Just watched the video on the trans am work a job well done indeed nice to hear your gonna fit ram air manifolds keeps the trans am factory fresh n original n keeps it's value a job well done ...... Thumbs up 👍 👍😁
Beautiful car!! I used to own several 2nd Gen TA's, a 1971 455HO/automatic, 1972 455HO/M22, and a 1977 SE that came with a TA400, but got a 455 after the crankshaft in the 400 broke. The secret to leak free Ram Air exhaust manifolds is to use NO gasket. Take a straight edge across the primary ports to make sure that surface is flat, and sand it flat if they aren't (a big belt sander is good for this), and make sure the exhaust surface on the heads are clean. Then bolt the manifolds on and enjoy. Using the exhaust gaskets leads to leaks, and, since there are just 3 bolts (on the 455HO manifolds anyway), make it easier for you to crack the manifold, as you've already seen. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip, really appreciated. Hoping to get some recast Ram Air manifolds and they come with additional fixings so I’ll see how I get on👍 Not a job I’m looking forward to
She sure does look very clean and accurate in terms of parts fitted very represented indeed ...infact from new from Pontiac this trans am ram air never looked this find from the g.m a Job well done indeed 👍
😀😀I thought I’d treat her to the new exhaust this year and that has just turned into a nightmare. The garage that originally fitted it did a poor job so I had to pay to get it done again and they discovered the manifolds need replacing😭 And trying to keep coolant in her has been a challenge but I think I’m there now. But I still love the car and no doubt will keep showing her the love (££££) she needs 👍
@@TransamObsession that's not good about the exhaust n poor fitting just wondering if you could go back to garage n ask for some money back for poor fitting after all you trusted the garage with your beautiful trans am 😁👍

The car is a genuine Ram Air car so it seems right to keep its identity by replacing them with the proper Ram Air manifolds👍
@@TransamObsession what's next on the trans am 👍😁

🎄 Xmas has come early for Pontiac firebird trans am...😁👍
