@supplychainsecrets, Love this video: at timestamp 3:55, could you give an example or even better, a case study about processes & changes that could optimize Transport Carrier for Operational Profiles? (you advised to, "ask for a slightly different task, and get a better cost"). Many thanks in advance!
Simple example. A company sorts all their freight and shrink wraps all the parcels onto pallets, based on which State they are going to. The transport carrier picks them, breaks down all the pallets, and puts the parcels through a sorter! STOP palletizing the parcels. The company saved 12 staff and the transport company 5 staff. It's about looking at each step in the process and questioning why you do things in a certain way.
I'm studying Logistics and Supply Chain. This Channel is giving me tremedous feedbacks about how to look at the same things with different eyes. Keep going! It's incredible what you do here Sir.
You’re spot on! But I would add supplier and customer collaboration, which helps demand forecasting, inventory management, quality of product/service etc.. simple collaboration could free up plenty of working capital

It's such a wonderful and informative video!!! I am a new audience to your channel and I am really curious about the main drivers and metrics in supply chain this year 2021, would you mind making a video about that? Or if you already have one, could you type the name of the video so I could find and then watch it, thanks so much for the knowledge that you share with us. Have a good day.

This is great information. Thank you for sharing. This could be within your warehousing bucket, but I believe that labor planning and scheduling optimization and productivity initiatives could also help to improve CTS. What do you think about staffing and productivity improvements to help increase CPH/UPH or just to have the right amount of labor in the facility?
In addition to this, having the right forecasting system and reducing turnover could also help with CTS. An improper forecast could drive up labor cost (or impact the facilities ability to operate efficiently) and turnover could impact productivity. There are so Amy unlocks on CTS within Supply Chain. Your content has helped me to get my thoughts together on this big rock.
You'll find some videos on the channel about it. Just use the playlists or search function. But I would say Simple, Clear, Focussed, Easily Understood by All, and Directly Related to Organisational Goals.

What information would you give to battle inflation? All the information you are giving is perfecting internal operations. How do we deal external changes in the market and vendor demands?
I'm not sure anyone has a strategy for battling inflation Mark. I guess it comes down to good supplier management, negotiating well, having long term contracts in place as a hedge, and always having alternative sources of supply.
@@supplychainsecrets Probably because they stay hidden and dont contribute to significant costs. But with growing need for information, expensive ERP tools, increasing integration across functions (along and across the supply chain) , I guess they would soon start getting factored in.

Yes. I agree. But sadly not always easy to establish.

Yes, there are many areas that have an impact on CTS, so labour planning would be one of those.

How to minimize inventory level deside just in time ?
May be do you have any suggestion ?
That is far too big a question to answer here. Maybe I'll do a video on it.

IT is another element to maintain costs in the supply chain. Is it?
IT can help. But it is not a cost saver in itself. It can for example help with better planning and improve efficiency.

What other Supply Chain cost saving tips would you add?
Transactional costs and possibly the cost of storing data - which is evergrowing.

Missed on packaging, manpower, infrastructure.
Yes indeed. There are dozens of areas to focus on. I just picked my top 6.
How to negotiate the price with single supplier? He is like demanded his products.
Very hard. Always better to have back up suppliers.
