As a fellow Irishman, in London, who also likes the occasional hike (if not quite up to your standards) I'd like to add my voice to all the others clamouring for a return of this series. A great watch; really good content and professionally edited - head and shoulders above the usual UA-cam fare.
I was afraid you'd given up on YouTubing, but then realized that lockdown had slowed things down. Come back soon! I love this series, both the walks and how frank the people are that you are interviewing, because it is you that they are talking with.
Thank you, Ed, for this lovely series of hikes and conversations. Whether you continue this series or not, I am happy to have been invited along for stroll. Greetings from Wisconsin.
This series has been a lot of fun to watch and to be able to tag along. Sometimes it's like part of the episodes sound like awkward first date conversations (and I'm intrigued and eavesdropping) and I have equal fun listening to people just having a good chat. A really nice change to the very produced interviews in a studio. Thanks and greetings from Vancouver!
Perhaps it's the locations, perhaps it's time spent away from friends during lock down, perhaps it's Bryne's way of talking to the guests between takes, but these interviews are so in depth, so sincere and none of it feels forced. May this be the start of a new talk-show format, it's terrific.
This needs to be put on DVD - this might not always be available on UA-cam. So it would be nice to have a ' physical ' copy of the series walks. This was the fate of Ed's Pilgrimage walk. It was a four part series. Now there is one part on YouTUbe ...and no DVD version. Now tell me there is a God!!!!
This one is by far my favorite, while I love Hal, it's the scenery that puts this one over the top! Thanks for all these, and I look forward to the new ones whenever it is safe to do more.
Throughly enjoyed every one of these, and have also enjoyed walking the routes vicariously, at least for now. Looking forward to the next round, whenever it comes along.
Truly beautiful shots from 13:56 onwards. If only marred by the fact that the difference in hiking kit makes it look like Ed has been sent to try to talk Hal down from the fell after Hal's had "one of his funny turns"
I love Hal Cruttenden! I always light up when I see that he's a guest on one of the shows. If I saw him in the street, I would be making a fuss and telling him I adore his comedy. I can't believe he showed up with nothing -- no water, no rain jacket, no snacks, etc. Ed, did you not explain to poor ol' Hal how walking/hiking works? And, YES, please, more of these walks. So much more interesting than interviews at a desk on a stage.
Thank you for these Ed. A really welcome ray of sunshine in these times... although I am watching this at 3 in the morning... Well these videos definitly never fail to brighten my mood and I am excited for what's to come.
These are fantastic - thanks Ed. So lovely to see the landscapes and to hear the chat. Brilliantly apt during these isolated and mostly at home times! More please
I’ve loved the first four of these, hope even after the current unpleasantness you’ll continue them. Always been a huge fan of your comedy but have only managed to see you live once, years ago in Edinburgh. Love Hal too, and saw him last year, or the year before, who has any track of time, at Chorley Little Theatre. It was a great show in a great venue, you should come!
Really enjoyed these series , seeing the walks and listening to the down to earth chats. Hoping there will be a new series now the restrictions have lifted.
Thanks so much for a fantastic series Ed! As someone who's been shielding most of the last year and going stir crazy ,I have been mentally walking along with you and your brilliant guests each time I have watched an episode. I didn't even need to reach for an inhaler when I saw the size of the hills ahead. ;)
I sincerely hope that you will somehow be able to continue this series. It has so many elements that are refreshing and different but also familiar. The views of pieces of the British countryside have been fantastic and these videos are such a casual way to learn a bit about British comedians that I have watched on many programs. The scenery is a voyeuristic delight as I have been on lockdown since this pandemic began. If funding the program becomes an issue, the British Tourism folks should be opening their wallets post-Pandemic for your series.
Ahhh! Ed Venturing is back and all is Well in My World! Thank you, Mr Byrne. These films are such a treat. Please don’t stop! (PS Hello from Tasmania. We have some lovely walks down our way too. I have an awesome mountain walk literally at the end of my street - there’s a path and everything, so if you’re ever in the area...😁)
From an American fan: the only person I haven't known was Stuart, I'm familiar with everyone else (at least a little). These are so wonderful. I hope your able to keep these going Ed. They are truly enjoyable.
@@edventuring9092 You'll be most welcome. Plenty of nice walks in many places, and a lot of people over here like your work! Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Stone Mountain in Atlanta, Georgia; Yonah Mountain in North Georgia are favorites of my friends in that area. Colorado, California and Washington state have my heart, though.
What a superb series. Well done Ed, really down to earth chat and enjoyable to watch. Hope you get to film more in the future. Hal is a nice man and funny too. Lockdown will end soon, then you can both return to entertaining your fans. Cheers.
This has been very surreal. Procrastinating about going for a walk... I get a video of two of my favourite comedians doing the walk that I'm not doing. Damn you. Do more of these, they're excellent.
Loving these videos. Your story about the man saying I see you reminded me of a time I was hiking my local trails in upstate NY. I was wandering along and was startled by a noise about 30 yards off the trail to my left, when I looked over I saw a single coyote that looked just as startled by my presence as I was of his. For some reason in that moment all I could think to say was "I see you there". The coyote looked at me for a moment then put its head down and headed off in the opposite direction I was headed, so I put my head down and continued along. I look forward to watching your future videos, and hope you make many more.
Absolutely loving these videos, looking forward to more as and when possible. There's a lot to be said for long walks and chats with friends so thanks for these and all the laughs over the years Ed since I first saw you when almost sat in your lap at The Bishop's Mill in Salisbury one Tuesday evening in 1995ish.
Really enjoying the series. It’s great to here people talk shop about what their passion is about but to also see them try and reflect and look back on their careers from a new perspective and see those moments where they are trying to figure it out as it isn’t just a prepared answer like many interviews out there. Also as other have said props to Barry. Don’t think I’ve even seen hillwalking captured so steadily before and to be able to keep an eye on what he is shooting as well as his footing is fantastic. Looking forward to more. Can’t wait for the Daniel Sloss and Zoe Lyons episodes.
Thank you for posting these beautiful walks. The light was amazing so a big shout-out to your cameraman for being a great director of photography, too.
Another great episode. Very much looking forward to the next episode. Sharing this everywhere so it get more views. I think you're onto a winning formula.
What another fantastic vid. Well done Hal for your plasma donations. More people are needed to donate plasma and blood. Please do more of these Ed. 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Speaking of getting noticed, I remember a story you told Ed that I thought was so funny, about one of the first times you were recognized. You were on a train in Britain and some show you had done in Australia was just being shown in the UK and a guy pointed at you and said, "Hey, aren't you supposed to be in Australia?" and you had a bit of chuckling banter back and forth. But then you looked to your right and some old woman had this sour expression on her face as if to say, "Well don't look at me, I don't know who the hell ya are!" 🤣🤣🤣
Great episode Ed! As an Australian who loves British comedy, I only knew Hal from UA-cam videos of HIGNFY, WILTY, and Mock the Week... He seems to be a genuinely nice person.
Another great vid. I love the insight into the professions of your companions, it feels like I get to peek into the person whilst you peak out onto the view. The only downside to your Edventures; is that I do find myself getting a bit jealous... I'd love to trek out and shoot the breeze... or if ever you need an unqualified cameraman? Thank you all for this enjoyable and fascinating format. m
Awesome scenery. Great work. This is my favourite so far as Hal is brilliant! Keep it up. Get Dara or Jimmy Carr out of their comfort zones up a mountain!!!
Leaving a like for the camera operator!
He reads the comments so he’ll be happy to hear that.
If Ed doesn't make more of these , his razor-sharp mind will be missed here.

Hi Peggy, fellow mid~westerner here!
@@edventuring9092 That is nice to hear. Happy Venturing.

Wouldn't mind more of these.

Ed, you're a marvel. Thank you for these episodes. Just brilliant! 💜
Cheers Sue
Like these. I grew up in the Peak District so particularly enjoyed this one. Looking forward to more. 👍
Throughly enjoyed every one of these, and have also enjoyed walking the routes vicariously, at least for now. Looking forward to the next round, whenever it comes along.

This is my favourite UA-cam Channel. Thank you for showing walking is just a simple joy.
I never comment of videos, but had to for this one. Thanks for making these Ed! Keep going!

Keep ‘em coming Ed. Nice to see Hal out for a stroll and you out ready for a night out on a bare mountain 🤣
I always over prepare

Great series Ed. As a Scot I'd love to see Kevin Bridges or Frankie Boyle tackling a Munro or two.
Well, I’ll ask. Hoping to do a bunch in Scotland soon
These are brilliant! Thanks from New York!

I'd like to add; the eroding wall that you sat upon and walked along was fascinating to someone with an interest in History.

Spectacular view with the light after the rain @ 21:39.

Another wonderful walk and chat! Ed, you need to come to Iceland and hike to the volcano with Ari Eldjarn. You know you want to!
That is exactly what I plan to do

Thanks Richard. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for spreading the word.

I’ve really enjoyed this series, looking forward to maybe having some more as it gets easier to go out and about. One per national park?
Always enjoy these. I'd love to see Ed and Frankie Boyle chatting while walking up a Hill in Bonnie Scotland.
I really like Hal and enjoyed this interview. He doesn't seem to be on much recently.
