oh my god so much usefull information. But still I have a question. When it comes to tanking SWP bosses there is a well known buff "Sunwell Radiance". what are the requirements in stats for tank to feel comfortable against it? how much avoidance and defence rating do I need?
Great guide, can't fault it. I pally tanked TBC and some of the guides out there are just awful. Example; I saw one the other week the guy was trying to get you to use a no spell damage weapon and have you use loads of hybrid plate gear with defence and spell damage....when anyone who actually played knows you use a caster DPS weapon and just gear like a warrior with a preference for avoidence and mitigation.
JC is better investment overall. You get 33stam , intellect and +sp power on use. Its easy to make. You make good $ and use that to pair it w DMF vengeance. Enchanting is good $$$ you reserve not needed 5man blues. Lw for hardcore raiding but you only get drums. $$$ > drums
why still libram of repentance? doesn't excessive block rating get pushed off the table after you avoidance + block is over 102.4? So with good survivability set the bonus is literally dead stat. I can see it being good in a threat set though
New system in BC. The rating system adds a proportion of the rating to the skill. It took 2.36 defense rating to increase defense skill by 1. You need defense of 490 or 332 defense rating. He actually had a little more defense rating than he needed but nothing wrong with that- he was a little more avoidant than necessary as well! It made itemizing gear easier and more divisible. Very elegant solution.
They all also scale differently, you need less block rating for a % of block than you would for dodge or parry. Having been a pally tank in TBC till like T5-6 you're always juggling gear, I remember one drop making me swap like 5 prices of gear around.

With how everything seems to be in TBC do you stand by these choices? I feel like in guilds that pump its all about threat threat threat right now

What profession would you recommend using to replace engineering after you replace the rocket launchers?

most pallies stoped before sunwell because the gear looked terrible and had no real class identity.

@@goy1849 t4 5 and 6 all looked amazing. I loved the pink power ranger. Sunwell gear was all generic like tournament gear in wrath.
