Everyone should have one of these, we’ve used camping in a tent during rainstorm to cook a quick meal and at home during loadshedding. Cylinders last a long time! Highly recommend
Just got mine today from takealot. It took me a while to work out how to use it as the written instructions that come with it are not clear but this video and the one from Builders are great. I am delighted with my purchase and appreciative of your video.
The electricity was just restored after a 7 hour power outage in Pretoria. Thank you for this very informative video. I'm getting one, as in yesterday...
Thank you so much for this..I already returned one that I thought never worked. Got a replacement today and thought it also didn't work..Searched for the stove on you tube, and found this..I also never turned the control knob all the way to the bottom, for the click...Think they should print it better in the instructions..Best wishes..
I am planning to get a wok but with it I'd have to use it on fire or gas stove, I wasn't willing to replace my electric stove for a huge gas stove, but this, this I need. Got excited hearing Rand being mentioned 😅😅 at least I know I can easily access this little beast. Thank you!
I swear UA-cam is a cheat code for life, there isn't a thing that is not here. I struggled for about an hour with this stove today till I decided to come on UA-cam for help, thanks for the video mate. Quick one, are these little bottles refillable?
Hi loved the vid. Just got me one of these and I watched ur vid as a tutorial. But I took my gas bottle out after use. DU u recommend I DU that of can I leave it in. T. I. A
Hi ive turned mine right down to the bottom.. But nothing ignites. Its the 2nd one ive now got. I can hear the gas flowing, but nothing. Could it be the cannister?
Thank you, I just purchased mine today (to tackle load-shedding morning coffee). One question if you perhaps know, in cases of intermittent use (like during load-shedding hours/ travel to different places), Can we remove the canister and re-install them each time, or it must be kept attached to the stove the as a once-off install ~ in that case is it safe to keep it (gas leak?). Thanks
Hi, it is best to remove the canister when not being used, the gas doesn't leak out. So once you done using it just flip the leaver up then the canister isn't connected anymore.
@@tdtimm3619 Hey Timm, I finally bought it, tested it once when I bought it in July last year, but today was tryng to use it and the gass just makes noise and no fire

just purchased mine for R465 with R50 per gas canister. Thanks for this demo. Now Im comfortable to use it.
I agree. An amazingly effective little stove.
Great for cooking during load shedding too
Great video. Fitted canister wrong. Lol. Yes that can happen. Got the hang of it eventually. Thank you.
Thanks for the upload, it was very helpful.

Glad the video was helpful.
Lol I fell for the same trick today, even worse I tried to light it with matches. I was so heartbroken, till I went on UA-cam for help
I also returned one and replaced it. But even though i turn right down, nothing happens. Can hear a click, and can hear the gas flow, but no ignition
Thank you. You are a lifesaver. I almost sent mine back. The key is the ‘click’ when igniting the stove.
Thank you. Told me exactly what I need to know

Lol me too that rand made me happy🤣
Hi does it make a sound after connecting the can
Hi. Is it save to use in doors during load shedding? What about any gas fumes?
Hi yes we use ours all the time in the kitchen now with load shedding and we don't have issues with gas fumes.
Should you cover that hole? My husband does as he don't want oil to get in there when cooking
Is it possible to use LP gas from big tanks

Hey only a pleasure. Unfortunately not but they reasonably cheap.
Great video thanx! Load shedding is killing my tea addiction...
Ya same, can't go with out my coffee. Thanks

I nearly lit it up with a matches 😂😂😂🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️
So glad you didn't 🙈🙈🙈🙈
thanks very helpful
I have used mine frequently and am only on my second can of gas
Can you hook up a normal gas tank on to this we've got one ,but on the side of the burner there's another outlet
I like that one where is I want to buy

Hi there I just git my Alva gas stove will i be able to use any gas canisters or must it be from the brand?
Hi no you can use anybrand just as long as the top is the same
Hi there. Are all 220g canisters the same? Like can you use the canisters across brands?
Hi yes I think you can, as long as they have that little notch on the top where it locks in.
@@tdtimm3619 thank you for the swift response!
Mine won't ignite, what might be the problem?
If it's still new I would recommend taking it back.
I bought mine few months ago and it won't ignite. What could be wrong😢
Hi, it could be the flint on the ignitor, but I suggest taking it back for them to replace.
Thks for sharing
So one of those gas canisters went up from R35 to R116 in just two years... my goodness
Anyone selling that canister for more than R55 is to be avoided. Beware of dodgy listings.
I just bought the bush baby burner for R280 and the bush bay canister was R36.99 at Shoprite
☹️ I'm struggling to put that gas thingy
Do you have to remove the canister after cooking?
Yes it's just safer to do so
Nice thanks, how long does the small canister lasts?
It lasts about 4 to 5 days, that's with us boiling water in the morning and the cooking on it in the evening
@@tdtimm3619 Wow I need it for that cos m scared ths weekend we might have loadshedding n it will b cold. Thanks for the promt response

@@lmwandla did you turn the knob all the way that it clicks? Also what I find is I sometimes need to click it a few times before it takes.
Thanks five days is more than enough
Kak illustration bro
What did you find so kak about it?
The nearly 60 other comments seem to say otherwise.
Lets see your great video on the subject then?!
