  • FIRSTLY - I know I have promised a review of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and I apologize for that. BUT, it is coming very soon.
    SECONDLY - Apologies for the sound quality - I will soon purchase an external MIC.
    THIRDLY - I am still very nervous, being an amateur. Hopefully I will get better in time. :-)
    Now, this is just a basic review of the ALVA gas stove. I really hope this will give insight to anyone thinking of purchasing this.

    Thanks, Johann, really great movie. I just bought mine recently for Loadshedding-Coffee time. I have one question, I know you did mention at 06:50 that when you have done and switched to unlock mode, it's safe and no gas leak, hence my Q = Will you recommend keeping it inside the chamber (on Unlock mode) till tthe next use or you think people need to take the canister out? Will we losing any volumes by removing it from the chamber? Thanks again

    • @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961
      @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961  2 роки тому +2

      Hi "M IRHUMA",
      Thank you for the positive feedback, really appreciated :-)
      Techically speaking, you should always follow manufacturers instructions. However, I personally feel that when the device is in "unlock mode", there is no possibole way for the gas to be released. Please try the following so that you can see for yourself: put it in "unlock mode", open the lid of the cannister housing, and then you should be able to litterally move the cannister a few inches forward and back. Thus, it is nohwere near the nozzle to depress the nozzle of the cannister, which means no gas can possibly escape. In fact, in some cases I would say it is safer to leave the cannister in the unit (of course in "unlock mode"), as then it has the housing to protect the cannister from punctures and and dents, which could affect the stabilty of the cannister....depending on where some people might store the cannister...hehe. I have left mine in the device for a few years now...and never had any issues. Again, very important saftey tip....always switch to "unlock mode" when not in use.
      I hope this information helps? If not, please reach out to me again anytime :-)
      Regards,
      Johann

    Hi Johann, is this stove safe to use in the house. On the box it says for outdoor use only. Also please advise what are the chances of the gas/stove exploding or gas getting released from the nozzle of the canister?

    • @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961
      @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Molao. Apologies for the late reply. I persnally mostly use it indoors, and never had an issue. Just like any other gas operated device, if the gas cylinder is correctly installed, you should have no issues at all with leakage. Just remember to always release the gas canister switch when you are not using it. :-)

    Should we leave the can in till it is finished or should we take it out and insert it back when using. Also does the Alva Gas level indicator work on these small can.

    • @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961
      @justanotherreviewwithjohan5961  2 роки тому +3

      Hi "The Boss". You can leave it in, however, very important, you have to disengage the lock. Technically speaking, it is always better to take out the canister, especially when you are not going to be using it for a while. But I personally leave it in (always just remember to take it out of lock mode). Unfortunately there is not gas indicator, but always have a spare canister available, so that when it is empty, you can quickly replace it. I hope this clarifies a bit? :-)

However, i must re-iterate what Johann said, make sure to disengage the canister once you have boiled up your coffee. I just found P n P sell a lovely little aluminium kettle for i think it was R280 (2022- June)(butane canister just went up in the past week from R39 to R45- soon as load shedding happens prices rise).
