I owned a piper meridian in 2006 and it was a mess. Tremendous expenses in maintenance and repairs, annuals, etc. Far exceeded my annual expenses of my CJ2 ! Amazing to see how far evolution has taken the basic frame. Piper has certainly found its best aircraft. Just need to get to 450…. Weather is always the limiting factor is this plane.

Better would be hard to determine. M700 most likley will be cheaper purchase and ownership. But the 960 has it beat almost on every performance stat plus some other components.
Ive seen you ask a few different times about a time table or recommended progression for ga pilots looking to move upto turboprop aircraft and no one seems to answer you. From your perspective what would be a good starting place for number of hours and aircraft progression? Ive been looking at different options considering speed difference and avionics as two of the bigger hurdles to consider. With the Gen 7 SR22T having the G3000 avionics do you think its reasonable to move from that to a TBM 960 or the new Beechcraft Denali with G3000?
Price range ?, approx cost of a typical annual inspection or(AAIP) @ one of his Piper Service Centers ?, and yearly (insurance required) recurrent training cost. Just my opinion, but, hopefully even Big Earn wouldn’t be taking up his family, on an, over terrain, winter, actual IFR trip with only 25 recent hrs. in type.
