The ending just reminds me of Annie Hall… without Rhapsody in Blue😝. Lifelong NYC/NJ resident, now just north in Westchester, and I just can’t live anywhere else. Except for Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong (pre takeover), London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Kyoto-wonderful places, inspiring and never boring, constantly evolving, and great food…don’t need anything else. Hope to run into you soon and welcome to my home! Just found your channel, immediately sub’d after a minute of watching one episode of great content!
Tony Stark’s robot helpers were Dum-E and U. U was the one making the video recordings, so, you’re in New York (home of Stark Tower) and recording videos, so I’d call it “U”.
I think Wall-E will be a great name for the camera haha. I also live in New York, hopefully I get to meet you some day. Amazing work as always buddy, you're an inspiration!
Welcome to the city - I lived there for 12 years or so back in the late 1980's to the late 90's. Brooklyn, Lower east side and the west side. I love going back to the east village and the lower east side - a lot of great...and not so great memories - I still find the area so photogenic especially since gentrification hasnt completely sucked the ethnicity and life out of these neighborhoods. I'm out on Long Island now but still work in the city - weekends I like to go in - Tribeca is also a great area to check out - I worked there back in the 90's as well - so much great history south of canal street if you know where to look. Enjoy!
Welcome to NYS! I am a little more upstate over here near Rochester, NY but glad to have ya. Just be careful out there, there are reasons I carry and shoot both 35mm as well as 9mm. But keep your eyes open, trust your gut and you'll be fine. Enjoy the snow and keep shooting!
My XT5 has been a workhorse since last March. Are you liking it? I love mine. Also the shot of the woman on the couch (black spots on red) is brilliant. Question: were you shooting 6400 ISO in the day? Do you do that normally?
I love NYC, but to visit - it’s ridiculously expensive, but yes, on business I’d roam the streets with my X100 until the wee hours and barely get 3 hours of sleep before going back into the office. I was a zombie. I’m sure my boss appreciated that 😆
Shooting video while trying to do photography is a pain in the a**.....I struggle with this myself doing my own youtube channel videos. I settled with a gopro with a collar mount around my neck so my hands are free.... Enjoy NY!!! Great video
Also just moved to NYC- been looking at your videos studying up as I foray into 35mm film w my point n shoot. If you ever host photo meetups I’ll be there!!
Awesome man, I just started shooting street, I normal shoot landscape or wildlife. I live in Wyoming, the biggest town closest to me is 60,000. KInda limiting, but I have fun and have to get creative. So lots of abstract, architecture and light play. Love your relaxed layed back attitude, I look forward to your videos. Thanks
Welcome to NYC, Faizal! Excited to see the city through your lens. It took about 6 weeks before I really felt like I lived there. My body had arrived, but my soul was a little delayed in arriving and it was a dream-like time. It didn’t feel real.
Pet peeve: It is DJI, not DGI. ;-) Also, anytime I see a video like this, I tell myself that I need to get back to New York. I have not been there in 20 years. :-(
Love NYC but I wouldn't live there, not now that i am in my 30's and planning to have a family. Tbh it's over saturated anyway...too many creatives living there. It's hard to stand out and have a unique point of view. USA is so big and there are many other great cities that deserve exploration by talented photographers.
Congratulations on moving to NYC. I’m a recovering New Yorker having been born & raised in Brooklyn. I’d love to move back but it is too expensive for me. I visit once a year around San Genera. When I lived in NY I never went there. I never walked the Brooklyn Bridge either. I won’t tell you my favorite places. You mentioned some people like to go to the same places. I wondered why Winogrand & Meyerowitz hung out at 57th & 5th. Some of it had to do with population density. It also had to do with the light. The buildings there don’t block the light like on Madison. @MarcEstrella suggests why, for me, walking the High Line is so dangerous. Yes, the HL can provide a lot of photo opportunities. The downside is its proximity to B&H. I think of B&H as an adult toy store. It is hard for me to enter the store without buying something. Sounds like the alligator took a bite out of your wallet after visiting B&H. Word of advice. There are five boroughs in the City of NewYork. Staten Island is a borough I drove through to go from Brooklyn to New Jersey. It is also the terminus for the ferry. Staten Island is a mystery to me. It may be worth exploring. As @Agarra suggested, visit the boroughs. There is a different energy in different parts of the city. The neighborhoods look different. The people look different. I hope living in NYCis everything you want to to be and more. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
that was the most artistic and clever apology I've ever seen. bravo! and congrats on the move. I've never been to NY but I'm excited to follow your journey.
Welcome to New York! The greatest place for photography. Hope you're planning on offering classes sometime. I've watched your journey on your channel and it's been very inspiring,
I was definitely one of your subscribers who assumed you already lived there. Envious of the move but super happy for you! Look forward to seeing more New York adventures.
Hey I was shooting the naked guitar man on time square about the same time that day! What a coincidence considering that your channel was among the few that moved me to street photography a few months ago. Good to have you here in NY!
Fellow New Yorker here ! Dude I was at B&H with a friend who just got into photography. I went to pick up a bag and you were checking out right next to me . I’ve since shown my friend your videos and he’s watched them all!! You’re rad man!
@@FaizalWestcott I didn’t want to be like hey omg I love your videos at the checkout counter at B&H but you’re right . Would have been cool haha . Welcome to NYC ! I’m out in Staten Island. I shoot weddings but aiming to shoot street on film in the city for a personal project I’m working on . If you host an event or something I’ll look out for it and pop in or something like that . Or if you’re trying to make friends in the city we can link and shoot homie ✌🏼
Welcome to NY, Boston has lost a great creator but yeah for us!, I think you should name that DJI camera “foxy”😄. Hopefully I will run into to you one of these days. Have fun exploring
Welcome to NY! Hope to run into you on one of my photo walks :) Also the Pocket 3 has that adapter thing you can attach to GoPro mounts, maybe that’ll be useful for POV videos

Now that you’re in New York, we need to see a Walkie Talkie featuring Faizal 🙌🏾

How do you make the mundane look such cinematic masterpiece incorporating the normal audio along with other audios, I’m so inspired
"ET" Looks a bit like the character from the movie :)
I love NYC, I live here and this inspired to love my city even more even with all its problems.
I think Wall-E will be a great name for the camera haha. I also live in New York, hopefully I get to meet you some day. Amazing work as always buddy, you're an inspiration!

Nice work, shooting one-handed!! Were you using the same lens for the entire day? What was the focal length?

Inspiring as always. ❤
I've always liked the pictures, small point: the vocal fry is slightly annoying and hopefully will get toned down moving forward..

Beethoven and New York in BnW 🤌🏻❤️
What a great and inspiring video, yet again 🙏🏻
I was getting Woody Allen film vibes, too. The music and BnW are like peanut butter and jelly - just go so well together.

Congrats on the move man. Good luck! Can’t wait for the content
Amazing! Congrats man, hope to run into you one day!
