    The fact that Hugh had the audacity to buy the grave next to Marilyns after publishing those photos without her consent and giving her no cut in the 1950s where nudity was looked down upon makes me absolutely sick. He really was that narcissistic.

      I think Hef really helped her and I can see why she is talking from personal experience, especially since he rescued her from poverty so she was very grateful to him. Her life experience is completely different from Holy, however she doesn't seem to notice the bigger picture on how he treated other women or to know about his past; in fact, Holly had been in the mansion two years before she arrived. I get her because she probably feels like she owns him loyalty for what he did... but at the same time just because your personal needs are getting met, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't understand the pain other girls go through. Does she know all the horrible things Hef has done and said about other women after all this time? I think she really doesn't want to think about it. She confessed that he rescued her from drugs (in the reality show), so I can see where she is coming from... but still... she is being stubborn and refuses to acknowledge all the crap Hef has done. For her is "he gave me everything I need it in my life and didn't have to work. How dare you to be ungrateful!!!"

    In 1973 I was 9 years old. Our neighbor was a playboy model. She saw me playing in the lobby and asked my mom if I could play with her daughter. She was the kindest, loving, and most wonderful person. She took her daughter and I to the Miami playboy club during the day, it was amazing. Her mom was playmate of the year.
    I lost contact with my friend until about 1998. Come to find out, we both moved to California, and about 15 miles away from each other. I never saw anything bad, but I was only 9 years old.

      She was also very naive, young, and quite frankly not too bright- a predator's dream. I worked in strip clubs for years and the people in charge all acted like they were a small time Hef. The young, uneducated girls were walking targets. Those of us who knew how to handle ourselves weren't immune to lies and manipulation- but we sidestepped more than they did. And you could never try to help those girls- they'd been told that we were all "so jealous" and "wished we were them".
      A dirty, trashy, scummy line of work indeed. Reading Holly's book, nothing shocked me- the cattiness, the backstabbing, the STDs, rampant drug abuse... It's nice to see this whole industry catching way overdue hell.

      Anddddd they usually say that sex work is empowering to women when really you’re just supporting the patriarchy by doing exactly what they want you to do. You can’t have it both ways. Men that want to just use your body will never respect you and they aren’t good guys that will treat you right. Men like this will always exist and women will continue to choose them as long as they can hide behind the crutch of “I’m just a victim” in society. At some point they have to be held accountable for their own choices yet every person that is quick to call them victims doesn’t realize that they just make women look stupid, weak and easily manipulated cuz we’re constantly victims. We need to hold more people accountable. Otherwise this will just continue being a vicious cycle.

Kendra doesn't realize though i love all three of them, Kendra doesn't realize that her own first book only confirms Holly's experience. But ya what do you expect to happen? I imagine Bridget's experience was a lot different than the other girls. She was hired by Hef when she was older. So for her.... she knew what this exchange was. There is a BIG difference between 30 and 18 years of age. Grooming is a real thing and it is 100% abuse. I think that's why Holly had more trauma. She grew up and realized an old man had tricked her and manipulated her. There are NO mature women that are going to allow an old man to give them a 9 pm curfew, forbid them to flirt with other men while he f**ks everyone without a condom, and all kinds of dumb stuff. You know who is easy to trick and manipulate? Teenagers. That's why grooming is against the law. That's why Hef went for 18 year olds vs 28 year olds. They're easier to abuse.

    I am just going to add, that I was a mental health counselor for close to 20 years. The amount of sexual abuse is so rampant, it became, almost "normal" during my tenure. The first time I encountered it, I felt like I encountered evil first hand, but later I learned it was everywhere. I know a gentleman that is autistic that was sexually abused also, and it is just so sad. It is prevalent. Also, in my job, some people had 4 abortions and more(not judging), but a lot of stuff. God help us heal.

    • @sabrina.natalie
      @sabrina.natalie 3 роки тому +7

      Wow. I don’t doubt it. I completely believe you. I know more individuals in my life who were sexually abused in some form or fashion - (typically by someone that they knew and trusted) - then people, who haven’t been abused at all. To go your whole life without being sexually abused, violated, or assaulted, is nearly rare. Statistics say that 1 and 4 girls will be sexually abused, at least once, in their lifetime. But I actually don’t believe that. Those are the only based off of the statistics that are REPORTED. Imagine the amount of sexual abuse cases around the world, that never get reported. I imagine the statistics around the world would be more closely align to 3 out of 4 girls.
      Anyone who abuses a child - especially sexually, should be charged with attempted murder, in my opinion. Because that’s actually what happens. The perpetrator(s) murder the person you could have been. You feel unlovable, unworthy, tainted, broken - you feel like you’re damaged goods. It warps and distorts your entire sense of sex and intimacy, and shatters every aspect of your life.
