Great video, very interesting. I keep having 2 questions: 1. What is the objective of S&OP? 2. what will be your recommendation for a business that tries to implement/do S&OP when is not yet mature for it?
1. the objective of S&OP is to present a consolidated and consensus plan to the head of the business, the managing director or CEO, that the executive team and their teams believe is the best and most likely representation of the future demand and supply aspects of the business spanning a minimum 13 month but ideally 24 month planning horizon along with associated alternative scenarios to the most likely for example best case and worst case in a fully financialized model
2. S&OP can be started in businesses that are not mature. Implementing a basic and simplified S&OP process therefore act as an enabler to developing business maturity. We have done this many times and seen the maturity growth in businesses as they adopt the financial rigour and structure of S&OP requirements.

Great video. Very informative.
Can a Senior business developement manager present a s&op to the company ?
Present the idea? Or manage the S&OP process?
@@supplychainsecrets present the idea and manage the process
@@fatnamaach7632 I'm not sure why a business development manager would do that, rather than a supply chain manager.
