Yippee!! It’s a double doozie! Justin and Ryan together! Eating supper with you guys. You’re our “dinner and a movie” on Sunday. This is a real treat for me.
I second that yakfishin_SolL! From the first mention of the Louisiana trip and the Mississippi River fishing tournament, I have been wondering how many videos we would get from this one trip. Hoping for a few but even just the one is awesome! Especially knowing our boy won the tournament like a boss!!!
Super entertaining video Justin! Looks like you got a new knife too. In one of your last videos you were cutting up some bait and you mentioned that your knife just about had it. It made me happy to know I finally hid your glove where you couldn't find it! Trouble is, I don't remember where I hid it. Sorry about that.
@KayakCatfish I live on the Tennessee River now, just below Wheeler, but I did live in Louisiana for a few years. I also lived in Florida for many years. Anywhere you have saltwater meeting freshwater, you have to consider the tidal effect on the fish, the moon stage, (waning or waxing)... Much the way rising waters and current effects the bite at home, it will effect everything in tidal waters. Also... Just as the cats here prefer to feed on local bait fish, so do the tidal waters fish. Local bait fish like pinfish, grunts, lady fish, mullet, crabs, or large shrimp work wonders ! Most saltwater fish have bony mouth's with much harder "teeth", making a hooksett more difficult. Sharpen your hooks regularly and give them time to chew on it or even swallow it. A great video young brother ! It's good to see a man confront his challenges and enjoy the hell out of it, no matter what ! 👊😂
Gar breathe through both a set of gills and surface air. In fact, when water temperatures are above 70 degrees, gars get most of their oxygen by “rolling” toward the surface and taking a gulp of air. Love your good times Brother! Keep them coming....
Hello Justin, I was watching your video from Louisiana. I'm glad you chose to cut the line on that stingray. I've been stung by one. I spent three days in the hospital because of it. That barb that they have on their tales is no joke. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. Catch a bunch.

@ man we should take a trip sometime like this on Wilson lake (high side of Wilson dam) to catch some of them blue back whisker face gorillas up there. The day before I could put the boat in on the low side of Wilson and catch up some skipjack and ice them down, throw the yaks in the next morning at sun rise on the high side and get our lines stretched.
