In real life, the colors will knock you over as it did me. I shrieked in the middle of the night the very first time I laid eyes on it. Funny thing was, I was contemplating in throwing the plant away as it did nothing for two years and I kept getting fine thorns on my arms when I brush pass against....LOL Now I'm glad I kept it.
Sooo beautiful.😍😍😍 it really looks like dragon fruit but smaller version.🥰 so cute.🥰 hindi nyo po ba tinatanggal yung mga blooms nya tita? Sabi kasi kapag may blooms dapat daw tanggalin.🤔
@@siewleanchoong8625 The cutting of the opal in that video is done a few days ago; so the video is current. All of our prospecting videos requires travelling away from home for months on end and that's why I have to have a really good soil for my succulents...LOL Editing the video is a lengthier process which can only be done once we returned home. What we find still has to be cleaned, cut or processed to go into the video; which also takes a long time to accomplished.

Is it the same plant? Flowers are the same but one with 3D leaf/stem, the other is flat. Flat one is bakawali @ sundal malam @ queen of the night, giving very fragrant scent at night. Dragon fruit has 3D stem.
This has 3D stem also and hairy/thorns like cactus but softer. The flowers are intoxicating highly fragrant also. I suspect this could be a cross between two species.
You could be right but according to World of Succulents Disocactus ackermannii(Red Orchid Cactus). This also came labelled Epiphyllum. Thanks for watching Dustin.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Depending on the source Disocactus and Epiphyllum are taken as one or two different genuses, same as the Hylocereus and Selenicereus Genuses. But Disocactus are bilaterally symmetrical, different from the true Epiphyllum flowers which are not symmetrical at all
I use plain tap water most of the time. I only use soil wetter as a starter or soil breaker when the pots been kept dry for a long time and the soil becomes waterproof.
What a beautiful day to see those gorgeous flowers and the fruit is like a mini version of dragon fruit.

Thank you so much 😊
Good morning from Suriname is that not the lily of the night ?
I think you're referring to the Queen of the night? This might actually be a cross-hybrid of Epiphyllum and Hylocereus.
Hi tita.🥰 Merry Christmas🥳
Salamt po. Merry Christmas din po at sana ang New Year will be a much better one for all of us..
Just repot my lithops with you soil mix. Thank you 😊

Are the flower edible?
I don't know.
Yes, are.
Looks more like Disocactus Ackermani, not a epiphyllum but closely related
