Some of these are massive stretches at best. The Cyberpunk one is absolutely a stretch for sure. Also, rocketjumping was in Quake first, the term rocketjumping was literally coined by the Quake community. Some of these are massive stretches at best. The Cyberpunk one is absolutely a stretch for sure. Also, rocketjumping was in Quake first, the term rocketjumping was literally coined by the Quake community. This was a decent video but there are plenty of actual references you could have included rather than infer that a tattoo of a futuristic looking shape in Cyberpunk was somehow meant to be a TF2 reference via a cosmic amount of confirmation bias.

Even *if* the design team were thinking of TF2 when they added the voiceline, Quake is still the birthplace of Rocketjumping and they'd still be referencing Quake regardless. Also I highly doubt that a team of Industry Veterans making a team shooter game *doesn't* know about Quake.
