I’m a Brit living in Chattanooga who predominantly carp fishes. I have a hobie pa12 that I was about to sell as I wasn’t using it. After coming across your channel I’ve started catfishing in my hobie. I personally love the unedited videos… it’s like having a personal guide for the day. I’ve learnt a ton about catfishing. So keep up the great work ! UKDave 🇬🇧
Keep your chin up! Keep doing what you do and great things will follow… my family enjoys your channel and look forward to new videos every week. Come fish the Tampa Bay Area more often. Best wishes and cheers to a prosperous 2025 and beyond from Palm Harbor, Florida.
Glad to see you made it up there. You got some decent channels. Some of those were pretty nice. Thanks for another one to get me further down the road. Great video, as always. Have a blessed night, Justin.
I fish Sandusky bay atleast every other day as I live about 5 minutes from there. Actually looking into getting a kayak because of your videos. I’m so used to the dead fish anymore, been like that since I was little. As for those black snakes, they run away if you get close to them lol. You should really try going after the blue cats out there 👌🏼
Hey Justin, if you ever have snake questions let me know. I work with snakes every day (I actually like them, they're better than most people). Always great seeing your videos, keep the content coming!
Enjoy the uncut videos Justin. I’ll keep saying fishing is supposed to be fun so I’m all in favor of the guy giving me content to adjust and enjoying what he’s doing.
I love watching your videos. In fact, I've bought two of your rods and haven't had a chance to go out and use them, but they will probably quickly become my favorite catfish Rod. But man, I don't know that I've ever seen anybody that likes to talk so much. I've heard about the hotel, roaches, snake in your house, everybody caught fish, lol you are a talker. 👀
I caught a small channel catfish and used it for bait. I caught a 37 inch flathead with it. Maybe thats the reason channel catfish dont get that big because they are being preyed upon by larger blues and flatheads. Love you videos.
Just bought two of your rods with the fourth sale. Been thinking about buying one since I bought my first kayak earlier this year and jumped at the sale. Excited to get on some fish with them before too long!
Justin catching channel cats, what world am I in? 😂❤❤ You need to come fish on Boone lake in Washington County TN, there's big channels and also flatheads, as well as stripped bass. Would love to see someone like yourself fish it and see what kind of fish you catch.
Huge fan my man, and also a frequent fisher of those exact waters, but just wanted to give a heads up, I’m almost 100% certain the law in Ohio, is no more then 3 hooks per line, or no more then three rods with 1 hook each, we’ve all always done one rod with 2 hooks, and 1 rod with 1 hook or 3 rods with 1 hook. ODNR is stiff, they will ticket every time.
Hey man,, when you planing fishing to Joliet,IL,let me know.I just got my fishing kayak :) At Joliet and arround are few rivers where you could make good video.Des plaines river,Kankakee river,Illinois river,Du Page river,,,, and many lakes. Have a great day and good luck!!!
Subscribed!! I'm in Niagara Falls Canada. We fish our channel cats with either cut bait like you do OR chicken LIVERS. Alot more scent on the Livers. Thread 2 or 3 on a circle hook. Try it out sometime buddy!!
From what I’ve read there is a small tidal change twice a day on the Great Lakes but it’s less than a 5 centimeter change height wise but can turn the current but the wind also affects current
Love the Ohio content, Justin. We like to stay at the Penninsula Inn Motel when we fish up there. Very boat friendly back your rig up to your room and plug it in. The "Tide" is called an estuary effect. The winds on the main lake build up and push so much water that it has a tide effect in all the bays and back waters. I've seen the water come up 2ft and fall 2ft in a matter of a few hours. Some times multiple times a day. The fish kill is amazing up there. It always seems to be after they spawn the drum have mass die offs and the stench is unbearable. I think they travel so far some times and spawn so hard that alot of them die plus poor water quality in some of the back waters. I'd like to see you fish the portage river next time you go up for fun its only a couple mins away and chulk full of channel cats and drum. It dont seem to get as much fishing pressure as Sandusky does. Fish from bridge to bridge.
Hi Justin, love your videos. I live in the Columbus area about 10 minutes away from Hoover Reservoir. I haven’t caught much catfish. I have all the equipment. I would love to meet up with you and possibly do a teach newer person how to catfish video. I’ve done lots of bass fishing but haven’t dabbled in the catfishing as much as I would like. Who would be a better coach than you!
Hey Justin, we love the videos. However can we see some more unedited skipjack or any unedited bait fishing videos? I would personally like to see not necessarily completely unedited but a partial bait fishing video that rolls over into a catfish video. Like 2 hours of each that turns into a 4 hour video
Snakes are one of my favorite animals. If snakes didn't exist, we would have a huge rodent problem. Awesome fishing btw. Im learning a lot from watching.
On occasion we would do pretty good with beef liver which is a lot tougher than chicken liver and it's a lot harder for them to pull off so we would just put a little strip on it leave the hook out and we will catch quite a few fish on beef liver
Started seeing some clips of your videos being uploaded to facebook, not by you. I don't know if you have a PR team that can help you with that, but you should. Great video as usual!
Awesome video Justin can you share some insight on your kayak. I’m looking an can’t decide what I want but I wanna have a bow mount motor like you set up thanks buddy
Just bought two of your golly whopper rods with that awesome coupon code hoping they come in soon. After watching you and how you pick your spots I’ve been catching more and more fish. Just struggling to catch the size I want. I’ve been doing the right rig, spot and bait and I still catch catch 20lb+ cats. Was curious if you had any ideas on where to start?
Thanks for buying the rods! I hope you like them. It sounds like you are doing things right with setting up for cats. It may just be the time or year or body of water you are on. Keep at it. You will eventually get them dialed in.
Do you have a hoover video coming out? I fished my first king kat that weekend got skunked but it was a learning experince and still had a good time actually walked right by you at the ramp after it was over.
Oh my God, your using that chicken breast. The channel cats here hammer it but I add the stawberry jello powder. Channel cats are the main catfish species around here though. Speaking of dead fish, I was fishing a small lake north of me last week, and as I was walking the shore scouting, I came across a dead 15 1/4 inch large mouth bass. Didn't look like he'd been dead for long, not sure what happened to him. Never held a bass that big before.
I feel attacked 😂 jk brother! I said it the other day I love your content! I absolutely do prefer the hour long videos not so much the shorter ones lol but the full length videos are okay as well😁 ultimately you can't please everybody and you have a life of your own as well. Ima watch when I can, just like most of your viewership. Don't get discouraged by a few rotten tomatoes!
The Hoover tournament last weekend was our last event in Ohio so I doubt I’ll be back up there this year. I’ll keep your recommendations in mind for next year though.
About that parking ticket....... Before you said how you handled it, I was thinking exactly that. I would have seen that piece of mail, maybe contacted them to investigate, and if they still held me to the $85 fine, I would have told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
@@KayakCatfish got 4 of them on the way, keep up the great videos man love em especially when I can’t get out there to fish myself, continue catching them hogs and catch a few more for me!!
I’m no pro but I’ve used Scotty and the omegas. The omega is a good rod holder but I now only use Scotty. Very similar but the Scotty just takes up less space it seems and the profile I guess is the only way to say it is better for me, imo
@@JefroMullins I orders me 4 and they will be in tomorrow gonna hit the water this weekend and see how they do on some big blues and flat head at browns ferry nuclear plant if the lord willing to let me hook into some
In my locality, the money goes in the same place the drugs and paraphernalia go-packaged as evidence and stored in a locked location until needed for court. Once the disposition of the case is determined, the drugs and paraphernalia are destroyed and the prosecutor determines what is done with the money. We, as police officers, have no bid in the outcome as far as who gets the kitty. The instances I know of where somebody tried to line their own pocket? They ended up prosecuted as well. I know you were joking and meant no offense, and everybody jokes about that kind of thing, but if it were that easy and there were that many crooked cops, there wouldn't be so many police officers working 2 jobs to make ends meet. No offense taken by me because I've been working the road since 1988 and I've heard it all. But in this day and age, law enforcement is constantly beat down and put in a bad light enough the way it is. Love your channel and appreciate everything you do!
I enjoy watching the fishing and hearing the stories.

It's always great to see Jacoby. Thanks for taking us along with you guys on your fishing trips❤

Content theft on Facebook has been an ongoing battle for me. Every time I get one page shut down, three more pop up.

Man it’s so hard to catch fish in sandusky I only catch crappie and mahi mahi looking fishes
Tommy boy " quit playing with your dingy!😂"
Do you need a special sinker like that to drag for catfish if you’re in deep water?
Also ich muss sagen wenn ich sie nicht gewinne 😅 werde ich sie mir kaufen. Sehr schöne Route und der Preis von 80.euro ist echt super 👍

You come down here to GA better have your crap straight , been checked by game warden in the middle of the river swamp🎣🎣🎣🎣
If you do another Ohio road trip, maybe include the Ohio river either upstream or downstream from Cincinnatti. Kind of along your way back home
The Hoover tournament last weekend was our last event in Ohio so I doubt I’ll be back up there this year. I’ll keep your recommendations in mind for next year though.
If you would have gone under the Rte 2 bridge and went north there is a rock wall that runs about 30 yards from shore all along the highway
I've caught channel cats flat burning a crankbait or lipless bass fishing and I've caught them trolling 2 mph for walleye
3:08:55 You can rent a rail car, but most often shipment is calculated by weight, demention of the load and destination (mileage of shipment). 😂
Justin some snakes are good to have around your yard . Snakes can't hear they don't have ears.
Get around some of that structure because there’s some huge flatheads out there.
Pretty sure the great lakes are considered non tidal. Maybe 2 inches at most. Winds effect the tidal flow more then anything.
There is no tide in Erie. Wind drives the water. Wind from the west will lower the bay a lot. Wind from the NE and East will raise it.
Catching them on that Sal Mineo chicken!
Fish an upground Reservoir in Northwest Ohio! I’ve caught huge channels and blues in some
Do you do anything to keep your kayak from being stolen when you travel.
If I am in a sketchy area, I will strap the kayak to my trailer with Kanulocks straps.
About that parking ticket....... Before you said how you handled it, I was thinking exactly that.
I would have seen that piece of mail, maybe contacted them to investigate, and if they still held me to the $85 fine, I would have told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

I wonder could it be a beach ride in a little higher because you're going against the wind instead of with the Wind
If you ever make a Ohio trip again go to Indian Lake. It's full of flathead.
Kind of hard to drag through the good spots. There is alot of lumber in the water. I would run live baits under a balloon. I personally use floats.
Also Indian lake has some huge channels.

Are you going live when you fish Hoover?
Out here in California, farm-raised channel catfish cost $12.99 a pound!!
You’re in Ohio? I live in Toledo, man. An hour from Sandusky. I’d love to do some fishing with you.
I used to love fishing up there, until i started targeting blues and flatheads. I just turned down a free trip up there earlier.
I know you are fishing out of a kayak but do you know how bank friendly Sandusky bay? I’m about 2 hour and plan on going up soon and was wondering
Lots of bank fishing opportunities there along the jetty
Try shad. Frozen 2,3,4 weeks old doesn’t matter. I’ve tried chicken and shrimp but shad to me has been a lot better every time I have been there.
Well.... we know how to run Justin out of East Tennessee. Ants and snakes! Thanks for the entertainment!
