- In this video, I discuss preparations for printing ABS. This involved enclosing the printer, adding air filtration, and tuning/calibration. Once you nailed the ABS tune, print spare parts for anything inside the chamber. A jammed or runaway gantry/tool head can quickly break many pieces in short time, leaving the printer completely unusable.

When using smooth pei flex sheets you really need to prep them before use by sanding them with some 800ish grit sandpaper. Using a little bit of water helps to prvent the pei clogging the paper really fast. You don't need to go really heavy, just nice and even, knocking the sheen off the surface and making it look more matte. It really increases the adhesion and you can redo it if the adhesion starts to weaken again.
does the steppermotoronline brand offer good quality?
So far so good. Running close to 48 hours of print time now with no issue. The extruder motor is the FYSETC pancake from Amazon. That one is also good so far.
What is the yellow filament you used?
KVP Banana Yellow. The black ABS filament is also from KVP (Keene Village Plastics).
What's the cardboard looking enclosure material you are using? Is it better than polycabonate?
That is just a product called Corplast. Just corrugated plastic, comes in a lot of colors.
That is one of the basic default materials in the Voron spec. It is a corrugated/ fluted plastic board mainly used for cheap signs like real estate signs. Coroplast is a brand name for it. It is also called Corflute, signboard, fluteboard and probably other names. Its only advantage is its cheap, easy to cut and has some slight insulation effect because its dual layer like a honeycomb. It is not very strong, very flammable and ages poorly. Just about anything else is better but it does work.
