if you create a sheet metal model, smartunfold has the tool to flatten the model inside rhino, search "sheet metal unfold" in youtube.
That s neat thanks for sharing. Know that rhino has tools to flatten, don't know how it performs compared to the one you mentioned.
@@alex630710 Rhino has tool to unfold the double-curvature surface. Smartunfold.com also has, but they can unfold the multi-faces into a single 2D contour. Here for the sheet metal model, rhino doesn't have tool to flatten it. You need to consider K-factor. Smartunfold.com has.

Alexander, have You tried export car mesh from Rhino to Blender? If yes - is the mesh structure preserved in good shape?
Hi what you can do is use the Quad Remesh in Rhino V7 , you ll get beautiful quads everywhere and then export your mesh model to Blender. Quadremesh is a game changer and a beautiful way to bridge between polygons and Nurbs models.
