Joey: You hear that?

Plot Twist
Riot was actually designed to be a music label but they created the game just to deceive people.
It's Riot Music Ltd.
shhhhh! quite man they will listen
@@vincentangelobalbuena9409 shhhhh delett this before they catch on !
*Riot Music Ltd.* wants to know your location.
YES NO
There is actually a Riot Music.
Oof--
I'm glad you're reacting to all these pieces of art from League of Legends.
I hope he reacts to og warriors
that "fly fly phoenix fly" part make me goosebump
fpx
for me its the "Its time for a new empire"
Same bro!
"In a world where video game companies make better songs than actual record labels".
Me: Well of course, its Riot Games after all.
and now they are doing gameS :-).
Every champion in league has there own theme music, its a masterpiece, i would love to see you react to them, i think you would love them!
Especially for a character named Jhin
i agree
themes to check:
Jhin
aphelios
diana
vi
jinx
God King Darius has actually one of the best "battle" theme's. Or Aatrox.
Irelia has the best one
Just listen to all of them, u cant decided which one is better 🤣
Yes
"She's holdin out these long notes" yeah, that's what chrissy does.
Let’s all take a moment of silence of how good the song is and the animation
....
.....
Polaris The Great to be honest the characterization of the three champions here are amazing. I always get emotional when they finally defeated their dark / insecurities sides.
Reymart Dinglasa Right??? I added all there songs to my playlist and rewatched them!
Mr N15 ...
That is partly because each champion has their own color scheme which is matching to their environment in complementary colors. Irelia’s colour is red on a green environment which makes her pop a lot (red and green are complementary on the color wheel), Karma is mostly painted in orange tones and so is her environment but her magic is blue which is another very popular complementary color combination (complementary meaning right across each other on the color wheel), and that is why the fight scenes with Karma also pop a lot, the blue particles frame her. The only time where the colours weren’t complementary was with the horned girl (I forgot her name, pardon) but nonetheless her colours are analogous (meaning close to each other on the color wheel): blue, purple and red which gives her a much more controlled and reserved color palette but can also frame the character by distributing the colors unevenly (70-80% blue/violet hues and 20-30% reds) which is why when the action is important we can distinguish it by the red particles and elements. It’s a nice choice made by riot’s animation team and not usually noticeable unless you are familiar with the color theory but is incredibly effective.
Oh you really NEED to react and analise the Jhin theme from League of Legends, it's an amazing piece. The music department in the game is amazing.
Whats the title i wanna know
@@isaax5929 it's just called "Jhin, the Virtuoso theme / Login Screen", the character songs don't have a proper title or name
6:00, these songs are still produced to complement the animation playing. During the 2nd verse, the characters fighting finally break through. So yeah thats that. They probably didnt want to overwhelm the viewer idk.
You should take a look at the pentakill albums! There are a lot of songs, and I mean,A LOT!Would be pretty cool to see a breakdown on them. The 3 most watched ones are pentakill-lightbringer,pentakill-mortal reminder and pentakill-deathfire grasp. By the way, most of them are just the songs with no actual animations
Absolutely! He must hear Pentakill
Agree 1000%
When you said "That's a Universal feeling sound" I was like damn actually, League did a good job making a worlds song sound so universal
As We Fall is the most beautiful and emotional mv that Riot Games has done, you should react to it. Nice video btw
Joey: ooooooo that's that World's sound there
Your goddamn right
Oh I’m literally crying when you react to this song; this is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of all league songs. So beautiful...
I edit the post so the comments won't make sense
100% agree with all of this, and his reaction to as we fall would be awesome
1000% agree
Joey's great, he reacts to all kinds of songs, from pop to kpop to frozen?? and league of legends
That's a really open minded producer
There are some music for him to react to yet, like jhin's login screen music, as we fall, light and shadow.
Agree dudes
If u like the girl singing search Against The Current she is the vocalist of that band
I really like your League of Legends reactions. I'm not really that good when it comes to sound and all that kind of stuff but it's really interesting to watch these kind of videos. Keep it up!
absolutely loving these league of legends reactions, they are so underrated, thanks so much for getting them out there!
Joey Nato reacting to the world championship script, sweet.
Real fun to look back on this video in retrospect, the top 4 teams at the tournament are the three with players featuring here; and the winners are called Fun Plus Phoenix
Honestly, I think whats so enjoyable about watching your reactions is just how enthusiastic you are about music. During the entire video, I can feel your GENUINE enjoyment of music and how its produced, it really is refreshing. I'm a LoL enthusiast and the dark hole known as youtube brought me here and I'm happy that it did! Keep on keeping on Nato, never lose that fire for music. Peace.
Dude, you're so informative when making these videos! I've only just been getting into music production and finally my hands on a DAW I'm clicking with, and these breakdowns are great for inspiration and growing my technical understanding of music structure.
Thank you so much!
LoL community: Wow, what a bad song, where's my "Legends never die"?
Music Producer: This is a beautiful song! Absolute banger!
The league community says this song is terrible? I say that this song is good! It's one of the many songs this company produces that really grabbed my attention
The song isn’t bad, but it just doesn’t give that rush of intensity other songs did.
Майлз Прауер When people said it was a bad song, it was in context and comparison to the others. For worlds prior, we have had stuff like RISE, Warriors, Legends Never Die, and then suddenly this one came out, which was more of a typical song you’d find on the radio than something to get you hyped for the tournament.
Tl;dr, not a bad song, just not the right time/not what was expected and anticipated.
@@coffeeintherain819 eh. I liked this song much better than RISE but Legends Never Die and Warriors is still better imo.
It wasn't a good song for what it was for. The song itself is good and well made, but its not a hype song that gets you yelling and screaming as you watch the world stage.
You have to see the live performance from Worlds 2019
hello joey.. welcome to the league community
i would recommend the "cypher" of league.. called this is war made by falcon shiled part 1 to 6
While I love the music from LoL, you are right that at that second verse there was a LOT going on aside from the music itself.
A bit of context:
Those real life people that are there are some of the best in the world, and their decisions on the world's stage (largest international LoL tournament) are widely regarded as why their teams lost their match (hence the Phoenix reference, rising up to fight again)
It is also interesting to see what you pick up on as I'm not a producer myself, and I tend to focus on lyrics rather than music, so it's good to see the other side of the coin.
I’m always so happy to find you react to League of Legends music, and find joy in unraveling the details underneath them as much as I do. So glad UA-cam recommended your channel and videos to me somehow.
Like if you want him to react to jhin's theme music
Intro: *In a world where video game companies make better songs than actual record labels*
Me: *spits water everywhere*
Please react next to Light and Shadow (ft. Hiroyuki Sawano) Star Guardian Animated trailer
YESSSS
Actually he only reacts to music video
Hes a music producer
Light and Shadow is beauty, I definitely recommend watching it alongside the animation. Subtitles optional
There's a making-of video out there too!
I think those "toms" you heard are actually drums called Taikos! They're a Japanese-style drum, with a lot of effects added on to it (sounds like a lowpass filter and reverb). Keep up the good work Joey
Get Jinxed when?
ED: I spelled Legends never die wrong
You misspelled As we Fall twice.
Rinrin Fran Get Jinxed and As We Fall are the ones Ive been rooting for
The part with the violin is actually where they revealed the World Cup trophy in the opening ceremony. It was so beautiful
I really would love to see you break down a few of the League of Legends character theme's. On UA-cam they refer to them as "Login Theme's" since they appeared on the game's login menu.
Almost all of them are only instrumental so you won't have to worry about missing any hidden meaning behind lyrics and so on.
A few that I recommend are:
Jhin's Login theme
Ekko's Login Theme
Dunk-Master Darius Login theme
As many comments say, listent to this song in Spoty or Soundcloud. Is not as much compressed as it is in the youtube video and the difference is amazing.
I love watching your reaction vids bc it makes me realize how much effort and all those little details that really builds the songs together, thank you man!
The breakdown you give in the beats and hooks are super interesting.
"In a world where a reactor turned to the music producer in the future..." Plz make it happen
7:14 dude, that was a echo of “(whatcha gonna do now? whatcha gonna do now?)”
Thanks for listening to me!
I think I should explain the underlying theme of the song.
The first guy, rookie, was the mid laner for the team Invictus Gaming, also known as ig and won world's (I forgot which year) Rookie was in the community's radar due to his under performance, with the wording behind him the the train roughly translating to "grown cocky after winning worlds" and "retire please" as they believed he was the reason ig was not performing up to standard. The character they used to symbolise him was lisandra, who rookie was widely known for.
The second guy, caps, was recently in the spotlight as he changed from Fnatic to the rival team in Europe, G2. With many people wanting to see him fail as they saw it as caps betraying his friends in Fnatic. The character they used was Fiora, as caps was known to play unusual characters mid. However, in worlds 2018, his Fiora failed miserably, ending with a KD of 1 6. However he came back stronger than ever, winning MSI.
The third guy, faker, is widely known as the best player in the world (he was the guy in rise with he scroll and book). In the year IG won, ig won the final team fight as IG's adc managed to flash ult faker, shutting down his entire team. He took that loss very personally as they were slowly coming back but because of his misplay, they lost the finals. He even cried after the loss. After the loss, the team changed the roster and a lot of attention was placed on faker. During this time, a lot of the community was saying that he should retire. The character, karma, was the character that he was using during his historic misplay.
The dark versions of themselves were symbolic of the haters in the community who wanted to see them fail and them overcoming their struggles.
Note: some of the info may be a little off.
BTW am I the only one that finds it insane that giants and phoenix are considered as failures in the community for the songs? Then again Jihn and Tahm Kench's themes are amazing
I love seeing the background behind other peoples professions it's really eye opening
the crazy thing is that song is from 2019 Worlds and the team that won is called funplus PHOENIX! scripted haha
And the 3 players shown in the clip were all semi-finalist
I love your reactions to these League videos. It's nice to see someone reacting based on the music and not on if it involves their favorite characters or not.
He can't even resist to go back for 10 secs just for a chord, just proves how good it is lul
I listen to the song a lot but when I see your video it brings out every instrument of the song. Its like magic.
Last time i was this early he still have his eyebrows lol
That second verse that you thought was underwhelming, the focus was fully on the cinematic, the entire video is about e-sports players getting over their hurdles and the ways they failed in past seasons. And that verse in the cinematic was the turning point for it all.
Finally, I have been waiting for this video for a long time 😍😍
The Light and Shadow music from the game is amazing you should react to it
As always, i found myself looking forward to this videos, they are actually pretty entertaining.
Btw, believe me when I told you Legends Never Die has the biggest drumbs Riot has ever produce. Hopefully you will check that out soon.
Love how you put little jokes and quotes during the reaction videos, its much easier, comfy and funnier to watch the whole thing without getting bored. Keep your weirdness man.
I dont know about you guys but whenever I watch Joey's reaction videos, I have this satisfactory expectation of "I wonder what is his reaction gonna be like" and I havent been disappointed for once 👀💯
React to Light and Shadow
Absolutely love your breakdowns. .bring a whole new light to the song. .thanku you are dope joey. .hapoy Sunday. .love an god bless x
5:50 something i noticed, isn't a phoenix supposed to have a long and soulful cry that can both heal and give hope to those who hear it? is that what the long, drawn-out cry is supposed to symbolize, or am i making cookies without any dough here?
I love these music appreciation classes you give us, Joey!
legends never die, bring it home msi and awaken are next you should react :)
He did "Awaken" already
Bring home the glory u mean,he has already reacted to that
Riot games have also done two whole albums for the "band" pentakill. Would love to see you do one of those songs.
I love when you are reacting to league songs, I found you that way, since then Iam watching all your videos. Keep going, I love your channel!
Phoenix song is just hit different
My fav part of your videos is the passion you have for music.
You really should listen to Get Jinxed.
It is one of my favorite music videos of League of Legends and one of my favorite cinematics of all times.
You should watch The Curse of the Sad Mummy Amumu Music Video. I think its worth the respect for vocals. The singer has some really mad skills.
You said you think they were toms but they sound more like timpanies to me with yarn marimba mallets rather than timpani mallets. I used to prefer the sharper percussive sound over the softer, more deep and drawn out sound produced with standard timpani mallets.
wait wait the second verse was my fav though, especially the way the music becomes sort of eary at the train scene, that was so dope
This banger is always on my workout playlist
Don't know if you caught the backup vocals harmonizing with chrissy, that was Mako, he was in Rise, and helps write/direct a lot of the league songs along with Riot
have u try the warriors . its a song too from league of legends , the band is imagine dragons
I absolutely love your reaction videos! Pls do "as we fall" and "legends never die"! :^)
Is it just my stomach and butt getting ready to shit or im felling a slight chill on my nape and butterflies on my stomach listening to this
everytime i watch these videos, my respect for rito tremendously increases. thanks
I've been waiting for league of legends "Legends never die"
You should check out their earliest songs such as "Here Comes Vi", "Get Jinxed" for their champions in game. But also more World Championship Anthems like "Worlds Collide" if you haven't already.
I love learning about little production details I never noticed on these videos! Please react to Curse of the Sad Mummy next! Its another League song :)
NOT surprised you were into this. The vocal didn't compare to the flow of the music itself, its beauty is surreal
Please react to “We all lift together” by Warframe.
Yes, this! I love that song!
You gotta read or hear the lyrics man. They are PURE GOLD ❤️
A lot of things I missed in this song even though I've been listening to it for more than a hundred times because I love it.
I love legends and legends songs and u belive they are alive and protecting us ❤️
NATO!so close to 300K subs
I am really happy I am one of them
Hey, Joey.
Awesome analysis as usual.
Just a heads-up, if you're gonna do Legends Never Die, the video with the cinematic is not the full version of the song. There's a separate video on Riot's UA-cam channel for the full song.
I'd love to see you analyse that one, it's my favorite Worlds song.
Also: PENTAKILL, PLEASE!
When I hear this song I almost cry every time and have no idea why
Everytime Riot produce new music/clip I always checked your channel first. I like ur genuine reaction bro, keep it up!
This song had so many remix of it Just DOPE
Just based on the lyrics, it feels like the "demons" they're fighting in the video is their own self-doubt and such. That's why all three were fighting a carbon-copy of the same character.
And as they win near then end, it shows their own triumph over their own weaknesses and doubt. Or maybe just their improvement as a player, since they can defeat their past selves, or something.
I know thats a diferente type of content, but i think you would like a lot to watch the lol's Finals Opening Ceremony, where songs like Legends Never Die, RISE, Phoenix, GIANTS - True Damage, and others are performed in na amazing stadium with a lot of details, thats just another kind of experience.
Hey Joey! What are your thoughts on Rock/Metal? As well as these worlds anthems, they have an two metal albums and one album which is all EDM remixes of their original soundtrack. Some of the songs are typical rock anthems, but in each album there is one song that stands out to me, namely Last Whisper and Tear of the Goddess. I love music and I know a little bit about production but I can never put my finger on these songs or what you might classify them as. There's something much more melodic to the vocals and the guitar track in both of these song compared to their counterparts and I love it! I'd be very interested to see what you could piece together from those styles!
React to "Get Jynxed", is my favourite league song so far
Felipe Gouveia nah, its legends never die, clearly.
@@hunterhunter2215 i said its MY favourite song. Its just my opinion
@@felipeggouveia i know, i just wanted to start a conversation😂😂
Surprise!!
There are two more official remixes of this song
They are actual music company
you should defintely check out more of the league stuff they've been putting out quality for years
As much as I understand from the information that is available through their documentaries, quick looks and stuff into their music side - they make everything themselves. I don't think they'd be sampling, but actually sitting in recording studio and just making it as they go. A lot of shot behind the scenes shoots show full out bands making the songs from scratch.
the song was the world championship 2019 song, also the team Funplus PHOENIX won the championship, wich was very cool because of the song! the video is very important to the league of legends players, because the proplayers were shown with the characters with wich they made wrong decisions and misplays in the finals from 2015-2018. the song was meant to hype for the worlds :)
The sound cloud versions of these songs have more detail to them
you should also check Legends Never Die (live in korea or the "ufficial video" version), The Curse of the Sad Mummy and a heavy metal song called Mortal Reminder
ALL DONE BY RIOT
The most amazing thing about this song is the LYRICS
you should listen to the old LOL music like "legends never die" that is probably how 45% of fans who knew pop star because of this song and was most popular before pop star and "worlds collide" that started the whole thing
Now its time to react to light and shadow from League of Legends which is so emotional for me, its a masterpiece.
Riot Games has couple more songs you could react to like Warriors by Imagine Dragons and Ignite by Zedd
dude i am waiting till he reacts to the ammumu song, dude i love that one
