Farm like a lunatic: farmlikealunat... Joel Salatin gives us parenting advice, shares the secret of longevity and success and shares his vision for the future.
Thanks for a great conversation with Joel. Thoroughly enjoyed the chance to listen in to all the life you all were able to share during the interview. God bless you all.
Just started the video. I 💯% apologize to my kids when im wrong. I dont remember my parents ever doing that if anything they'd double down. I not only have apologized i also explained to my son that even as an adult we make mistakes and noone is perfect. We all need to be able to recognize when we are wrong and apologize. We need to be raising people who dont takr everything at face value. Does their research and isnt afraid to think outside the box they are trying to keep us in. Im 32 and sadly just starting to really do my research on things which is sad but im still learning. ❤
Guys, Matt Carriker utuber 5 mil subs needs a permaculture grower to lease ground to recover pastures, provide meat for the resturants, food truck vendors and farm store. 400 acres. Hes too busy to think and worry about land in the buildup phase. All the equipment you could ever need onsite. Would be a great expansion for large herd growers..greg judy, joel S and a great oportunity for a trained grazers. Just the utube channel growth would be worth the partnership.
6:24 in and I am chuckling. middle child here: i am in technical sales w/ an engineering degree, and own my own probiotic garden solution company ha-ha
My husband is 72 and this is the first year in his life that he has ever been on a daily medication. He had a mini stroke in March and now has a regular physician. The very first thing they did was put him on three medications daily. He hates it!
I am 68, almost 69, in July. Inside, I feel 30-ish, because I was strong. I walked everywhere, built fence, set creosote posts, worked at McD's and outworked younger people.
My husband has Parkinsons, IBS, Diabetes, and yet his blood pressure is good, his heart is good, but he needs hip surgery. He walks like Tim Conway taking itty-bitty steps. He has dry eye and has to use eye drops.
I wish there was a program (by state) that those older farmers who don’t have children that want the farms would be on a list and try to pair younger farmers who want to continue farming together.
@@Mindy56743 Now that is asking for trouble. Keeping an eye on your weight is important. Pretending you don't have a problem, never ends well. I was meaning not watching the aging of your face in the mirror.
Interesting and helpful video. Although I don’t know any of you personally, I feel like I could sit down with you all and feel right at home. Blessings
Joel is a good man. Becca interrupts the good man, mid- STORY!!! How many times??? Joel gave her the out…… good goodness. I was annoyed. The man is speaking and you interrupt and act like…. Ah? U were saying???? as if I’m interested????? I don know, u go on about your girl and perfect horse??? Maybe PROBLEMS we’d all like to have!!! I don’t think you’re Joel peeps
🇦🇺My grandchildren were required to have either iPads from grade 1 then laptops from grade4. No books to write in and no books to read. Everything was online. They are now 14 & 16 and everything is still online.
Brilliant discussion!!! When you have him on again, it'd be interesting to ask him questions from Abundance Plus members. I know it wouldn't flow as well, but that's okay.
Hardly brilliant. Almost cringe worthy. Justin continues to want Joel to help Justin to push his crap. Joel being an intelligent person sees right through it.
I took my time going through this interview, and I loved every minute. Justin and Rebecca you are great interviewers, and I bet you could get Mrs. Salatin with a little honey and effort. 😊 I appreciate you both.
I could listen to comfortable conversations with Joel all day.
Justin and Rebecca, I am so glad You are Friends with Joel, I could listen to you guys all day!
Very enhoyable. Loved all the laughter!♡
All day!
Rebecca wake up and fix the spelling

I am raising mostly Silkie chickens. Right now, Khaki Campbell's duckling hens are in the brooder.

Usually there is a neighbor child who wants to lease or buy the farmer's land. That's how two of my husband's uncles are retiring.

The best way to stay feeling young? Don't own a MIRROR!!
This is my thoughts about a bathroom scale! One item that goal is to make you feel bad. I don’t own one!

Such wisdom! Joel, I admire you, you libertarian maniac! 🤣🙌🏽✊🏽 ditto!
I feel like all 3 of mine were first borns, or only children. 7 year gap then 14 year gap

Oh no, Henry is your manipulator. He only has to sceem, and he gets what he wants. Sales man in the making. 😂😊
Wait till you try parenting adult children.
That is not the right horse. Go with your gut.
You are going to buy land in Uruguay and stay there!!! Retire there!!!!
I LOVED THIS thank you all so much
Always love to hear Joel ❤
My momma used to always say..."bloom where you're planted...otherwise, you're a blooming idiot". 😂😂😂
Joel has so much wisdom. LOVED "getting a BS in non-BS" LOL
Gotta live his passion ❤
absolutely The Birth Order book helps u to understand behaviour.
Helicopter parenting has destroyed this country. Let them learn common sense.
