MOST 2XO stuff is a expensive but they did launch their shelf product last year, the American Oak. It came out at $50-55 but I've been seeing it plummet in price. It's $40 at Costco and Total Wine in my area now. For $40 I picked up a bottle and it's solid for the price. I'd say its comparable with OF 1910 and Woodford Double Oaked. I've yet to put it into a blind but I think it would probably finish 2nd behind OF 1910 for me personally. I think I have 6 differed double oak bottles in the house now so I'll have to do that blind soon.
That would be a legit blind! I need to do one like that too.
Have to hit up 45th parallel distillery in New Richmond next time you are in Wisconsin and try all their stuff.
