Lisa my name is Jeanette and I've been following you since child number 6 or 7 and I Love watching your videos. My question is this,,Is the Birch mattresses good for people who suffer from arthritis??
Your channel is completely misleading as a cooking channel with no kids around etc . Your channel should be about mothering because who you are and what you are is spending the majority of your day looking after 8 children. You should be sharing your family, talking to us about how you do it,giving advice. Teaching and sharing about being a mother and entertaining your kids and multiple bath times every night and putting so many young kids to bed at the same time etc. that is your true life.
You and your sister filming videos with no kids around and always alone. What lies
Not cooking the same meals over and over and over and over weekly.
Question re the birch mattresses. Are they treated with a fire retardant?
@cmk01 wow ....
I’m
Just a tiny detail about plants. You mentioned enjoying them. You were potting your plants in seed starting mix. That’s not going to work for your plants. There is no nutrients in seed mix. What you need is potting soil. Potting soil will give your lovely plants a healthy place to root and support growth. Your home is lovely and your channel is and wonderful inspiration
Yes, this! Seed starting mix is sterile so seeds don’t “dampen off” and die. But you always have to up-pot to potting mix for fertility. Rather than repotting, you can probably get away with fertilizing your pots. Get a LIQUID fertilizer, because it will make the nutrients immediately available. Or, you can simply re-pot in potting mix. All the different mixes are really confusing. 😘
@@aileenbell6750great info,I had no idea!! I’m new to gardening and seed starting. Thank you for this information!!
I am watching this video while I wait for my sourdough focaccia bread to come out of the oven.
Your videos are so special. I really enjoy watching them. I hope to be able to get better at making videos for my own UA-cam channel.
Yep, and you could add some slow release plant food to the pots now that they're already planted up, if you want! 😊
What a sweet surprise to hear you mention us in this beautiful spring video. I burst out laughing when you mentioned your boys climbing our scaffolding, because we still joke about that and the time one of your boys started climbing our windmill. Having all girls is so different. Who knows maybe the Lord will give us a boy one day, then we might need to stop leaving the eggs out.
Had three boys and they are different. Hope the Lord Blesses you with one. Never had a girl. Boys are dare devils. Peace!
I nearly choked when Lisa said you put baskets of eggs on your stairs! I have five boys and two girls, all ages 8-2. I can imagine all the eggs broken on the steps. The onky way we'd fi d out is when someone goes sliding down the steps on all the goo.
@@BustlingHome You might understand what she means if you saw our farmhouse and all the children that live here.
I have over 100 houseplants. My husband says he lives in the jungle, but with our winters that seem to stick around for 6 months, the greenery inside brings me joy and it’s cheaper than cluttered home decor.
My dream but I can't keep a plant alive
@@tinafisher-mf6db well I’m hit or miss honestly. I’ve killed my fair share, trust me😂. I find the easiest ones are most hoya or philodendron, if you live in a drier climate. Those tend to adapt really well. If you live in a humid climate, any plant will thrive except cactus. They key is usually do not over water and give enough light. I hope one day you can find a little green thumb and have your dream. 😬
That sounds beautiful 😍
Gave away my houseplants in hopes of keeping a tiny bed of edibles alive.
@@autismenlightenment I want to grow a tiny edible garden, but it’s going to be a while. I fight off the deer, rabbit, squirrel and gophers. Need secured, raised beds….one day! …..hope yours does well.
I love seeing another mom of a big family making it all work! It can be so tempting to think that it's impossible to have the beautiful house with lots of littles running around, but you do such a great job 😊
Watching and listening to your vlog is like having the best cup of coffee for the day and being surrounded by all good things in life.
The dollar tree has some beautiful spring dishes out with matching glasses, cups, bowls and square platter. They’re white with pretty blue flowers.
Lisa, you are such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your life and home with us!
My thoughts exactly. Lisa is an inspiration to everyone who follows her. God has blessed her so much 🙏🙏✝️
I’m a florist, and it’s amazing how pretty and real the real touch flowers look in arrangements. Your white tulips look absolutely real in that vase. Nice touches to your beautiful home with the extra touches makes you feel like it’s really spring.
Changing stuff around does give such a freshness to your home. We decided to switch our living room with our dining room. The flow of our house after 18 years makes so much more sense now! We also washed the walls and gave it a fresh coat of paint. It's so beautiful now. Thanks for an inspiring video.
I love those kinds of projects!
Not sure why I get so sentimental when I watch your beautiful videos. I love what you’ve done with your beautiful farmhouse, and how you continue to inspire. The entryway is so cozy and pretty, and reflects well off of the sage wallpaper, and black and white prints. I’ve loved all of your Spring ideas, and will incorporate them. I just absolutely love your vlog- been watching a long long time-thanks for sharing your home- blessings Lisa! 😊
Shopping your own home is So therapeutic…. I did that during Covid…..I changed decor from room to room…It took away some of the anxiety and frustration that was going on
'Just go buy some more plants.... I'm giving you permission.'
EPIC.
🌱💚
Gosh, I just love how cozy and warm your home feels! The rich wood tones in your furniture… ❤❤
I was going to comment about how inspiring this video is (and it absolutely is, I'm having a wonderful morning after watching) but then I ended up laughing so hard at telling wet muddy boys to go straight to the bathroom 😂 I literally just got done telling mine that already and it's not even 11 am! I love seeing the inspirational beauty and realness mixed together. I hope to be this kind of woman to the younger girls around me one of these days ❤
Everything looks beautiful. If I opened a door or window here in Vermont we would freeze and a ton of snow would cover the floor. Living vicariously through you! Thanks for sharing.
This video was gorgeous. The two wet boys running I side as mom said " straight to the bathroom made me LOL😅! The beautiful rain took my breath away. As always, I admire your talent for making these incredible videos. Thank you Lisa❤❤❤❤❤
thank you!
Thank you for another great video. My plant died after almost 9 years and I felt like I should now just get a fake one. I needed to hear what you said about getting a new plant and not having guilt. I will go get a fresh, new plant😊
Gosh, your house always looks so fresh and beautiful all year round. Thank you for sharing the beauty.
YES!! I’m older, and I’ve learned to curate items and swap things out as my mood changes, or if I get bored. I’m increasingly disabled from an autoimmune illness so I’m home a good deal. It’s lovely to see “different” items from time to time. Charity shops have some beautiful things for very little money. I grew up with 5 siblings…your family is so fun. Happy Spring! 🌷🩷
I use to be the one who bought new stuff every season. And I have realized that just cleaning and decluttering is so much better. I love yr videos
The Lord provides..! That is so true..! He is the BEST Gardener..!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The LORD provides a beautiful space outdoors! Amen. I am so excited for our wildflowers to start popping up in northern Canada soon
Yes!
I feel inspired by this video. Hearing the kids and yourself talk at the end was refreshing to know there isn't a instrumental track playing permanently in your real life 😂
Thank you for the video @FarmhouseonBoone
Omgosh your entryway is gorgeous Lisa!!!😍😍😍
Wow!! Such a beautiful refresh. I completely agree with you about using what you have and consciously choosing new accents that are more versatile. & A lot of times, less is more! How you mentioned new plants - I experience the same guilt with spending $100 per season to add new flowers, perennials, pumpkins, etc depending on the season. My way of making the decision smarter is to make sure I’m getting flowers that I can start again next year, such as ranunculus. My plan is to add them to my young flower garden! Also, baking the pumpkins that line my steps to make purée, lasting me through the winter. This creates so much more value to items that seem expendable after one season. It’s definitely more work but is super rewarding!
Your home is so beautiful! Love the beige in the entry way. For the last few days we’ve dropped back in the 50’s here in the South. Thankfully it’s sunny today. Love hearing your kids in the background. God bless your precious family! 😀❤️
Thank you!
Oh my goodness, the steam from the fresh focaccia, it looks so good!!!
When we lived in North Carolina, I too would open all the windows and doors in April and October, it was so lovely. One night we were surprised to be awoken by our neighbor's cat when she jumped up on our bed at 3:00 am though!
Haha, that's an amazing story!
Haha...what an experience!!!
Change things around our home often, it feels great having a new fresh look. Great video.
So very true the Lord provides us natural beauty. You have a beautiful country home. Many blessings.
Oh how I love your videos Lisa! Between these and your podcast, not only have I learned so much nutritionally, but they are good reminders to enjoy the process of homemaking each day! Bless you and your family!
I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you.
Loved the vase of tulips….
Thank you...I have sure been enjoying them!
This is some of the best content you have ever put out. You have successfully brought happiness to me during an emotionally difficult day and I thank you for this. ❤
I'm so glad!
Those lit candles scare me with your Littles!
Love your home!!!
Set a specific day that you water your plants. They usually die because they're not watered. If they're brown they're not watered often enough and if they're yellow they're water too often. That should help!
I have water Wednesdays for my plants.
I love your purple🪻🪻 flower wreath on your front door...
Thank you for the intimate look into your beautiful home! Better Homes and Gardens would do well to pay you a visit!! ♥️♥️♥️🌷🌷🌷
The front door wreath is gorgeous❤ Sitting all the flowers and plants around brings me joy in my home, real & fake. I've gone out and cut tulips, iris', wild daisies and added them to vases. Yesterday I bought a bunch of baby's breath, sit then on my table and will eventually dry them out and continue to decorate with them. The lilies will bloom soon, the dianthus is blooming and pig course the daffodils. I always have my porch covered in flowers and i know its almost time (making sure we don't have another frost) but we're moving soon so I'm going to wait. The scoring on that loaf was so pretty! And the Charcuterie board looked delicious😋 Enjoyed the video..TFS!
That beautiful white rocking chair needs to be painted a dark color to pop on that lil porch
Love the green color on your door-so cheerful and springy.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful as always.
Amen the Lord provides all the beauty.
But you do such a wonderful and honoring job to him by your Homemaking. That is where he lives is right there in your home to do his work ❤
Lisa your home looks lovely! Fresh and springy. I love all of the fresh flowers you added.😊
I never realized that your wood stove faced your kitchen. If that doesn't say "Welcome" then I don't know what does. It's fun to change things up. I don't do it as much as I used to but when I was your age I was forever moving things around. I love the color you've brought in. I feel like a person could just come in and feel at home.
Yes, I love the view of the wood stove through the kitchen doors..
Outstanding as always ♥️
Thank you
Patricia
Beautiful Spring changes! I am glad you are enjoying Spring. I live in W.Va. along the Ohio River and currently have flooding conditions in this area. Hoping for Spring soon though!
This was so pretty… I like how you mostly use what you have to spruce up. Also I think it’s best to see just little side glimpses of your children and to hear the chatter in the back ground not full on continued showing their faces etc.(You do it so well ).. I have that with my grands. That focaccia looks wonderful almost like a pizza with the sauce.
@farmhouseonboone Lisa, I'm going through all your older videos and all I can say is Thank You. Your voice is my sanctuary. Things are so cray cray right now and you seem to me my calm in my storm. So again, Thank you so much.... For all that you do. Much love 💕 Grace
Thank you so much!
I wish I had a house like yours! I LOVE it so much
thank you!
I find a good spring cleaning helps me get creative. I know I have enough decor things so swap out your textiles and shop your house before buying more.
Your home is so beautiful!! You are such an inspiration!! Thanks for sharing. God Bless 🙏🤗
Thank you so much!
More oil in a dough makes it less chewy, more tender, so it depends on what you’re trying to achieve.
Your homestead is always so beautiful. Yes pairing back is always my thing to do . Love the eggs on display.
Your home is so beautiful! I love the details and that staircase! Love it! 😍
Thank you so much!!
Your home looks lovely and cozy! Really like the spring wreath!
Thanks so much! 😊
Why don’t you raise the curtains at your kitchen sink so that the bottom skims the ledge. It just seems cluttered and off when the curtains hang over the ledge.
April showers bring May Flower’s! 🌹🌷💐🪻🌼Exciting season!
Nice home refresh!
Everything looks fresh & inviting!❤🫶🏻
Thank you! 🤗
Our first small tiny flock still in molt so they arent laying - plus super stressed out due to the 2 roosters we have being too much on them so we isolated the older ladies in with our new big flock - we are praying they all start to feel nice and cozy and get back to normal.
Love the spring decor! Only because you mentioned dead plants...check your potting soil to see if it has nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. If it does your plants won't need to be fed for a while, if it doesn't throw a little fertilizer in there.
Your videos are like a breath of fresh air
Hi Lisa!I love your home, is very very nice home! Thanks honey for sharing this.We love you, and your beautiful childrens!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
@@FarmhouseonBoone You are so welcome my sweet dear!💐♥️💚☘️💚☘️🇮🇪🇮🇪
I would love to see these home decor updates on your blog! I went there today and noticed many of the photos of your home are a bit older. Your improvements are beautiful and inspiring (and thus I wished to peak at photos)! I'm also curious how you have improved on your kid's bedrooms. Thanks, Lisa! You are one of my best friends (that I've never met.) 😉 ❤
Happy spring family on Boone ❤
So inspiring!
Another wonderful video, thank you
Wonderful Video! Thanks!
Great show!😊
I am currently moving into a new apartment. It's an old victorian farmhouse that is converted into 5 different units. I want to make my space have the actual and farmhouse look, but also function. I'm making my own Dutch curtains for the windows as well as planning how I'm going to decorate the small areas. I want to get into more baking and cooking more than just the same 5 meals. It's hard when juggling a 9-5.
Maybe pick just one thing to learn....practice that one thing until you get it exactly right and you understand it....then add on the next skill etc. That way you are only working on one thing at a time.
Loved this! TFS
Love all your decor choices
Hey, I wanted to let y'all know that the rearranging thing totally works! I just gave the counter/shelf above my kitchen sink a good wipe down, got rid of the smaller stuff on it, rearranged the larger stuff and it feels like a totally different space!
Love your touches of spring! Thank you 😊
Thanx for the motivation, tips and tricks
Your home is so beautiful and cozy 💗💗💗
Thank you!! 😊
love the color of the foyer!
Your house is beautiful! It has great bones but you and your family have done a wonderful job at honoring its history and making it a home
Beautiful!
Good advice about decorating but I also believe there’s nothing wrong with buying something new
Instant inspiration- thank you!
Yay spring is here 🌱
I love the spring decor! Lovely just simply lovely. ❤
Perfect Friday night!❤
I can’t tell you how wonderful your video was today! Just what I needed. Thank you so much
Lovely Lisa!! My whole vibe is reusing, recycling, moving things around, digging in the attic, etc., or sewing things of course. I think doing that makes a more interesting home, and it is also more environmentally friendly than constantly hitting up amazon or the big box stores☺️ I don’t use any faux flowers but love adding plants, and whatever spring thing is blooming☺️
Your home is just beautiful, very springy!❤️🌺
HAPPY FRIDAY IN APRIL Lisa, family, and fur babies. Your home is very ALLURING. STTB
Blessings to your family. I so look forward to seeing your posts...
Love those curtains! Sweet and simple!

I could see daylight around a bottom left panel in your front door. You should caulk that!😊
Your house always looks so welcoming.
