I'm from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 I bought a packet of fenugreek today and really wanted to learn more about it. Your explanation was clear and now I'm confident about using this in the future.🤗
Greetings from New Zealand. On a whim, I decided to grow some Methi.I just sprinkled some seeds on top of tray of garden potting mix, and, Hey Presto! In 5 days it had germinated and was 1cm tall. I look forward to using it in my vegetable dishes from now on. I didn't know how to use fresh Methi. Your explanation of the herb was a real eye opener. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much Nisha! I couldn't understand why the seeds were useful until you showed the key of heating them in oil to bring out flavour. They are so round that I thought they had been processed or something and didn't expect that they would germinate. However, as another commenter from NZ noted, they are ultra easy to germinate! I put boiling water on them and left them soaking overnight. Then drained them and kept them moist, changing the water daily, in about three days I had a whole jam jar full of methi seed sprouts. I haven't tried eating a methi seed sprout yet, but probs yummy on top of salads? Thank you! PS Oh, by the way, when in a hurry to get to work and not knowing what to take for lunch I have thrown rice in a microwave pot with dried fenugreek / methi leaves and a spoonful of peanut butter. Quick and easy. The dried methi is a bit chewy out of the microwave at work but everyone loves the wonderful aromatic scent. And, it tastes really good for a lunch that takes two minutes to throw together. Can't wait to try the same with fresh green methi, cross fingers in a few more days time! Come on methi shoots! Grow! Grow! Grow! :)
i was amazed when i first ground up freshy dry roasted methy seeds, it's really a bold and unmistakable aroma. my most frequent use is with (also roast) coriander, szechuan pepper, and fresh ginger and bear garlic, to flavor a spinach curry with sour white cheese. (an incredibly flavorful condement! great on bread, rice, potatoes and with eggs)
I've not seen any at the market as of yet but I'd probably be happier just listening to her read from the phone book. I love her accent and she is drop dead gorgeous to top it off.
Dr. Oz says that Fenugreek seeds are excellent for stabilizing blood sugar levels. Fenugreek has an incredibly fantastic aroma and taste. This is a good video - and the lady has a lovely voice.
Oh, how I wish I had taken heed of your comments about the smell of dried fenugreek leaves!!! Bought some to 'enhance' a curry I made a couple of nights ago and I can still smell the damn stuff. Seems to have seeped into the fabric of the house! Only used a tiny amount! The rest is going in the bin!😃
:) i like the style of this video. it leaves me wanting more info more direction on how to integrate this herb (despite your distaste for it) into a dish.
I have never tried it before heard its very good for controlling sugar levels at bay ,,,shall buy it fro the locals and shall add to my cooking , v informative vdo ...shukariya
I am going to grow my own. So is this the main spice of curry which I love but don't actually cook with too often. I plan on using the leaves mostly. I am more of a gardener than a cook, but I do like to cook now and then.
Yeah I brought some methi powder but not sure how to use it.last time i added a bit to curry and a pinch of salt the whole dish was really salty and i had to bin the whole thing.i could of dropped in too much salt or it was the methi powder but i have not used it since.Any advice greatly appreciated. At moment i just make pathia, masala and a naga using mr naga chilli pickle.
Nisha by your way of speaking i can't believe you studied in India because I worked with Americans up to thirteen years i did not meet any of the indians who used to speak like you would that I could meet you to have a conversation, bye.
I'm very sorry, but I had to watch your video four times before being able to focus on the actual content. You are so Devastatingly Beautiful that it's quite distracting actually... but, that's a good thing.
As an Indian person, what is wrong with your house smelling like a curry house? Are you ashamed of your cultural cuisine distinct characteristics? Hmm 🤔
Thank you for this wealth of knowledge! I couldn't figure out what to do with my methi seeds, I fry them first but they're so bitter! Can I use cumin seeds instead or combine them?
I made it once and I love it so much. I don’t have fenugreek leaves even dry leaves I can’t find , but I got the fenugreek seeds; does anyone can please tell me if I can used the seeds thank you very much 😊

Can I just chew a few seeds like I do with fennel?
Only if you want to break your teeth. They are as hard as little stones. Maybe soak them first?
Delicious!
i LOVE methi/fenugreek..and have to ask y local indian to make meat dishes including it, because its not on menu.
I was thinking to try this but never mind

+Nisha Katona you are lovely
bigcartoonyIIV
you absolutely can! its very strong and very "Curry" flavoured. Balance it with a touch of cumin powder to give a base flavour
! Yum all up :o)
Indian Nigella!
The Accent..
Sometime is about the benefit you can have to your body not about flavor or prestige.
One of the most sensual Indian girls I've seen - to be honest
She’s naughty
It's a herb not a spice.
Indian women are the most beautiful women in the world.
You're pretty
Im confused as to why are you mispronouncing methi?
Dang your beautiful!
I'm very sorry, but I had to watch your video four times before being able to focus on the actual content.
You are so Devastatingly Beautiful that it's quite distracting actually... but, that's a good thing.

Got to love that bullshit English enunciation.
Can I soak the dried fenugreek in water before cooking it?
beautiful and smart woman
How to prep and how much to use for someone unfamiliar with that spice? (Don't want to poison myself with overdosing.)
This was so interesting! Thank you for posting.
Do the seeds soften when cooked im making butter chicken and my local spice shop said to toast them before I put them in?
Brilliant advice for diabetes. A little amount of dried fenugreek mixed with yogurt is the best medicine for diabetes.
What about Fenugreek Microgreens?
Thank you for making this video. I was somewhat stumped by this ingredient, as far as understanding its use in its different forms.
As an Indian person, what is wrong with your house smelling like a curry house? Are you ashamed of your cultural cuisine distinct characteristics? Hmm 🤔
