      Thank you and thanks for watching. I would recommend the Leupold VX5 HD 4x24x52mm if you are doing long range shooting on a regular basis. The Leupold scopes have a very good CDS dial system also.

      Leupold - all made in China, Japan, some in Europe, assembled in USA. You'd be best served with a Zeiss V6 (German glass), or a Leica since those are on your list. I've owned 38 Leupold scopes. Sold every one of them except one and only reason I still have it is it's in MILs and seems ok for close range work (350 yards or so) on the Tikka 270

      @@ozark_trapper I've seen good things and reviews online with that Trijicon. No experience personally. James Eagleman on the Barbour Creek shooting school channel seems to like Trijicon pretty well. If he's on board you can't go wrong. The Leica is a no brainer. Love my Leica optics.

    Calling a 6.5 prc a hopped op 270 is like calling a porsche 911 a hopped op VW beatle

    • @b8ranch
      @b8ranch  2 місяці тому +2

      lol. ok. So the 270 in metric is ~ 6.8 mm bullet with a muzzle velocity of 3023 ft/sec. The 6.5 PRC is a 6.5 mm bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2910 ft/sec. The 6.5 has a much better BC. You don't think that statement is accurate?

      @@b8ranch here is my take. Up to normal hunting rangs, 350-400yards they are very close, the 6.5 will be better in the wind. But bullet drop and energy on target will be almost identical.
      But going past that the 6.5prc is great. I have found that it is stupidly easy to get it to group at high velocities. I shot it at 1100 yard and it shot a 7" group. Thats what makes it great for me. Great hunting round and if you want to hit some steel you can reach 1 mile with ease. One thing to note, I really do believe that all the prc cartridges needs to be handloaded to reach the hype that everybody makes of it.
