones persuasion. Further down in the years, Noxians invaded Ionia causing war and an imbalance in the Lands. Yasuo was ordered to stay by his teachers side but he left to help another near by village from the Noxians while he was away, a female Noxian wanted her sword to be broken this person was Riven. He broke the sword using his wind technique but in doing so the shards of the sword flew around due to the wind and killed him. Once Yasuo returned he learned that his teacher was killed by the wind technique, this caused everyone in the school even his older brother accusing Yasuo of murdering his teacher. Yasuo ran from the school and as time passed, he has encountered the students and was forced to kill them. He eventually came across his older brother Yone. Yone and Yasuo has an epic battle like the beginning of this cinematic and his wind killed his brother. Yasuo was in the village Weh’le where the spirit blossom festival takes place, this is where people can communicate with the dead. What Yasuo held was an illusion of a spirit blossom. The old man or lesser not yet a demon leaches in to Yasuos emotions making him look like an actual demon but was then cut down by both Yasuo and Yone (with an Azakana mask permanently attached to his face and brought back to life). The Azakana is a lesser but not yet a demon, for it to become a demon it would need to latch on to a host in this case it looks like the Azakana latched on to first Yone and then Yasuo this is how the Azakana grow and later become demons. Yone the older brother was brought back to life but with the Azakana mask permanently attached to his face. With each Azakana Yone seals like he did with the old man he learns more about them and then maybe one he’ll get to seal the Azakana he has on his face. Yone also has some of the Azakanas power making him thrust his spirit self to an Azakana then making a quick back. Aside from that I love your videos and your reactions to League of Legends cinematic. I also recommend captions with cinematic so you could understand what they’re saying.
There's a short cinematic before this showing how Yone became this weird character with mask. As for Ahri, the girl in the end - she is the nine failed fox and something like guardian spirit of Ionia (not sure). She's the one that originally guided Yone's spirit somewhere, but he turned around and faced his demons and became this weird thing instead. The Yasuo's backstory was that he was framed of murdering his own temple (where they trained him and his brother), and in the end they sent Yone who didn't trust him after him, so Yasuo killed him. Hope that explains some things. Personally, I feel like Ahri trolled Yone to become another guardian spirit of Ionia so she can run away with Yasuo in the end lol
uhhhh a few things, one he wasn't framed, there was a whole accident with another character called Riven so thats how the master died, another thing in that short story, it was about a LEGEND. And while Ahri represented the Fox during the scene, Ahri is not directly the fox.
the girl at the ends name is Ahri there quite a bit you need to know to understand her part in this cinematic cause it's a continuation of Yasuo's lore plus it's an event which introduced yasuo's brother Yone as a character in the game
Yasuo protected the monster because he’s just really a good hearted man at the same time he’s confused. Also him and his brother are under the same master so they have the same lessons on wind techniques. Watch the spirit blossom animated trailer where Yone was transformed into that form. Also interesting fact, Yone was initially just a side character from Yasuo lore as the brother he killed. Developing him into an equal character to Yasuo and bringing him back from the dead is actually super dope.
I know Destiny is not known for its Cinematics but I truly think that the "Taken King" intro cinematic and the "Last Stand of the Gunslinger" are amazing cinematic. I would love to see you react to them.
I like you. You know what UA-camrs who place their professions in the titles of their reaction videos should really do. No half-as*ing it, going all in on what they do and why they have the right to do these videos. This is what you do for a living. Of course you have to flex your knowledge. I appreciate you, man. I know these probably take a long time to make, so thank you for doing these. I hope you don't get tired.

Next should be "Overwatch: Hour Zero". I think it is worth it to just take a look. (It is cinematic for Overwatch 2).
Warwick and Fiddlesticks cinematics from League of Legends are both horror themed ones if you want to go on that territory.
Zero Hour from Overwatch or you can leave it last for the Overwatch Series...

So basically Yone is like Ichigo from Bleach, a Shinigami hunting Hollows
Noice

I thought "Awaken" was a second invasion, lol.
well, Riven didnt kill Elder Souma, she seeked Elder Souma's help to destroy her runic blade, because she doesn't want to kill anymore. But the energy that was released when the blade is destroyed by Elder Souma is what killed him
@@dylanhu715 yuh thats true, but at least both Riven and Yasuo got a somewhat happy ending!!
my favorite thing about watching your reactions is how you dont cut anything in the recording (for the most part) so we get your real reaction and your true feelings to whats going on and you dont just have a script ready to read in the back or anything or you dont watch it a head of time to know whats going to happen to have reactions ready or anything like that. keep up the good work!
I'm guessing it was Yone's blood because he looked at the dirty sword right after he dreamed of killing his brother.
That older guy is demon azakana that feeds off human emotions he fed from yassuos emotions but yasuo protected him because he did not know he is a demon.
Edit: go watch necrit for more lore explanation.
Necrit needs sleep XD
When you look carefuly when yasuo looks behind him he seed a burning red demon attacking old guy that was helping him. He doesnt see thorns behind etc...
You watch moe too much.
Too add on, in TB Skyen's vid, he says fighting the demon would like be like Yasuo fighting against himself/ his negative emotions/ guilt, something that Yasuo doesnt want to face. Until he eventually decides to face his demon saying that he wont run away anymore
@@catherinele2260 well said
I love the timing when he's trying to remember Yasuo's name and said "Starts with the Y" at the same time the Old man said "Why else would the great Yasuo come"
I like how, when they were kids, they have an argument in land that was lively and bright.
12:46 its Ahri. She was also shown in the cinematic "A new dawn"
yeah, but a New Dawn is old and not canon for current LoL universe. Still pretty cool tho
Old man: "Why else would the Great Ya-"
Chris: "It starts with a Y"
Yasuo: "DUDE"
"i will keep it short"
@@woododivision8040 as someone who follows Yasuo's lore and it's branches, I can say that this is indeed very short.

@@nhel9957 I think it's yone because he encounters the azakana during it, it all fits his bio.
34:10 he choose to protect the monster because on his POV he didn’t know that the elder was transforming in a monster (Azakana), he saw a ghost attacking the elder, that’s why.
Plague Doctor ah yes, I mistook for another thing
Akana = Demon
Azakana = Evil spirits that feed on emotions
They can become demons if they grow strong enough
@@samuraiburrito2279 The animation is made by a Chinese company. The director of the animation is also a Chinese.
The old man was actually yasuo's inner demon. I don't know how to express it in English.
The old man was actually the product of an evil thought in Yasso's heart. Yasso was very proud and proud as a child but could not keep the elders safe. His heart was so full of remorse that he had been running away from it.
Eventually yasuo faced his demons. That's why yasuo said I wouldn't run again. Yone is actually an emissary who hunts the demons in the human heart.

You should probably watch the biggest league cinematic "A new dawn" its quite old now but it still holds up pretty good with the newer cinematics
The girl in the end of the cinematic is Ahri. But I dunno why she is with Yasuo
She runned from ionia
Yep she is Ahri, you could tell from the three whickers like marks on her face.
They're going to bilgewater, in the lore, ahri is supposed to change the course of the war against noxus
In some comic ahri is running from Ionia and is looking for a bodyguard because she wants to go to bilgewater.
The meaning in this cinematic is amazing: Literally facing down his literal inner demon, with his brother, the cause of that demon, and slaying it.
& then, of course, the Demon starts speaking about events he wouldn't of have known about unless he was there, probably signaling to Yasuo that the old man isn't who he appears to be
Who actually killed Yasuo's master? Was it Zed?
There is more to the sword reflection than what you said. The sword is bloodstained the first time he looks at himself showing us an unclear image of him. Then he washed the blood in the river and at the very end when we see him in the boat he looks at his reflection again but it is crystal clear this time. This was used to show the progression of his character throughout the cinematic. Having doubts about himself and many regrets about his past at the beginning but by the end all of that has been cleared. That was really awesome
I really like ur reaction and when u talk about animation ! Like
My third comment, but I'm really passionate okay!

You should watch "The path of Ionian myth" for more Yone lore.

That girl at the end was Ahri. In the Spirit Blossoms storyline, she's a guide for wandering souls to the afterlife. I believe Yone (that spirit guy with the red mask) is a wayward soul hunting demons, and Ahri is looking for him, but I could be wrong on that.
I love this too, buuuuuut...
Still waiting on warframe 2019 cinematic. Still waiting.

Same
The "bringing your blade next to eye level" is a defensive stance that enables you to defend high and present the point of the blade to the opponent (threaten to stab, basically).
You can tell he has a passion for movies and film making the way he follows and acts out their movements.

Did he just about say 'BANKAI' as Yasuo was winding up xD. YASSSSSSS
4:57 got me triggert XD: 'why else would the great yasuo come' and he screaming : aaaah it begins with a Y !!!
That was a delightful reaction to watch
24:53 But the shot they used was from inside the dark pupil of the eye, as him waking up from a nightmare. So black to present time, him opening his eyes. i think this way is much more impactful, because replication the same shot transition wouldn't show it the same way. Also on that note, the 2 difference animation styles are a clear way of showing past and present, which is cool.
Just yesterday found you out reacting to some League shorts and I thought, holy shit just wait until he gets to see the new one. 40min long video is pretty much what I expected :P
Just watched almost all of your league reaction videos! E P I C ♥
At the start when he gazes at his reflection on the blade, the blade is bloodstained and he can't see his reflection properly, but in the last part when he does it again, the blade is clean, and he can see himself more clearly.
Would love to see you react to the Fiddlesticks trailer! It's really good. Amazing video though, love watching your uploads
I love when a person is smart and knows how to go with what gets them views, and is good idea for content, Really liked the video!!!!
As soon as I saw that cinematic I thought "Chris is going to have some *real* fun with this one"
Mmm you forgot to mention that when Yasuo does that power "oomph" thing in the beginning, because he has wind-powers, he pushes the rain away with the explosion, and then a bit after Yone lands on the ground the rain comes back
12:56 is Ahri (Fox from Starguardian if you don't remember)
I enjoy to way much your reactions, you love cinematic and history as we legue players do! You get pretty well the essense of everything and how to admire the animation's little details
12:48 that’s Ahri, a spirit fox. She doesn’t remember her past and where she came from, that’s what she’s looking for. She’s also from the land of Ionia, so this is sort of picking up her story from the last time we heard of her in the timeline
changes in style were very well used in the star guardian 2019 video
The girl in the end is Ahri
A nine tailed fox/humanoid vastayan.
Yasuo is the cool guy, wind style.
Yone died and was revived through the spirit realm
You needed to watch “the path to Ionian myth”. It explains Yone’s origin a little more.
The girl at the end is Ahri, shes in a action cinematic *A New Dawn* lots of fight scenes and familiar characters
There is a prequel video, showing how Yone's spirit claimed this form and leaving the spirit realm. "The Path, An Ionian Myth | Spirit Blossom 2020 Animated Trailer - League of Legends"
I love your videos reacting to league cinematics! ❤️
The girl in the end is Ahri. She is the Spirit of Salvation in Spirit Blossom world. But in classic, she is an assassin. Lol.
React to "the path" it'll explain why he has the red sword .
The girl is called Ahri, the nine tailed fox. She's searching for her past because she cant remember anything lol
The guy is called yasuo and he didnt use dual swords at the beginning.
For an Overwatch reaction, you could react to “Infiltration” or “Hero”
Or another idea, you can react to Destiny 2 “The Last Gunslinger”
I really love what you do. I am a big league fan and its world story. Keep up the good work always looking forward to future videos.
Prolly one of the few channels where I can watch someone fan out THEN teach something XD
And while Ahri represented the Fox during the scene, Ahri is not directly the fox.
the girl at the ends name is Ahri
there quite a bit you need to know to understand her part in this cinematic cause it's a continuation of Yasuo's lore plus it's an event which introduced yasuo's brother Yone as a character in the game
I was expecting Chris to react to this ... I'm not disappointed. xx
You should check out the League of Legends Odyssey: Welcome Aboard.
It has some of the most unique cinematics, and is really fun!
I was waiting for this!!
