I work at a grocery store, and a worker from one of our departments showed me the app. This is a very cool app, because it allows you to track a flight, and shows you if your flight is on time or delayed. I have used this app to track my parent’s flights when they travel. I enjoy watching the planes on the map, and seeing where they’re going or coming from
Is there a map somewhere that shows where receivers are currently located? I'm interested in participating, but if my area already has lots of coverage, then I feel it may not be worth it.
Quick question for you Guys. If I were to become a 'Receiver Host' for you can you give me a rough idea of the internet bandwidth required please? I'm still on ADSL and have a connection of around 5.2 Mbps / 0.75 Mbps (down / up). It's not a lot but I imagine that you don't need very much bandwidth? I live close to Flers 61100 Normandy France. I'm a 'Gold' member already and spend most of my afternoons using Flightradar24 and listening to my SDR on my PC. I'm an electrical / electronics engineer by trade and also happen to own some scaffolding so antenna mounting is just a formality for me. Many thanks for all your hard work . Richard.
Hello, the bandwidth usage depends on the number of aircraft seen by the receiver, but is generally quite low. We encourage you to apply so that we can review the precise location..
Hello. I am a ham operator. I live in a townhouse and have my radios antennas installed in my attic (35-40’ agl) due to hoa restrictions. There are no trees or anything blocking sky views. Is it possible to install the unit in my attic?
live in Greenland, but unfortunately on a lower floor in an apartment building. Otherwise i would have loved to apply as receiver host, living very close to the approach sector to the new runway in Nuuk Greenland.
Given the amount of traffic across the North Atlantic and the small population of Greenland, I expect you would be a welcome addition to the team. The antenna site is not super critical. At your location protecting it from the weather is likely to be the biggest problem. No doubt the FR24 help team can help.
Hello, it is not possible to buy this specific kit, as it is custom designed and manufactured for our free equipment program. You can, however, look at webshop.jetvision.de/ for options to purchase a receiver similar to these.
I would love to be a host. I am an amateur radio operator and have numerous tall towers. I do I start? I currently enjoy listening to the airband with my Icom IC-R8600. TIA
Dude. How can you ask "who pays for installation" ? Its just a matter of screwing an antenna and plugging into your router... And everything is well documented.
We prioritize applications that add coverage, provide redundancy, or can offer exceptional coverage in limited circumstances. We would love to be able to send a receiver to any applicant! We encourage people who would like to be involved, but who may not meet the criteria for a free receiver kit, to build their own receiver. Thanks!
Hello, I live in Ukraine near Lviv, in the western part of Ukraine where there is no fighting. Can I get an ADS-B receiver and participate in your programme?

I don't think so that your reciever would be visible, it is only locating planes
Try checking data sharer stats and that will give you a relative number of how many receivers are there, but not where.
Received my kit yesterday...
I have a PoE switch coming...
Will have it installed soon...
@KWWR
What is your location?
Is it free?

I think so. If they don’t approve you you can always make your own receiver and still get the free Business subscription.
Will be the length of cable and LAN cable provided by you enough from ground floor to the reciever on fourth floor open storey?
Top is very useful
Greetings! I would like to know if even someone who doesn't work at the airport can have this antenna kit
yes
Can we connect it just over wifi? Would be way easier

Hello! Could there be legal problems, such as fines or other restrictions?
Is it also possible to buy this kit and if so, how much would that be?

Does it have a delivery fee?
To the Philippines
Their website says they cover all shipping costs.

Great! Follow the first link in the description to apply.
Is the antenna ok in a loft space? My house is quite high up and not surrounded by obstructions
I think they said it should be able to see the sky, so maybe a windowsill? I'm not a part of the FlightRadar24 team, though.
Is it available in the Philippines? :)
IF YOU GET 1 OF THESE IS IT A FREE ?
if you keep it 24/7 then yes, if not you have to return it
Can the big white antenna be put in a window inside?
No, try watching the video. Has to be top of a roof or uninterrupted view of the sky 360 degrees
Ele consome muita energia será ?
creio que não
Why are you reaching out for hosts. I would love this but who pays for installation
Hello! The receiver kit is free and we pay for shipping. The receiver host is responsible for the physical installation.
Who pays for the installation ... Typical question from a cheap a$$ person 😅😅😅😅

I Applied to become a host but I am asked to build my own kit, there is a shortage of kit - not sure what is the point of this video 😞
