- Thanks for watching my video! My name's Ayla Tesler-Mabe, and I'm a 15 year old guitarist from Canada. Here’s my interpretation of Santana’s Black Magic Woman (originally written by the fantastic Peter Green). All filming, editing, recording and playing by me, but of course, all rights go to the original artists. Though I certainly won’t stop making covers because they’re a lot of fun to do, I’m shifting my focus more to writing original material instead, and will hopefully have something to share with you all soon. I love Santana!!

I tell you that you are on a page to give you dislikes "KingdomLikes", that's why you have so many, you're great!
Agustin Melgh Thank you! After looking into it a bit, it turns out that someone paid over $100 to purchase fake dislikes for this video. Crazy!
Yeah... I have been calling Carlos Santana since he did that... even heros feel intimidation now and then
please play a gig with Sina
That's insane and sick and sad, why on earth? You rock, Ayla, you are sublime. You have the touch and feel and timing. Keep on keepin' on!
im broke af and some people have 100 bucks to waste on disliking a video....the world we live in
It does my heart good to see that the younger generations are loving this music. Well done Ayla.
I so hope it starts to come back, I fluctuate between classic and modern, but I constantly go back because my soul is hungry to feel the music! I get a feeling as our younger generations grow older we will also grow keen for soul food music instead of ego food music 😅
Told You All . AYLA is the
Bomb ! M m ? She's a Brain
Burner , Ouch ! Love Music
With all my heart I wish you success in your music and creativity.
I know people appreciate the beauty and elegance we witness on her videos, but I hope people realize just how amazingly difficult and precise Ayla’s talent really is. She is taking the artistry of extremely great guitar players and creating her own masterpiece, literally with her eyes closed.

I heard/saw Ssntana and many bands and groups in the 60s, 70s and 80s. This young lady would fit right in: she's got that vibe. Wow!
I"m 73 years old. I started playing when I was younger than her and I still can"t play like that. Great cover of a great song.
Please, Please....never delete this. Just listening to the guitar does my soul wonders. Thank you for this!
Now , this is what you call FEELIN’ ! The difference from other performances you can hear that she re-creates the phrases so she get the sense Nail it ! Love it!
Thank you Ms. Tesler-Mabe. You have shown that the guitar is not just an instrument of music, but a window into the soul of the player. Your soul and talent are laid bare for all to see here and both are beautifully poetic.
The difference between a great player and a good one is feeling. I could tell before you even started you knew where to go to get in the zone.
This is what playing another artists piece should sound like. Not a note for note technical repetition, but an emotional emulation of the piece.
You are wonderful and not just a guitar player but an artist!
Arthur Vickery lop
Well put, I agree.
Nothing to add
Yes. She conveyed emotional content of the piece with Soul.A very difficult feat achieved by a gifted few, A very pleasant listen.
I've played the guitar since I was barely able to hold one.
You really screwed that one up. Way too much interpretation...
You either copy Santana directly, or you come up with your own.
No mix and match. On a scale of 2 to 10, I give you a 0.
Next time...record it, play it back, and critique yourself...don't wait for idiots like me to point out. If you're good, you can do this.
That
Always, the smile at the end that says "That was fun!" always gets me! 😄
Damn girl you’re literally born to do this
You are GIFTED with a talent I know 40 year old guitarist's wish they had! Keep posting!
If he's 40 years old, I'm sure he knows that this girl practices a heck of a lot, and that musical skill isn't a "gift" of any sort.
Welp…. I’m a 40 year old man (how did that happen?) and I’ve been playing since I was 15, and she’s better then me haha
I've been playing, practicing... feversly working the guitar for the same duration. Since I was 15 and now I'm 70 and can say this lady is fortunate to harvest her untapped potential so soon. Please keep the improv music flowing jewels.
You got it L'il Sister. From a diehard 77 year old Santana lover.
You've captured the soul and tone. Keep it up
great song from peter green great performance big liiiike
I intended to watch this for 20 seconds and ended up watching the whole thing.
Me too. 👍
I will hand it to her. She can butcher any song.
Same
Wow exactly
ok simp
I've been a fan and have watched Ayla develop for the past 4 years.Such an incredible talent, and it's so great so see someone find their passion at such a young age. Amazing.
And that Beautiful Third Stone From The Sun at the end :))
sometimes the word shit in a phrase means good. I think that's what he meant
Jimmy Lee Van De Putte dude, instead of sounding hip and cool why not just tell her she sounds incredible!!! OK. just ease up on the language..we get it
Patricia Gullickson Instead of complaining about how people say shit, why not just come up with something actually interesting to say.
But he isn't hip and cool .....he's a douch!
Simply amazing.I have played for 40 year's.And girl you got it .God has given you a ton of talent.Best wishes
Your imaginary friend has nothing to do with any of this. P-ss off somewhere else with your mumbo jumbo!
@@regino523 Well said.

i can listen to you play for hours
for an old 55 year old rocker thats saying something and ive seen some of the biggest bands in my time and still do.

Best electric guitar for 2017
paul andrews Exactly! She is very good!!!
paul andrews hell yeah we love our Blues
I love this!
awesome playing
love listening to your style
Not just the technicality, but the tone, feel and that vibrato. Fantastic. Loved every minute of it
Your Ma & Pa must be proper folks. Your off to a great start. Keep up your grades as well. Your love will become your vocation... Captivating x
Graham T That's what I'm saying too!! You go girl!!! an keep going! You're more than good!
Well she deserves the gear tbh
I will support my kids too if they can PLAY THAT GOOD.
I just watched this. Really good cover of the Peter Green song, Ayla. Sadly we lost him recently, but his music lives on. I saw him once, in concert. John Mayall's Bluesbreakers opened up for him. He did Black Magic Woman too!!! Didn't do Green Manalishi though, which he also wrote - and Judas Priest covered.
So many young guitarist here on YT and most of them are very technical and precise. What all of them are missing is the FEELING that makes one a GREAT guitarist. You, Ayla are on your way to being one of the great guitarists. I feel you in your playing. Great job!
You play with feeling. It is good to see you improvising and feeling the music.
Zafar Sami
old jazz guy: if you wanna play you gotta feel those bendz
Best version of that song I've ever heard. Bar none. Incredible tone too.
Putting your touch on Santana is not an easy thing to do. Bravissima!!!
With your skilz, you should have millions of subs 🤘🏼
People have to realize that this is HER rendition. Great job.
Amazing talent. How can someone so young be so great. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a fucking sublime player. Amazing Ayla! Felt every note. Quality!
I think she was playing Santana, not Sublime.
Excellent techniques, nice trills and fills, lots of feeling and aggressive attack. Superb.
Shes a master of the two finger bend . . . Check out her cover of Since I've Been Loving You. I think I've watched that video 40 times and it just doesn't get old.
What a pleasure it is to see such a wonderful young Lady playing so smoothly and with so much glamour and grace :-)
I have UA-cam playing in the background and I honestly thought it was Santana live. Excellent. I love your version.
me too , incredible
Ayla well done. One of my favorite artists. You did him justice. Your sustains were excellent. Timing on point. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
Makes me proud to be Canadian! Thanks, Ayla....
I’m a big fan of yours, and you covering this song is like a gift from the heavens. My mom introduced me to this song when I was little, and it reminds me so much of the good times I’ve had in life. Thank you.
You got everything it takes: Talent, passion, creativity, groove and tone.
I have no idea of what magical place you internally travel to when you perform such amazing moments in time but I love it!
I'm sure Carlos Santana would approve keep up the good work and God bless
??? Fleetwood Mac 😊
Amazing dynamics and feel. That vibrato is insane!! And the tone, oh man❤️
Quite simply one of the best covers of this song I've seen, and I've seen many. Carlos would be proud! Matching his feel is where many covers fall short, and you've nailed it!
Well done, beautiful sound, great form. Eyes closed, that’s just gravy! Nice! You obviously grew up in a rock family. Impressive.
Makes me appreciate this song all over again.
Absolutely perfect! Great job for such a young lady.
Phenomenal job! I'm looking forward to hearing some of your original works. Keep it up!

Absolutely fantastic, keep on playing and practicing and always play with feeling and emotion like you did on the cover. Two thumbs up 👍👍 girl you are fantastic! 😎✌

Beautiful playing. I love listening to you on my drives to work in the morning.
I started playing guitar, when i was 12. Santana was one of my first guitar-heroes too. At the age of 16 i later played in a blues-band where the other guys were 10 Years older than me. We played some other Santana-Stuff (Europa, Samba Pa Ti) and the crowd loved it. Keep on playing and practicing. You are on the right way and got much talent......
Great to see some one so young playing guitar with feel and soul, not just fast moves.
great job Ayla closed my eyes and thought I was listening to Carlos.
Really like how you made it your own. Put in your own nuances. Great job girl.
Atta girl!!! Keep it up Ayla!!!!
That was so much fun to hear you do a fav from my younger years..now 70 and still go for new fresh new fans of the great Santana classic...I will be hoping you keep wowing us Ayla. Thanks

WOW took my breath away. closed my eyes and just listened over and over.
Excelent as usual. Thank you Ayla!
Love the 3rd Stone Lick. Beautiful guitar!
She certainly has mastered the "Carlos Santana Magical Chord Progression " ... good lord girl!! Excuse me while I throw my guitar in the trash.
🤣
Me too. My poor lil Epiphone😞🤣
Fleetwood Mac. ???
I think you mean the carlos santana secret chord progression!
What model and what street would you be throwing it out on? Just curious
That guitar sound is your soul pumping through your veins young lady, awesome 💯🤙🏼
Wow! Girl you caught the spirit of this tune. Love your work
Great! I like how you nodded to the original, keeping the main riffs but also added your own touches; the afterthoughts at the end were nice too!
Thank you AYLA. A great 👍 guitarist Play sa wonderful song. ❤️👍😊
I have been a recording engineer and a guitar engineer for years. You are the most flawless and beautiful musician. And I mean your music is beautiful! You are too but I'm an old man and it's your amazing talent and skill that has me hooked
Brilliant !!! Peter Green and Santana would be proud!!!
That was so good, just awesome, very nicely done, and the smile at the end was fantastic too, 🌹
She's closing her eyes while playing it. That I'm amazed.
volikoto...I was thinking the same thing while she was playing
I could see this girl as a famous solo act someday! HELP BRING ROCK BACK!
What strikes me (besides Ayla’s amazing talent which comes across to me as some kind of delightful sort of channeling) is her mischievous smile at the end of a fantastic trance-like guitar strumming.
My favorite part of the video is that beautiful smile..
I just showed this to my guitar instructor and asked him if there was any chance I could play like that. He just smiled and said "hell, I can't play like that"

You better get your money back
@@user-sz5xs7dm4u I was going to Michael until your dad explained that he was going to use the money to help get your sister off the corner and you out of the basement. Keep on trolling buddy

You have a bad instructor and you also have bad insults
Still lovin this, after so many years, so cool with Hendrix in the outro..... Alex in Norway
15 year old girl from Canada, eh...well, there goes another Stereotype
Dang, yer good!!! ❤
This girl gives carlos back as much SANTANA as even he creates. And with the same tone! Brilliant.
You're great!!!! I love the feeling when you play
You should totally do Lemon Song!
She's 15, Hampton.
Alan C till the juice run dowwwwwwn
Love the octave chords towards the end.. You lived that performance...Beautiful Job! ✌🏼
You're an old soul, Ayla. Truly. You have the feel, the sound and the technique. Can't wait to hear your original music.
Thank you for such kind words. I have some original music coming out very soon actually... :)
THAT'S PRETTY GOOD GIRL, YOU CONTINUE YOUR PASSION. I've seen CARLOS in CONCERT TWICE. Once in Asheville, NC and at the Charlotte Coliseum where he was the opening band for ERIC CLAPTON. HE CAME BACK ON AND JAMMED WITH ERIC PLAYING "LAYLA". IT WAS GREAT SEEING 2 OF THE BEST GUITARIST PLAYING TOGETHER ON STAGE.😉😃😄😁😎
I just closed my eyes and went on an epic journey......Thanks.
I was pretty confident in my guitar ability before I watched this, but now I'm not so sure. Awesome cover!!!! You kicked ass!
Very, very, nice, Ayla! That was most enjoyable. It was also an excellent example of how to work a Gibson thinline electric, between sustain & nuanced dynamics. Plus, your finger strength is so evident with your control of note bends and vibrato. So fine!
Hey! It's my guitar teacher from Guitareo.
This right here, ladies and gentleman, is a Guitar Hero.
Carlos shelf couldn't do it . Like that . Both are ❤️🌹
Ayla Magic women 👍😍
Viva Carlos , el Maestro !!!!!!
Love the ES. Sounds Awesome and great improv
Blown away. The smile at the end says it all.
Wow, it's only when you hear the guitar part isolated you realise how good it is. Great stuff.
I always thought that Carlos was trying to be "too perfect" when he originally played this. Alya you used the perfect guitar for this and brought "heart and soul" to the piece of music. Well done!
Her name's AYLA.
Remember it well.
amazing. keep doing that and wi will support you!!
