INFANTRYMAN'S GUIDE: ENEMY WEAPONS PART I
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 лип 2016
- This is the first video of my new series Infantryman’s guide. In this video we will look at some of the more commonly used small arms by terrorist organizations and hostile nations. As a forward deployed combat soldier, sailor, airmen, or Marine, you should have a basic understanding on how these firearms function. The reason for this is so that you know the capabilities of your enemy and if need be, you can utilize these weapons to possibly enhance your units combat effectiveness or possibly save your own life.

What is the demographic your video is targeting ?
Hello. So your vid is kinda inaccurate but this is just nitpicking. So basically the AMD stands for "autómata módosított desszantfegyver". So basically " automatic modified paratroopers weapon". Again you weren't all wrong there tank crews used it too.
This feels like it should be a pre-deployment mandatory training video; just awesome!
Thanks brother, that's what I'm going for. Something for our guys to watch prior to going down range.
I believe infantry soldiers are trained on this stuff. Gotta know the enemy weapons so you know how to fight them and use them in case you need to. Definitely need to know how to use an AK if you wanna be a soldier. The most common weapon system in the world
@@Brent0331this is good stuff sir from a man who hasn't been abroad.
We'll guys let me tell you this video was a major logistical time consuming pain the ass. Additionally some how I left out the damn PSL too. If you want a video on that rifle you'll have to watch my original weapons video. Hope you all enjoy.
Excellent job Brent!
No words! What A wonderful Job ! holy detail! wow you do it best Brent. always a fan and as always Thank you for your service and your continued service to our country!
good stuff, thank you for all the work.
dont sweat the PSL too much its just an elongated AK with a smaller magazine lol awesome job on the video ! thanks a million !
The Immortal
But with a garbage pencil barrel so half the accuracy.
I was very bitter how we were allowed to bring absolutely NOTHING back home as trophies. I even had a nice set of Russian binoculars and night vision goggles, and the bastards forced me to give that up, too. Years later, I was neighbors with an Army reservist, and he showed me a whole box of those bayonets he brought back, including a few other items I won't mention.
This is one of the most unique and high quality warfare oriented channels on UA-cam and I appreciate all the effort you put into these videos.
I appreciate that bud.
Sterling SMG
Just in case you encounter Imperial Stormtroopers in the field.
Or time traveling british soldiers that mistake you for nazis
Baker Tankersley Sterling wasn't used in WW2.
Baker Tankersley *An Irish person. (it was rarely used in WW2)
@Yeh Boii
It wasn't used at all during WW2. The Sterling SMG did not enter service with the British army (or anybody else) until 1953.
Baker Tankersley I think you thinking about the Sten SMG.
Your uniform looks like Battlefield 2 on lowest settings.
Good video otherwise.
i was thinking FO4 Military Fatigue Uniform. :)
Coffice they look like pajamas made to look like fatigues
Coffice true
Looks like ATAC-S FG camo.

This channel is aweesome! Love his vids! :v
no, it deserves less
Some supplemental information for you guys: The PKM CAN be loaded brass to the grass, the rounds DO NOT have to be belly up as I stated in this video to load it. I went to the Marine Corps foreign weapons instructor course last year and learned that the machine gun can be loaded utilizing both methods (Brass to the grass and belly up). Prior to attending that course I had only ever seen the weapon loaded using a belly up method so I naturally assumed that was the only way it can be loaded since western related machine guns such as the M240 and M60 can only be loaded one way. Yet another plus for the PK series machine guns!
Roger that. Since the PKM uses a cartridge remover arm and claw to remove the cartridge from the belt to the rear before it is fed forward into the chamber. Unique and interesting design.
i.imgur.com/ZS2Q7rH.jpg
This system should also allow the use of the OG cloth belts. I would say those are rare to meet outside surplus stores however.
this is the classic machinegun design push through machineguns came about later.
You forgot the Type 56 AK47 its also used by insurgents in iraq
Very professional, watched the whole thing.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed.
Comrade Senpai that be how the Marines do
Hey tachanka you have almost the same channel's subs that i have lolo
*Pulls out "Rifle Grenade"* JESUS are you sure that's not a damn mortar round!?
StormTrooper T3114 "NATO standard"
“Standard rifle grenade” when you want to delete a building
Thank you for your service, I'm truly grateful for the guys who have the courage to do what you did
Appreciate it.
Best educational video I have seen. Outstanding effort to help Our boys going D.R.
Thanks
Totally agree
What's D.R.?
The props for the blaster rifles used by the Stormtroopers in the original Star Wars films were made from Sterling submachine guns.
Good afternoon from Canada, Brent
I stumbled across your channel this morning; I've got an old Mos-Nag and was searching for general information.
With all of the other channels across UA-cam, I'm quite surprised that you don't have more subscribers. So many channels on UA-cam are presented in a narcissistic manner, with the narrator/presenter putting far too much flair, "look at me" and anecdotal nonsense into the video, thus taking up a massive amount of the viewer's time.
Certainly not the case with you. You've made some fantastic presentations, and your delivery of information is great. I really appreciate how succinct, to the point and professional you are in these videos. It would or should be clear to the viewer that you were/are quite obviously a very professional soldier. I can only imagine that your attitude, calmness and professionalism were key to your unit during your deployments. Your "boots" are most certainly "on the ground", sir.
Thank you for taking the time to put together these effective presentations and sharing your hard-won knowledge with us.
Well done sir.
I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching. I'm glad you found the information helpful. I'm actually going to put together a new rendition of this video some time this year. I've been accumulating new weapons to add and wanted to re-shoot some of the takes I did in this so stay tuned! In regards to how many subs I have, I have not actively sought out subscribers like many other people. I simply just put my videos out there. I've found that model to be more enjoyable on my end because it does a good job of keeping the non-sense away and the people who are watching my videos are generally looking for the material i'm putting out. Thanks again for watching and commenting brother.
You're very welcome, Brent. It makes sense to me that by not actively seeking out subscribers by way of bells, whistles and "Hollywooding" you ultimately end up with serious viewers; I hadn't thought of it that way. An excellent strategy for weeding out the Armchair COD General.
I certainly do look forward to more of your videos, or updates of existing ones as such.
Thanks for the response man; you've got a new follower and I'll have eyes on your channel. Cheers from a Northern brother.
Owe you an apology.
When I made the above comment, I'd not yet watched any of your other presentations; that being said, I probably should have somewhat clued in from this presentation.
I'd said :" It would or should be clear to the viewer that you were/are quite obviously a very professional soldier".
That statement should have read "very professional Marine".
Sorry boss.
Your camo looks like a video game on low quality textures. It's a cool look for blending in.
Its ATACS FG
Mike G exactly what I was going to say
dude wow! that shit is intense. its like low quality textures.
I just posted a supplemental video to this about the PSL. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/rUUhi3fFkvA/v-deo.html
Thankyou Brent,
Avid firearm enthusiast here.
Honestly one of the best videos on youtube.
Totally enthralled from start to finish..
I own a lot of those Soviet weapons. Great description!
Thanks
Thanks bud.
That guy's Slav squat though
You pertaining to me? lol....I love my rice paddy prone. lol
Lol
I was going to say... It is also called an Asian Squat and the guy in the video looks Asian>
The massive effort put into these videos shows, being able to view this all for free is amazing. Please don’t stop making videos, if I lived in the states I would be 100% coming to one Shepard
You the man. You put a lot of work into this. Well done. Thank you for your service.
First off Thank You for your service. That said I've personally used a lot of these weapons shown and I greatly appreciate what you are doing with these videos.
You should have pointed out that F1 grenades generate way more shrapnel than RGD-5 or M67 and therefore, in ideal conditions should only be used while in cover. Since it was created as a defensive grenade that should be only tossed out of a trench. Otherwise, a great vid.
I was utilizing the MG42/M3 in a north european army back when we still used these, and you would lie in a straight line from the gun, not like that posture from a comic book. And you would push the gun forward making the support legs lean forward to prevent your aim from jumping and get kicked backwards - it spits 7.62mm at 1200 rounds a minute. In a tripod the cone from full auto beyond 1000m is max. 1 meter, so I higly recommended going prone if you see one of these.
Thanks for your comment. I was a machine gunner in the U.S. Marine Corps in my earlier years. We used a M240G medium machine, we too would push forward into the bipod to create shoulder pressure to help stabilize the weapon to create a better cone of fire. The problem I have with this M53 (and it might be just mine, but I doubt it), is the legs pull back, if you push forward the bipods will fall and the gun goes straight to the dirt. Maybe that was just a feature on the M53 and not the M3 you used, or maybe my bipods are just defective in that matter I don't know. In regards to the shooting position, we push out our legs to form a somewhat of a human tripod for stability.
Amazing vid. You guys should be invited to make the same video for the armed forces with all the genuine captured, fully auto and such weaponry. Very educational. Hopefully this might save a life one day.
VivaLaPol I'd gladly do that too.
From 1 grunt to another, thanks for the channel brother. Appreciate the rifles & pistols & other material you show/speak about.
Awesome video. Watched every minute of it. I don't even do that with porn. And that's my favorite kind of video.
Ha! Thanks brother.
That g3 with Folding stock looks like an very oversized mp5
Linus Bleckert Both we're manufactured by H&K.
Thank you for the time, effort and dedication to bring this series to fruition.
Thanks man
Just found your channel and this video.
It is an outstanding comprehensive overview of small arms. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into this, and it shows.
Thank you!
Thanks, I hope to actually improve on this video very soon, so if haven't already make sure you subscribe and stay tuned. I have gotten my hands on more training aids and weapons to include in a new version of this.
Aw the M70 Npap Zastava now that's one of the best AK's you can get.
I'm loving ur A TACS
Sir, thank you for your time making this video! I learned a lot ! Also thank you for your service ! There was a guy which appeared to be from Vietnam era that put out a few videos on tactics and patrolling, then he stop. I was hoping to find someone like you to continue where he left off. Very glad to find your channel!
Thanks man, there will be more to come.
unbelievable. this is the most detailed and informative video of Soviet/Eastern Bloc weapons I have ever seen. Kudos to you and your crew who made this possible and did all the work. I see great potential for this to be used as a training aide for the world. Thank you.
Thanks bud, I appreciate it.
haha...where did you get a PKM and MG53? Totally jealous..
The M53 is made by Wise Lite Arms, I picked it up several years ago. The PKM is just a display piece and nothing more, I wish I had a fully functional one but unfortunately its restricted to just making my man cave look bad ass. Same with the RPGs.
Brent0331 Either way...awesome collection man.
Thanks brother, I'm always trying to sneak in new purchases under my wife's nose, its hard work.
Brent0331 haha
Brent0331 i feel you lol!
S us for Skladnoy - directly translates into Folding or Foldable (both words are not mutually exclusive in current use). U stands for Ukorochennyi. - means Shortened.
19:53 lol The picture of the guy's face in the middle in the FAL intro.
Good point on the enfields. I was in Sangin in 2010 and we definitely saw those almost as much as AKs
50:30 "Brass to the grass", "Copper to the topper". That's how I remember for the PKM
That's a good one.
Sick camou, mate. We use ATACS FG as well over here when playing airsoft for days and nights. Unbelievably effective!
I'm an old. 11B from the army and your video was outstanding!!! I was not fortunate enough to see battle serving as I did from 76 to 82. You've answered questions that I have had over the years. Especially with regards to the loading and firing of the RPG-7. Great work, please give us more!
Thanks brother, one of these days i'm going to get around to finishing my remake on this. Its a lot of work.
You sir have just gained a new subscriber. Thank you for your service and all the information you are putting out.
Thanks brother, welcome aboard. Stay tuned, I plan on doing an update to this video including a few more weapons and reshooting some scenes to make this a better guide. I've got a few projects ahead of this one but its on the list.
Good lad. Covered all the commie weapons I faced in Africa.
Bryan Kirk Rhodesia?
Where in Africa?
You were SADF?
Bryan Kirk They are commie but DAMN are they reliable!
Make Rhodesia great again
9:28 that slav squat though.
Thanks, buddy! Highly informative video, great editing. Short simple and to the point.
Thanks man, this video was/is the biggest pain in the ass for me to date to edit. AND EVEN AFTER THAT, I'm still planning on redoing this video lol.
Sterling smgs look like those blasters star wars troopers use lmao, i want one.. (i have an obsession with side loading guns and looove the FG-42)
They were based on it
Wonder what the main bad guy rifle would be if the AK had never been made.
Probably rocks
If there hadn't been a Russian mass production weapon in this non-ak timeline, then it would've been the FN FAL most likely
That's actually a very interesting point.
Whatever the US government sold them to rebel with a decade earlier...
I think about SKS
You got a good slav squat
Out standing video. Great review and introduction to many weapons I have had no exposure to. Thank you.
+calrenman Appreciate it, glad I could help.
Great, informative video. Thanks and thank you for your service.
Awesome video
And nice to see a Partizan-M suit :D Are you going to make a camouflage test on that one?
Brent and Waffenmacht asked me to make a vid on the Partisan effectiveness over on my side of town. I'll be doing one soon unless they get the same camo and do one before me.
On the 98 mausers you dont have to remove the stripper clip the bolt can knock it out
very good video, watched from start to finish. well done Brent :)
Great video! Thank you, appreciate your passion and attention to detail!
Thanks
This video reminds me of the opening to the movie "Green Berets"
Yup... love that scene.
wow, that is nice info thankyou for showing to me well-done thankyou.
Appreciate it.
good video! learned alot! and very intresting listening to what you two know!, thanks for your time on this video man!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the kind words.
glad you brought up the fact that many of the weapons being used by Terry and Izzy are in fact ours'
Is better to know a unnecessary skill than to need an unknown skill.
We were in AFG during the same period Brent, 11/12. I was in Zabul Province, FOB Smart. Do you miss the poo pond at KAF yet?
Got to say, that's an impressive collection. Thanks for all the intel.
Glad I could help.
Exactly what kind of video I have been looking for! Cool vids bro!
Glad I could help.
The sterling smg looks like the stormtroopers gun
Reuben Hunt the otherway around. The storm trooper gun (E-11) is a dressed up sterling.
Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947, more commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle, a weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple nine pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood, it doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It will shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy even a child can use it, and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin, Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure; no one was lining up to buy their cars.
actually rus have more ak74m then ak47 in stock
around 10kk
You're not even going to mention you stole this from Nicholas Cage are you lol
Darryn Brown I'm trying to see how many people will know where it's from
+Jason Armstrong I knew at "nine pound" lol
The Sturmgewehr 44, or the STG, in my opinion, is better than the AK47, AKM, or other variants. The thing that seals the deal with the STG is how when you ADS, the back sight aligns perfectly with your field of vision. Not to mention it competes at range with the AK47, and with ammo count, although most of time putting 25 in a STG mag is better than 30 since it prevents major jamming.
Have to say, these are the video's I always wanted to see. Well done. Semper Fi.
Thanks brother.
Excellent video. Very well done and very informational. Thank you for posting.
Thanks brother.
Dudes got a huge weed plant growing on the top left.
If you have access to a 1919, I would throw that into the next one. I remember we captured a 1919 with clothe belts in Iraq in 2004.
I do have a 1919, I have only seen a couple photos of them being used in recent conflicts. I'm sure they're out there but probably not very wide spread. This video was already an hr long so I had to cut where I could.
Texas in July, gotta love it. Thanks for the vids. Hail from Tx
You have such a cool channel dude! Very thorough and informative!
Thanks brother
This should be renamed to "A terrorists guide to his weapons!"
BrandywineCamack exactly. this is better training then what they already have. Just sword shit XD
BrandywineCamack nope just knowledge for our guys
no silly, they're not smart enough to do research. Seriously they think the number on the ramp/ladder sights is power of the weapon and the higher number is more powerful
And for the AKS-74U, the sights are not on yards, but meters. We use metric, not imperial.
Gonna watch this video till the end to point out more mistakes. ;)
thanks for your service ,thanks for the info.watched all
Thank you sir for your service and commitment to our country we need more men like you in this new world. Thank you for all the info. I love the old quote (you might know it lol) “knowing is half the battle”.
that's a lot of guns! hehe
Yes sir, I can thank the GI Bill and Post 911 GI bill for paying for 70% of them.
More than he needs but not as many as he wants. Long live the 2A & Semper Fi!
47:10 , it was at this moment we knew, twerking was reinvented
I love these informative videos, thank you for your making this.
Thanks brother, I appreciate the support.
that m53 is sexy
If you kept that sks bayonet razor sharp, would it not be easy to cut yourself holding and handling the rifle?
They're intentionally dull for that reason, that and the fact that they're non detachable.
Dont sharpen anything, its a bayonet, not a sword.
+waffenmacht you dont sharpen swords ._.
they break ez when sharp
talhoffer.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-sharp-were-medieval-swords.html
waffenmacht "as sharp as a kitchen knife" mostly at the top-edge, everything else is dull since you dont cut with it
i do medieval fencing + read it until the end, there are techniques of grabbing the blade with a bare hand and they are VERY common
Excellent video boys. Thanks for all the hard work. And Brent0331, love the no bs channel. Good useful info.
I appreciate it brother.
Thanks for putting this video out. It is awesome.
Appreciate it.
Ill probably get hate for saying this, but those AK's are fantastic weapons. I would much rather be issued one of those, than these goddamn m4's. Just hope and pray for our brothers and sisters that the SCAR will replace the m4 sooner rather than later.
shallow bay the AK is garbage compared to and M4/M16
@@Eli_G454 Haha no
Oh really prove me wrong. What makes the AK so much better than the M16/AR15 platform
I assume every COD soldier watched this video
Love the video. I love my Yugo SKS....reliable, reliable and reliable. Thank you for introducing me to One Shepherd....maybe I will see you in 2020
Great video. Love the information on enemy weapons. I'm very knowledgeable on The AK 47 or AKM. But its still very cool to watch an hear about enemy weapons.
Thanks brother, I'm currently working on a newer improved video of this, with more weapon systems added to the mix. Hopefully I can get it done before the end of the year.
Length settings in yards on russian weapons? No
hardok686 meters
weed behind you
Giant Ragweed is not cannabis.
Jarheads4Yeshua he said Weed and not cannabis 😉
Learned a lot through this video. Thanks a lot for describing how to use each and every one of those weapons.
Thanks for watching.
A brilliant video - I appreciate the work that went into making this video
Thanks, I'm looking to actually re-film this with more weapons and information in the near future, stay tuned.
Why do the badguys always get the cool stuff???
w̮̮e̮̮e̮̮d̮̮ i̮̮n̮̮ b̮̮a̮̮c̮̮k̮̮g̮̮r̮̮o̮̮u̮̮n̮̮d̮̮
Giant Ragweed, not cannabis.
Thanks for teaching your country's military troopers how to use their enemy's weapons against them in a situation of extreme survival where your own ammo and that of your buddies' might be running low. It's very important if not vital to use every tactical opportunity to your advantage.
Thanks for making this video, it was very informative. Also, thank you for your service.
Belligerent Instigator Appreciate it brother.
Lesson: Do not invade other countries
I thought it was against regulation to pick up enemy arms for use in combat?
Equinsu ocha! nobody will care if you're in combat and had to use it.
Equinsu ocha! Isis has done a lot of war crime, so why should we use rule if they don't?
well an army cav. scout 1st tour and MP 2nd tour who was stationed over seas told me that 1. you get court marshaled for discharging munitions at incapacitated combatants. And 2. The use of an enemy firearms is against regulation for two reasons. a, booby traps and b, faulty discharges...
1:11:55 It might be said that "you can not utilize an enemy weapon". In combat the situation may arise where you must or should. In those situations I don't give a damn what some "regulation says"
***** The first ticket I ever got in my life was from Officer Brent :(
Excellent video, lots of great information presented in a clear manor, Thanks.
Thanks
Allot of very useful information here. well worth the time. Keep up the good work!
Thanks brother.
I'm a freedom loving American. My enemies come with the M4.
Matt verellen I am too! But mine come with shitty UA-cam comments and as a secondary, edginess.
So you're e at war with the US government? OK.
So....basically you are trying to live, but crazy people keep shooting up schools?
Nobody has shot up a school with an M4.
Read my comment? I didn't say anything about an M4 i Just know that people keep shooting in schools in America....
