I have a cleaning service and I find your channel so helpful because u actually clean dirty things that need cleaning it’s frustrating to watch creators clean things that don’t need cleaning so we can’t see the actual results ! Thx for your amazing work on your channel. We appreciate you !!!
When I was a Candy Striper at our local hospital, the last thing we did after serving juice or coffee was to wash down the stainless steel carts we used. That was followed up with lemon oil. Although that was about 60 years ago, I never forgot about the lemon oil and I still use it on my stainless steel sink!
Always helpful ideas! I use old dryer sheets to clean smudges on bathroom mirrors. Also, they will easily clean the kitty cat “wax” they leaves on door frames, table legs, corners, etc.
I learned long ago that you should NOT use fabric softener on your towels or microfiber cloths. Fabric softener has an oil product (im not exactly sure what) but oil repels water, and you should want your towels to absorb the water off yourself after showering. As far as the microfiber cloths go, it alters the natural elements that make them so great.
I love your videos no matter the content , I always learn something new. I appreciate your time and energy testing all of these things out for us. I also love your demeanor and honesty. A very satisfied Andrea channel watcher .❤
Love your cleaning tips… if the basement vents are that dirty-what do you think it looks like inside.. I’m a “Southern gal”- with that -Bless your heart!! Get husband to unscrew your shower head, so very easy.. I too love that Downey rinse, so much better than softener esp on towels..
I enjoy you so much. We have 2 things in common, I was a Fitness Instructor for over 25yrs and I am a clean freak. At 70 yrs old, I have been cleaning a home for a Dr for 20 yrs. I have had so many major surgeries in a 2 yr period. I still keep active.
Great video. It was so easy to nderstand every word & understand everything which makes it easier to remember. Not rushing through everything is so much more enjoyable for the viewer. Have to go to products to see what spray you used for your whites. Couldn’t read it just from view. Thanks for good cleaning hints.
One of your best tips video so far; that drain cleaner segment was very satisfying must try. How do I clean quartz countertops on a regular basis and take out stains on marble and quartz countertops?
The shower I’m guilty of too! Thank you so much for your time and great tips for cleaning, I luv all your videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family and happy new year
What a great video for a Monday! Love the peroxide tip for the showerhead. Lemon oil polish? wow, had no idea and doing this when I finish typing - lol I knew there had to be a cloth that all you need is water? Norwex order on the way. Thank you so much for these awesome tips! Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! XO
You are funny, I've cleaned for yrs for people still do. Most people hate cleaning and don't do it good. Your great, hope who u live with appreciates you.
This is precisely why I would never switch out to black faucets I heard this happens. I'll stay with brushed nickel always and those shower stickers work good for maybe a week I have them but stopped using had to replace them too often. I vacuum my vents with the brush attachment but I like the sponge paint brush idea.
Yes, that first tip is def going to help with the shower drain. I have a stand-up shower too. It's hard finding shower mats that you can put over it so you don't slip. I use the Clorox mat with holes, but girl it gets dirty & gross within a few months! Do you have any tips for cleaning bath mats with suction cups on the bottom?
Soak it in hot water with bleach in the tub for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry. If you take it out after every use and dry it, this will slow down the mold formation.
@erindixon2877 We have a stand-up shower, a bit hard to soak it. I could try to find a tub to put it in. I ended up spraying it with some cleaner & took off the shower head & how powerful the water was, it got most of the grime off the suction cups. Super gross tho. I think the Clorox mat is probably the fastest-growing bacteria mat we've ever used. Options are limited though because it needs holes for the water to drain through it properly.
I would love to clean like you do but I am 78 years old, have authoritis, very bad knees and COPD, it makes it hard for me to clean, I haven't cleaned my house in 4 years, I tried but my body won't let me. I just tried to clean my counters off and I couldn't do anything else, I had to take a codeine, Tylenol and and then had to rest for a week, yet I do love watching you clean and the products you use, what is good and what is not, what works and doesn't work. Keep doing what you are doing I love it, even though I can't clean
Try and pace yourself when cleaning, a clean home can truly not only be therapeutic but sanitary especially as you age..w allergies, dust, bugs, etc trust me I know I have back pain that affects my everyday life..but I do clean little at a time, better than not at all..

Hi Andrea! I learn so much from your videos with your many great tips and ideas. Could you please state what the product is that you briefly hold out to show the camera? Often the print is small and I can't tell what the product name is. Thank you!
Hi Andrea, my name is Mary. I love all your tips and tricks for cleaning, thank you. I have a question, though. How do you suggest I clean heaters that are steel/iron?
You really should be wearing eye protection especially cleaning the shower head like you are. You also need to be very careful mixing different types of cleaners like you are on the shower head head. Also you need to be in a very well ventilated area. I almost died being chemically poisoned at work and I learned a whole lot from that experience on protection and chemicals. Trust me lime away in your eyes is not going to feel good and you don't want to learn the lesson the hard way like I did at work.
@tanyad7073 I'm just trying to help others not go through what I did. I also have a traumatic brain injury from my accident at work. So sometimes I don't know how to word things properly. Most people don't even read the warning labels on the chemicals on how to properly use them. Almost 20 years later, I'm still struggling from my chemical poisoning at work, and I don't want to see anybody else go through what I'm going through. So I apologize if I sound condescending. But if I can keep one person from getting injured from chemicals, it's worth it no matter how it sounds or how I say it.
@@td3139 understandable. My point was just that Andrea Jean does this for a living and I have seen vids where she does address safety. I can absolutely appreciate where you're coming from. I'm sorry that you had to go through that ❤️
My son just made fun of me for cleaning my wall vents when he visited 😂 I also repainted the ones that were starting to show rust spots 😂😊😂 Cause I’m a lil extra too 🙌🏽 I do remove them about once a year and vacuum out the insides of the wall vent 😂
I just recently found your channel I absolutely love your videos and appreciate your true opinions and that you’re not sponsored that these just come from your own experience I’d have to say the drain cover sticky things. I definitely just ordered some of those. That was one of my biggest problems. thank you for sharing all your hacks and your tips.😊
I've never heard of using vinegar with fabric softener, but I do use it in the first rinse as fabric softener and it works great. It gets rid of any odors and yhe clothes are soft. However, I do not use fabric softener on certain things, like towels or jeans
One thing I have no clue about and always worries me is when washing all the different cleaning cloths with such a variety of chemicals I always let them air dry because I’m afraid if I use the dryer, they might be combustible and cause a fire in case there are residual chemicals in each cloth. 🤷♀️
That's why I didn't want a set shower head. Mine goes into vinegar or scale remover twice a month, works wonders. Plus using a filter helps a lot with scale 😅 In the drain I use a specific granular product, gets rid of hairs and grime in 10 minutes. 😊 No stainless steel sink or cooking top either, couldn't get the ones I had cleaned properly, without a lot of ugly marks.
TBH, apart from the fact that I've never had a clothes dryer and the only "vents" in my home are the fans in the bathrooms. My first thought when I saw you start to go through all those steps to clean the vents was; "Why don't you use your vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment on?" I do and it works perfectly fine. I've watched videos of professional dryer vent cleaners and they use a vacuum cleaner hose to get right into the dryer vent. It will SHOCK you as to the amount of fluff they get out. A little toothbrush and a few dryer sheets will just not cut it. That build up is a fire hazard.
I need to buy some of that Lime Away toilet cleaner! Spent 30 mins scrubbing Ma's toilet and got nowhere! Here's my tip for you: try using a denture brush instead of a regular toothbrush for your cleaning, works wirh less effort.
@AndreaJean I use dryer sheets to clean the inside burned pots~ just add a sheet or 2 & a bit of dish soap/liquid dishwasher soap (either works); if it's really burnt on stuff, bring it to a boil & stir the dryer sheets against the burnt stuff & it pretty much wipes away. Then, once cool, use the dryer sheets to finish cleaning the rest. The sheets are almost like scratcher pads, but genle & I've never had them harm any of my pans. You can also use dryer sheets on glass stovetop... just wet them, lay them down. leave for awhile, wipe up/use to scrub a li'l & they'll clean all the gross, burnt gunk off the surface lickitty split! Those dryer sheets have some amazing properties & awesome uses beyond our dryers...

In my kitchen sink drain (I don’t have a garbage disposal), there is a drain cover (it looks like a star?), not the stopper. It gets gunked🤢up.
