As a Veteran Trucker, One tip in Trip Planning is Give Yourself at least 1 1/2 hour Buffer Zone. That way, you won't ware down your clock and you won't be struggling to find Safe Parking. It would help avoid the obstacles along the way. Another tip is DON'T LET YOUR DBL TELL YOU WHEN TO STOP!!!!! They are only looking at your 11 and they don't see the obstacles. YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR SHIP!!!!!! THEY ARE ONLY YOUR DECKHAND/SWABBIE!!!!!

Stupid crap! A vet can find a place to park in the Bronx and Manhattan. Trip planing is unpaid waste of time!

Neglecting your Health. In theory, focusing on health (sleeping, eating, mental downtime)is a wonderful concept. In reality, it’s not at all easy to do. This video shows some stir fry type food preparation, and this was prohibited in company trucks during the six years I worked for Schneider. Staying “healthy” even now, as an O/O with an ARI Sleeper cab, is very difficult long term because it’s still “working” where I must prioritize customer service and cash flow. I am not on vacation out here. There are all the logistical issues like where can I go to shop for groceries (in my extra long truck/trailer), how long can I remain parked (for downtime) before the lack of cash flow ratchets up the cash flow, how do I keep my customers (the handful of agents/brokers I work with) if I turn down their loads, etc. So yeah, in theory life on the road seems attractive, but the company has its own factors and demands that you, as a company driver/employee, are obligated to meet.

Great tips! Safety First and Always 👍👍 Definitely don't make the mistake I made in burning bridges that would disqualify for rehire! I'd Love an opportunity to reestablish a relationship with Schneider! The Best Trucking Company out there! Imo!

I'm getting a 12v fridge freezer that I can strap on the top bunk. Also portable enough to use camping.

Had this video been produced by swift then I'd wonder if this was a joke!
Anyone can drive a truck, although having the skills to manage the truck, freight and surrounding area is a different story.

Stop teaching these new guys to stay in the second from the right lane in the cities. It causes unnecessary traffic, just stay in the right lane.

And if you don't have common sense or problem solving abilities, then you should probably find a different career.

And then I watch them more and it's like really. You're gonna tell me something about something that is really stupid when it comes to organisation.I guess that's why Snyder has not a very good repetition out there. That's right now never mind
