- Beautiful day for a fledge, both young juveniles accidentally fledge. This footage captures the youngsters branching perched side by side on the 12 oclock branch just off the nest. One slips and falls then the other one slips and falls; accidentally fledgling. Both are seen in flight after the fall. I recorded the footage in actual time then slow motion then in actual time again. Both eaglets appeared fine after the fall. Later the cam pans the area and locates one of the juvenile's perched in a nearby tree. It may take a fish delivery to entice the "fledglings" back to the nest. These young juveniles are 79 and 75 days old. Congratulations to the Duke kids on their successful fledge. Thanks to Duke Farms for keeping us connected to this amazing bald eagle family.

In 2008, Duke Farms installed a webcam on a tree adjacent to a Bald Eagle nest to provide a live look at the daily lives of the eagles. In partnership with The Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, lesson plans were created to facilitate place-based educational opportunities for students. Between the general public and classrooms up and down the east coast, the Duke Farms Eagle Cam has many fans - over 10 million viewers and growing!
Can see both flying on bottom left of screen after they fell off limb. Glad to see both are okay,
Thanks 🙏 baby’s back to t the nest praying to be safe to the beautiful eagles 🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️🦅🦅🦅
Lol...can you imagine what they said to to each other after that fall! Lol.......too cute! Thank you for this.....)
Omg poor precious eagles falling bad experience to young but nothing happened to the beautiful eagles🙏🙏♥️♥️
Hope they’re both fine. Poor baby was trying to get back to the nest and knocked them both over. Be safe little ones! ❤️❤️
I watched that live. I didn't know what was going to happen. It looked like the parents wouldn't feed them if they weren't in the nest.
Oh, babies. A valuable lesson for you both.
Well, that was awkward 😂. Glad they’re both okay. 🥰
Ahh congratz to both e's for a unexpected fledged...
I'm glad they are both fine The parents will bring food to them wherever they are.
Both were back in the nest as of Friday, May 21 being fed by a parent.
Thanks Deb for this video. I only saw one eaglet come back to the tree. Did I miss the other one?

One is back in the nest today!
Almost looked like the one initially falling grabbed the other with his talons, trying to find something to hang on to. Wonder if they make it back to the nest if this will make them more or less adventurous?
Only one of the 2 is back in the nest/hanging out on the branch.
What am I missing. I've only seen one back at the nest.
Omgosh, I would have had a heart attack watching that day. Bet all the MODS did, too. So young. It has been 5 days since this occurred, what is the status of the eaglets now? Are they back in the nest? The parents expressions coming back to no children had to be disturbing to them.
I read that the average age of first fledge is 12 weeks
Am wondering why it took so long to put youngest baby back in nest after banding. I was afraid something happened to it. today is Wednesday the 19th. Thank you.
So are both back in the nest??
The second one was just copying it’s sibling.
