@@Tiffany.1970 Hi there, they are actually felt as the glass presses against them and prevent the windows from squeaking , I’d temporarily used foam as they had no felt at all so was better than nothing, but all done with the correct guides now👍
Cool glad it's fixed now I like your car horn very nice tone wonder if it's possible to fit. A trans am horn on a Mercedes car mines got a horrible tone
@@Tiffany.1970 Yes, first thing I checked, removed all the switch assembly from the steering wheel and cleaned all the contacts with wire wool, made no difference, after cleaning the relay it is working better but still think the relay itself needs replacing 👍
@@BarbBondi-w5p Thank you, funnily enough I removed the whole relay today, cleaned the terminals properly and took the relay apart to clean all the contacts inside, they are similar to ignition points. And it works now every time with the added bonus that the key buzzer sounds better too👍
I'm running a Cold Case on my 73, I had a really bad failure on the first one, Cold Case sent a replacement so I think you'll hear from them soon. I have to say I'm also disappointed with their quality. I hope not to have the same problem with the replacement I got. What coolant are you using? Good luck!
@@rodolfo23cr I’m hoping they’ll sort a new one although I’m UK based so not sure where I will stand with shipping? If they do send one I’ll keep it boxed as a spare or sell it. Will be putting the original back in for sure. Interesting to hear I’m not the only one, thought I was normally the only one with bad luck like that. I’ve been using blue coolant, it’s a UK based company and specifically for classic cars, and is good for cast iron and aluminium, something I checked before using.

Brass is superior sorry you got duped by the car community. Don't spare expense on your new core it may be more than you think and it will last another 30 years and use factory fan set up not that thing on there now. I had a 70 TA for some time same color power windows and everything but had a 396 in it when I got it . Save the hassle adding crap pump put a little 2 stroke mix in a small plastic water bottle, put some down the carb and fire it instantly when you want to drive it. did this for 25 years on a one of two known to exist vehicle that was driven every 2-3 weeks in spring thru fall here in NH, you will be fine. Should be (recommend/sorry) checking air cleaner/manifold for critters anyway before driving if it sits for a while. Nice car miss mine
Hi and thanks for the comment. Yes should have just got the factory rad repaired in the first place, but it is now and back on the car and runs nice. I am running the factory fan, just fitted a new shroud too, the electric fan is there just as backup if stuck in traffic. I did think about adding fuel straight to the carb if the car has been stood, but I’m being lazy asi don’t want to have to remove the shaker and air cleaner every time. The electric pump is on now so I’m going to trial it for a while and see how I get on👍
@@Tiffany.1970 I’ve contacted them and I’m waiting a response, so we’ll see. Really not happy, should have just got the original one reconditioned in the first place.
I do hope the company who sold the radiator accepts responsibility n gives you a full refund .....@@TransamObsessionLooking forward to the next video on 2025 keep up the nice work on the Pontiac firebird trans am 👍😁

Here's a tip in thought of for the window guides how about some small neoprene rubber instead of foam as foam breaks down worth a try
