Muslims did the same everywhere they conquered and continue to do it today with ISIS destruction of Palmyra which is Jahiliyya to them and The Taliban's destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas for shirk to the Nalanda library in India. Christians haven't acted like this in over 100 years.

I'm from SEA. What the British/Dutch/Portuguese/Spanish did were brutal. Look at phillipines, India or Indonesia for instance slums in very bad condition with their resources drained after they came. Now we're dirt poor and Thier countries are well developed...
Leave Indonesia out please. Personally I've seen them have seen development over these years. Even if the living condition from developed countries point of view is poor, cleanliness is important because the majority are Muslims there. The streets are safe for most people. Unlike India it is totally unsafe for female tourists and the Philippines has dirty smelly stench on the streets don't mention the crime rates yet.

One cannot deny the objective truth that the condition of African nations prior to colonisation was objectively undeveloped and backwards when compared to Industrialised Europe at that time. You should also look at how phrenologists and Darwinists described Gaelic men with names like my own at this time. The 19th century saw the Irish potato famine and highland clearances which were also justified in racial(national)/Darwinist terms. If those French colonists saw you here and now would they consider you one of their Évolué as a result of your western education & socialization? It has rather come about as a result of independence from colonial empires and their subsequent Islamisation/ Africanisation of the institutions which the Europeans and Colonial Évolué Founding Fathers had built and left behind.
Dai'is and mujahids intentions to free people from jahiliyah is a religious matter which would free people from being jahil (ignorant) of the truth (islam) and therfore save them from the hellfire. Colonialists intentions where not to free people from hellfire and where not based on religion, was solely based on economics, rascism, and stealing natural resources and domination for dominations sake. After mujahids and dai'is free people from jahiliyah they don't steal there wealth and commit atrocities, they treat them as brothers in faith because that what they become once accepting islam, whereas on the other hand, Colonialists would rather share food with a dog than with one of there subjects whom they had conquered.
@@mubarakj8765 clearly in the video it is explained that the colonists had more motivations than just prestige, power, conquest and resources but also a desire to advance their civilisation by educating the Africans into their European ways. Mujahideen could have that motivation as you said but they could also just want Jannah and hooris or concubines slaves and booty in this life if the jihad is successful. That is little different than your characterisation of the European one. Let it be known also that the depressed state the Europeans found Africa in was contributed in part by participation in the Islamic civilisation. Their modern states, technology, institutions, religions and national identities are a resulted in part from European colonisation. If it had not happened I struggle to see what progress they would have made considering their return to their pre-colonial depressed state in the post-colonial era.
