None of my play groups ever tried to release the other fallen angels, but I would either say the awakening process takes longer than the adventure would allow, or if I'm feeling creative, let the players now deal with TWO demons who want to find the pendant to get back into Osmodeus' good graces. Murgahd wants to get the pendant because his superior Osmodeus wants to unlock and corrupt its holy powers (being once owned by the Archangel of Death). For simplicity, I'd say that once Murgahd gets it, he sucks the whole house into Hell (via the hellpit), damning all the survivors in the process, and then the last thing the PCs see is him kneeling before a horrifying Osmodeus with it.
There’s an OSR version which is for original versions of D&D, which I think work a little better for horror vs 5E. But it’s not to hard to convert that to low level 5E by basically doubling the damage and hit points of the NPCs. You can Google more elegant OSR to 5E conversion guides, but for the adventure which is mostly investigative, that seems to work fine.
That’s a good little tale for any rpg setting. Well done sir! Thanks! 👍🏼
About to run this today. Wish me luck!
Lemme know how it goes!
This is such a cool adventure. Thank you so much!
Has anyone ever released the other fallen angels to help them? And what happens if the demon is given the pendant?
