I'm so glad you don't listen to people complaining that "the video is too long, you stop too many times". It is so great to witness the genius of Eminem through the eyes (ears) of someone who really understands what is going on, and can truly break it down. Thank you!
Appreciate it bro. This was not an easy one but I’m glad I finally got to it 🙌

love the long reactions honestly. who doesn’t want more of something great???

The fact that you can break down every single bar is one thing, but what seriously impresses me is your knowledge of history and pop culture, you’ve got a lot of random ass information stored up in that meat chest of yours lol
Im not a native speaker but the knowledge he drops is often simplified and sometimes full with holes so yes he has a great amount of random information but its often only on a surface lvl.
Wich is still fucking impressive to be honest because most ppl need to put in hours to learn all that shit (including me) but we should still fact check his information and read about it ourself, instead of taking his words for all of that. (This is written befor I watched this video and Im referring to his videos in general)
@@josefehling1134 He comes prepared for the breakdown or he cuts out the part where he does some factchecks or he cuts out the part where he has to listen same bar multiple times.
@@samratneupane8429 possible but me and most of my friends who are nerds could actually do that (drop the knowledge without preparation because it's on a surface lvl, couldn't do a breakdown tho because I am not as good in getting those little references and sometimes its just a reach (death of the author and so on))
@@samratneupane8429 possible, what's your point?
'Chuck Norris wit a thesaurus' is the best way I've ever heard Em describe himself.
The revival album era of eminem was so underrated
The true Em fans and hip hop heads recognize the lyricism, but yeah in the general music world it's very underappreciated
"I'm known for somersaults"
I'm known for some assaults - or is that a stretch?

You know one of the things I love most about you knox hill? The fact that you don't skip bits of the song, after you pause you back up instead of starting right where it was left off. For some reason most reactors seem to just skip seconds at a time on songs in their vidoes. Or start right back up where they left off. But you don't do that and I love ya for it.
Prince fielder played for the brewers, tigers and rangers. At the time Fielder played for the Detroit Tigers. He's going to hit a home run into the upper peninsula of Michigan
Em so subtly does this that I did not even notice it until now when he links the end of the Trayvon scheme with the beginning of the next. "Present for him" and then "Present form". The way he bends words is just mind blowing. It is an art form in itself.
I didn’t look at the time when I clicked on the video and thought to myself that this would have to be near an hour video
You were right lol
99% percent of this song rhymes that's amazing this men is a genius
Hey Knox,
Thank you for making these videos, I've watched all of your em reactions ha, I actually found your channel back when you uploaded your darkness reaction and honestly it never ceases to amaze me how much pop culture and history that you know.
Your general ability to breakdown ems bars is always impressive and your production remarks and general cadence and rhyme patterns being pointed out always makes your vids stand out amongst any of the other reaction channels that I've watched over the years.
But the main thing I gain from watching your videos, beyond the general enjoyment of watching someone be so happy explaining all the technicalities of something I love, is that you'll point out details about pop culture or history that em mentions or that are tangentially linked that I don't know enough about to fully get the bar but I also knew just enough to feel like I've not missed out on something until you explain the detail and its like a smiley realisation of oh yeah there's even more to that line than what I noticed kind of thing.
I'm from the UK so while a lot of American pop culture definitely does find it's way over here, stuff from before the Internet and in the last 5 or so years I am definitely a bit more out of touch with compared to historical stuff or general knowledge.
Cause I've had a lot of stress from medical situations past 10 years, but especially the last 5 years, I just didn't keep up with pop culture anymore (luckily I'd already found BTS before I fell off the pop culture awareness as I found them music wise back in early 2016 and then found their videos in their fake love era ha so thank you very much for those videos too always awesome to see someone delve into the rabbit hole of their production and lyrics) so having you actually point that stuff out really helps me enjoy em's music that 10% more.
I always loved science based learning but also really loved etymology and the way language has evolved and how it intermingled through history and having a rapper like em is just so next level awesome. He has so many science based schemes too haha.
Em is someone who I've listened to since he released stan and I first saw it on MTV in the UK (at around 8 years old then listened to his non mtv played music from 11 when we got a computer) and I have loved his music ever since, for two main reasons:
1) his language is beautifully constructed and he never feels the need to oversimplify a beautiful idea and his metaphors can run for entire songs sometimes, take the beat away and quite a few of his songs would be classed as beautiful prose. He also has a lot of shady shit too but even those songs are so intricate and brilliantly crafted. And again even in those songs he never shies away from intricate rhymes with interesting words rather than just explaining an idea in the simplest format he usually will try to twist it into something new and relatively complex.
2) the way he uses his voice. Again, bearing in mind I haven't listened to every rapper who has ever existed but of the many that I have listened to, he is the only one who is so meticulous with how he uses his voice. I mean he has so much control over not just his enunciation and emphasis but also pitch control and the way he controls his breath also contributes to just his sheer mastery of rap in that you never feel like he's gonna choke.
Alot of singers and rappers you'll get oddly nervous when they get to a complicated part of their song but with em I haven't felt that and I think its due to how well he controls his breath even in his slower raps.
So basically, thank you for your videos and they have provided a very helpful and appreciated distraction from the day to day pain from hip injuries and surgeries. I will always be very grateful that you decided to delve into such detail in your reactions as truly these em reactions especially (and now BTS reactions too, thank you again for those) have helped to distract me at some of the worst moments of pain.
Truly thank you.
P.s. hope you feel better soon.
Your reaction when song started made my day!😂
"been known for somersaults" "been known for some assaults"
I think this one might have slipped past you boss.
But Lord knows you caught 100 that i would have missed! it's all love bb

Hello Mr. Knox! I'm not a native English talker, since I watch you from Romania, but, I gotta say that you're sooo underappreciated, because you're basically dissect every Em's bar, and, to be honest, I haven't seen anyone on this platform, do that better than you, man. And I'm sayin' this cuz I watch a lot of people reacting to Eminem songs.
All I wanted to say is that you should keep up the great work you already do, and also, that you've got watchers from Romania as well.
Have a great one!
Finallyyyyy.....
Jesus Christ, Knox finally did it👏
After so many months of requesting, even got tired of requesting
2:18 - it was the Treacherous 4. Originally it's DJ Easy Lee, Spoonie G, Kool Moe Dee & L.A. Sunshine. Treacherous 4 and they were knownas that on the streets. And Em was way in Detroit, he even knew that. Spoonie G gets subbed in by Special K. Em is showing that he knows how long he's been listening to Hip-hop. DJs started it and DJs were official members. Eric B (Dj) & Rakim. Dj Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The list goes on.

It is a freestyle
Depends on your definition of a freestyle. This is certainly not completely off the top, i.e. King Los / Harry Mack

Appreciate it man. Thanks for continuing to support
I’ve been waiting forever for you to react to this song!!!!!
15:52 The one ball also could be a reference, cause there was some controversy that Hitler and an another famous history person who now doesn't come to my mind had one testicle. So he is evil like those, but more advanced with it,like an apple watch
Yes I got one you didn't get Knox! You caught the "Olympic gymnast, been know for, somersaults." As in flipping words and sounds and stuff, but if you break the words down like Em always does it's "Olympic gymnast, been known for, some assaults." Right around when he's in a court and lawsuit scheme. I can't believe you catch as much as you do but I'm always stoked to get one you didn't. Keep em comin big dog
One of my personal favourites by Em. Really well picked apart, of course you're always bound to miss a thing here and there on something like this, but that was absolutely fantastic. I've listened to this so many times and still learned something new even now.
Jesus Christ ... Marshall is so profound.... this is not a skill, this is straight up a superpower. Phenomenal
Thank you Knox. I’ve been a Eminem for my whole life and I never fully understand how much of a lyrical genius Em really is til you came out with the reactions.
He kept the same 3 sylable rhyme scheme for like the first 2 minutes
“Picket me like a scab” someone crosses a picket line is called a scab
Can we just appreciate this man had the same rhyme scheme for the first minute and a half basically acapella. FILLED with bars.. Unreal.
Loved your take on how hip-hop has always been political. Thanks for that.
Much love bro 🙌
It has been but in the past I feel like they bash the system as a whole not just one side like Em has been doing lately. Like talking about holding Trump voters under water and shit. That's not even talking politics that's a diss on his fans and over half the country. For that I say he is a fake woke joke. How ever he is a good rapper and a goat no doubt
@@marshallbradley6172 1. he’s fake woke for dissing ppl that he believes are complicit in the perpetuation of harm by supporting Trump? He’s kind of just objectively correct.
2. He has always bashed republicans; listen to Mosh, or White America. He dissed Bush in old freestyles too, just like he disses Trump today.
@@officialasa so your saying it's cool to point out one side but not the other. Trump did a lot to help compared to Joe. So where is the joe diss? That to me makes it look fake. Evil is evil no matter the party.
@@marshallbradley6172 You guys don't have options, its either Left Or Right. It seems like you want either Trump or Anarchy lol
Knox, you should definitely give MC Sniper a try. Especially:
- "Better than yesterday" (collaboration of several Korean rappers, including on of the fastest rappers in the world, Outsider. Awesome beat, great flow switches and multiple styles)
- "Gloomy Sunday" (a track he recorded for his friend who took his own life. The beat is awesome and the inclusion of a full string orchestra in the melody makes it absolutely awesome).
Both tracks have English lyric subtitles in the official videos.
NWA started off talking about Politics and Law enforcement abuse. That was way in the 90s. So yea, Hip Hop has always included Politics and it always will.
Back in NWA days racist cops where a thing but now a days all those people he listed was in the wrong. Left the cop no choice. So if your going to rap on it know the facts first. That goes for Trump as well.

Knox only you have the balls to break down this song. Other reactors dont want to break this down due to the complexity of this track. Hats off to you sir!
the mummy dustin hoffman line was reference to at a live show dustin met eminem and told him how big of a fan his son is and em offered to have him be the mummy dancing on stage for the brain damage song at the end of the song dustin reveal who he was
Cmon people give this man his respect he knows everything about every name, moment, history, stories every single bar broken down to the finest detail he really helps people like me from the uk cos I don’t get a lot of the u.s. parts without knox
I don't know how you are not the biggest reaction channel yet. Your knowledge and intricate way of breaking down lyrics and intelligence is just on another level!

Knox, I've been waiting patiently for your take on campaign speech. Thanks.
You'll survive, hopefully. xD
Eminem is a human dictionary period no one can do it like him 🐐🐐🐐
Your attention to detail is second to none, some reactors are great at catching bars or highlighting rhyme schemes. But you pay attention to everything, bars, flow, rhyme schemes, production subtleties. Unreal.
Taylor Schilling.. who plays Piper Chapman.. was one of the actors that was against the strike when the Screen Writers Guild went on strike.. which would make her a scab.. that was a great punchline...

Daaamn dude that intro is fire
That summer sault bar was really meant to be heard as "Been known for some assaults" dating back to when he pistol whipped that 6'2 bouncer
Thank you for your reaction and breakdown:)
Em's wordplay and rhyme schemes are out of this world:)
I really like how he breaks it all down. Only someone who's in the game and has talent like him can truly break his words down so we can get the full meaning and emotion behind his words. Thanks man!
I don’t know if this is a reach, but also when he said “treacherous four-cassette”- I wonder if he was talking about a cassette by Treach the rapper, who Eminem said he admired and listened to back in the day.
Now that I think about it, that could totally fit in there and would add an EXTRA EXTRA layer of dope.
That’s right I did see this one…. But ya know it’s fun to see again, like I said we both keep learning more every day!

46:11 “scab” is a common term used for people a company brings in to work when there is a strike and picket lines. Think “The Replacements” with Keanu.
Around 20 minutes in I caught he is actually using his voice and flow to produce the music of an old slasher movie. Mind blown!
Can you please elaborate?
Eminem is the boat. (Best of all time)
The extra back story behind every bar you provide is great

Great and in-depth reaction as always. Knox Goat status on this one for sure.
The gymnastics bars I heard it as some assaults not somersaults. Both fit for sure.
It was a double for sure.

It says something about your music Knox, that I don't skip your intros. It's just so damn good I can't bear to miss it lol
