I know this is a few years old at this point. But I am so thankful for this video! I have been in contact with Schneider about pulling a bulk unit after I finish school. I am not new to the industry by any means, I am just ditching my office chair for a truck seat :) I knew all of this terminology already but it's so nice to be able to actually see and visualize. Thank you so much for this!

And at 11.25 I marked Schneider off my list. I went through their cdl school 14 years or so ago and it was good training for those of you looking to get your cdl. This time I was looking for a tanker opportunity and knew Schneider would do it right but I'm old and I'm not going clean shaven.

Thanks, Matt for making this video. It helped me get an idea of what to expect as far as the equipment on the truck. Also, nice looking 2019 Cascadia. I start my tanker training in Houston this month. Did dry van for a year (17-18) with Schneider then went to intermodal with a local company. Coming back to Schneider for tanker. Excited to come back and start my training.

I had trained there in Green Bay, Wisconsin with Schneider National for box trailers Feb 2001 then went out with a Training Engineer but I was too dumb when it came down to downshifting but could upshift fine. I'm not afraid to admit to the public here. I was over thinking the whole thing as was my first to try this.

For all drivers considering Schneider tankers please note that the majority of trailers are 30 year old spring ride with abhorrent maintenance and overall conditions, top this with slow tractors, shorted on miles, and the lowers pay in the tanker industry you have far better choices.

    - Motor: DD13 of 470 HP
    - Transmission: 13-speed manual,
    - Differential ratio: 3.58
    - Wheelbase: 228 ‘’
    - Front axle: 12,000 lbs

    Everything was fantastic...but
As Safety First rules order, why going up on trailer without SAFETY ROPE stopped on top?(there's no sense to have 3 points anchorage on the steps, and no safety rope for stay on the top).
    And another thing:
The pipes sistem behind cab,I THINK and repeat is just a mine opinion,It coulld be dangerous for two reasons. The first because truck driver while try to take one stay lower than pipes,so the pipes can hit driver on the head or evrywhere. The second is the pipes could cause pipes on the way or accident...
I THINK is better orizontal pipes sistem for storage its than one vertical.
    Sorry for my maccaroni's english.
