Great product. Not here to pump it. Just to tell you every time I get into the Jeep, no matter the weather. It brings a smile to my face. For that its worth it.
I gotta admit Matt, when I first saw you show this on IG, my initial thoughts were rolling greenhouse. You’re gonna cook in there. I was also concerned about someone being able to break through the panel from a theft standpoint. However after seeing this video my opinion has changed. I’d try em. I’m still nervous about running them in the Summer, but I’m with Cara, seeing the rain while driving is cool, and they’d be amazing for viewing Fall foliage 🍁 here in New England.
I can't believe these are still a thing. Great idea but the price is outrageous!!! I'm all about modding your rig but I'd rather spend the money in gas... You'll get more bang for you buck that way.
OK you convinced me. You seem to still like the top after quite awhile later, so I ordered one for my 2008 Rubicon JKU. BTW JEEP50 will get anyone a $50 discount, which almost pays for shipping to SoCal ($60). I will give it a good test as we transition to summer weather. Right now it keeps going back and forth. Had the Jeep since new, and I used to drive around with the freedom tops off a lot, but got tired of the wind buffeting at freeway speeds. My other car is a convertible...I love to see the sky overhead, even when it's hot out!
Hey there! Met you and your girl in Conway at the theater. So I had the clearlidz on my JKU but man the exterior humps really distort the view out. I've asked clearlidz for a 2.0 version that is smooth so it won't distort the view out. They say it's for strength but we're not running over these things so I'm willing to sacrifice strength for a much much better view.
I've seen a few people having issues with tightening these and they end up cracking... I guess keep an eye on that overtime... as leaks inside probably won't be great.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures im just being honest lol. Thats my opinion. Now idc if someone is gay, if you want to love the same sex I got no problem with that, be happy. Just telling you if I saw someone with that hair and that jeep color forsure gay asf lol
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Hi Matt, my name is Ahmed and I’m thinking about getting a gladiator and just wanted to pick your brain if you don’t mind? I see setting up ones rig is a personal preference. I was looking at Expedition Overland channel and they have a PCOR three-quarter bed replacement made out of aluminum with built-in Redarc system on there Gladiator. I also took a look at 4×4venture channel and they have the RSI smart cab canopy bed replacement made out of steel which I’m thinking might be a little heavy. I would appreciate any opinions you might have on Gladiator Bed set ups vs Bed replacement options. Thank you 😊 Have a great day Ozark Overland Adventure Family 😊
@@ahmednesbitte4906 there’s so many options out there. We considered an RSI Smartcap for mine but I didn’t want my tent up that high and it wouldn’t fit in the garage. Me friend Shaun with The Story Till Now has an RSI on his and he loves it. Check out my video coming this Friday. I show off a new insert from Skinny Guy Campers and it’s freaking sweet. If I was starting over that may be the way I would go. PCORs are crazy cool but also crazy expensive.
Your neighbors must have thought, "he's lost it, look at him running over stuff in the driveway!" Sadly, our Sky One-Touch doesn't allow some of these cool mods.

Couldn't agree more!
That smile and laugh right before the driveshaft javelin launch was priceless.
I was having a little too much fun!!
Great video! Thank you. I laughed right out load with all the strength testing! I’m hooked.
Good to know you will be safe from flying driveshafts!!!
You never know. LOL

I really enjoy your review Matt. Wait for more!!!
This answered my question about if you could feel the suns warmth through the top and the slight greenhouse effect.
I’m sure a ton of us appreciate you rolling over the thing with your Jeep. Gave me chest pain but impressive lol
i was expecting the entire fence to fold over when you threw that driveshaft at it 😅
😂😂😂

But what you have money for clearlidz AND gas? LOL.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures ... I just got money for one... Either sit in my driveway and look cool OR look cool anyway in my Jeep and go places 😁
I'm with you the price for them Is absolute theft. Makes far more sense just to buy a sunrider for cheaper
how much r they?
@@yotagang3705 1500 plus tax and shipping. Almost the cost of a whole hard top

That thing is tuff
Bought myself this for early Xmass last year. $15 weather stripping taped all around the Lid before installing.
I live in the same town as you how much for the test top I would still run it on my Gladiator?
Not for that price no way on earth. However what I WOULD like to see is a solar panel replacement or something, now that would be awesome.
I have dibs on the first ones for testing... ps. SolarLidz (TM) *wink*
@RocklanderUSA whaaaaaaaaaaaaat
@RocklanderUSA that can’t be a thing… I Volunteer my jeep for testing
That would be awesome!
Interesting. But ill keep my sunrider
You had far too much fun trying to destroy that thing! 🤣 Made me smile for sure.
Great video. If I want to take this off and enjoy the sun will the Clearlidz fit all the way in the back
So where do you put your patches now?🤷🤔
In the back. lol
I think it would be better if it had a green tent or some other sun reflecting ability?
Hey Matt great vid! I’m actually interested in where you got the black inserts for the freedom panels. Does that hell with internal temperature?
Hotheads makes them. A few other choices too.
Mine are hotheads headliners.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures thank you!
I just bought the Hotheads for my Sahara 4xe. They should help with heat and improve the sound quality of the Alpine sound system.

Jeep take note for the next windshields please
Your'e not wrong!!
Curious how much different in temperature the inside gets from your wife’s Jeep vs your gladiator parked outside together.
What brand of luggage racks do you have on your JLU? Love that color, what is it called? Thanks,
Rhino Rack Backbone with the Platform. The color is Tuscadero Pearl.
entertaining video, it seems like it would protect you from debris on the hi way.
if i saw you driving this with that hair, my gaydar would be going off
That says a lot about you...

I thought it was a cool idea until I saw their price. HOLY CRAP! They must be infused with gold and diamonds. Not for me anymore. Still a great video
Turn your ride into a solar oven, Jen-ee-uss(like genius but wrong)
Nope. I said that in the video.
You spelled Oven wrong
😂😂😂 It's actually not bad in the summer.
Yes this is on my list, transforms the interior away from the "cave".
Donde lo puedo comprar?
Mission accomplished, you made this video so much fun to watch and as always very informative . Love it🙌🏽
Glad you enjoyed it!

I mean, it’s cool and all when they send you a free product and pay you to “review” it, but this product is extremely overpriced.
Then don't buy it.
Arizona camping and overlanding video needed
Agreed!!
I run my sun rider in the summer and run my clearlidz during the winter I love it
That's awesome!
lol the old tupperware run it over test
That’s wild LOL. This is good advertisement. 🤣🤣
Tell Cara to bring the puppy back to the camera, please?
Lots of Goose in this Friday's video.
Looks like a great mod, but I think I could put $1500 to better use somewhere else on my Jeep.
